Kavya's POV

Shit!

I forgot that I made daal chawal for him too.

God! What should I do? I just want to leave Kabir and all this and go somewhere to relax.

But, where should I go?

I can't go to Bhai's house. All of them had gone to meet Bhabhi's mother as she had appendix operation. I also called bhabhi and talked with her mom and asked eveyrthing about her operation.

I just want to go away from Kabir and this place for few days.

I should go to Nashik and stay with Tanisha for few days, if she is okay with it.

I called Tanisha and she picked up the call immediately.

'Are you back from office?' I asked.

'I got back and just freshened up and now I will prepare dinner. Did something happen? It feels like you were crying?' she asked and tears started rolling down my cheeks.

'I don't want to stay here anymore. I need a break for some days. If I stay here, I have to face Kabir and right now, I don't want to do it. Can I come to stay with you for some days? I will not stay for many days as I have school but---

'Babes, calm down and stop crying. I will not ask you anything. You can tell me after coming here, but, one thing that I know is, Kabir is a big businessman but he is stupid when it comes to relationship. Anyways, how will you come here? By bus? When you will come? I will also take a leave and we can stay here for some days and then I will come there and stay there for some days as I also want a break,' she said.

'Buses are not available everyday. You can come by train also but it will be crowded. And ola and uber cars are very expensive. Does anybody you know have a car and can they drop you off?' she asked and my mind immediately went to Tarun.

'Yes, I have a friend who is here for few days. I will ask him to drop me tomorrow and if he is not available, I will come by bus,' I said.

'Okay, babes. Then I will apply for leave for a week and mail it tomorrow morning. I have many holidays left so leave will not be an issue. And, I will send you the address. Ask your friend if he can drop you off and if not, I will tell you about the buses. And, your friend can also stay with us and we all can see the nearby places. We can sleep together and he can sleep alone in another room and while returning also, we can return in his car,' she said.

'But, what if your landlord minds it?' I asked.

'She herself stays with a guy twenty years younger than her. What will she say?' Tanisha said making me laugh.

'But, my friend has to take care of his sister and niece. I don't think he will agree to stay,' I said.

'Actually, here I am being selfish. If he comes, then we will have a car. Nowadays it rains anytime, so car will be better,' she said.

'I will ask him and tell you,' I said and cut the call and called Tarun.

'Hello! Did your mind change? Are you coming to watch the movie but you lost the chance. The movie will start in ten minutes,' he said.

I should have gone to watch movie with him then nothing would have happened but it didn't feel right.

'Can I talk to you for few minutes? I want a help,' I said.

'Can you drop me to Nashik tomorrow morning?' I asked.

'Nashik?' he asked.

'Yes. I want to go to meet my friend, Tanisha,' I said.

'Okay. Actually, you asked me at the right time. Jiju is back for few days to meet didi. The tour is not finished but he came unofficially as it is raining there so work can't be done. Again he will leave after the rain stops there and finish the work and then come back permanantly. And when Jiju is there it feels awkward,' he said.

'Your jiju has come back. Then you can stay with us, right?' I said.

'What?' he sounded surprised and, with the way I said it, obviously anyone will get surprised.

'I mean, me and my friend are being selfish here. We want a car to roam around as it is raining on some days,' I told him the truth.

'So, basically you want a driver?' he asked.

'Sorry, if you don't want to---

'Hey! It's okay. I am glad that you told the truth. No problem, because of you guys, I can also see Nashik. I will book a room nearby your friend's house.'

'No, she has two rooms. Me and my friend can stay in a room and you can stay in another room. Then, you don't even have to pay for hotel room and you can get proper meals,' I said.

'You had planned this also? You were so sure that I will come?'

'No. It's just that---

'But, you didn't come to watch movie with me today, but you were sure that I will come to drop you off and stay there?" he cut me off.

'I am really sorry for not coming today,' I apologized again.

'It's okay. Jiju will give me his car as he has the car provided by his office for the tour. I will be your driver and thank you for giving me a place to stay and proper meals in return for that,' he said, but it sounded sarcastic.

'Sorry for not coming with you today. Thank you once again. I will remember for the whole life,' I ignored his sarcasm as I know he was angry that I didn't went to watch movie with him.

'Okay. Now I will enjoy the film. I will meet you tomorrow at 7 a.m.' he said and cut the call.

Then I called Tanisha and told her everything and she also said that she has sent mail to office.

I am feeling so bad that Tarun is upset. Anyways, I will again ask for his forgiveness till he is not upset anymore.

I went to have my dinner even though I was not feeling like it as I don't want to waste food. And, the dinner I prepared for Kabir I have to eat tomorrow morning as breakfast.

After dinner, I decided to sleep early even though I know sleep will not come to me.

'I am so sorry for not coming with you to watch the movie,' I said as I sat in the backseat of the car.

'Hey! It's okay. I felt hurt a little but I understand that you must have your reasons. Leave all that and give me the address,' he said and I gave him the address.

'Thank you for coming with me. I will be gratetful to you my whole life,' I said.

'Did something happen? You are going there so urgently?' he asked.

Yes. I want to forget about everything for few days. I am tired of everything.

'Nothing happened. I just wanted a change,' I lied.

'Okay. Then I will also see Nashik because of you and that too without spending money on food and hotel. I will only have to be your driver, right?' he asked making me laugh.

'How was the movie yesterday?' I asked.

'I enjoyed it. It was fun,' he said.

'Did you take leave from school?' he asked.

'Yes. I mailed them this morning.'

'Who teaches the student if you are absent?' he asked.

'Other teachers take my class,' I told him and he nodded his head and put on the music.

After that both of us were silent.

We reached to Tanisha's place earlier than expected as we have not stopped anywhere even though Tarun insisted that we should have something but I didn't feel like having anything.

We got out of the car and I rang the doorbell.

'Wow! I didn't expect you to be this early,' she said as she opened the door.

She was wearing a white plain top with black jeans.

I called her while leaving but after that I didn't call her.

'Yes, there was hardly any traffic,' I said as we went inside.

'Hi! I am Tarun,' he greeted himself as we kept the bag.

'Hi! I am Tanisha. Thank you so much for bringing her here. We both are so grateful,' she said.

'No problem! I will also see famous places of Nashik because of both of you,' he said with a smile on his face.

'I will make sure you enjoy with us. I have cleaned up the room for you. You can go and freshen up,' she said as she gestured him towards a room and he went in the room.

I looked around and felt that she had only kept a sofa in the hall and there were only few utensils in the kitchen. She took me to her bedroom which only had a bed and two suitcase, bathroom and small balcony was in her room.

'When I came here, I only bought a sofa and a bed. The family which used to stay before me, kept the bed which is in the other room and see, now that bed came to use. Tarun can be comfortable,' she said.

'Yes. And, it's good that you didn't buy much. It becomes problem when shifting to another house,' I said as we sat on the bed.

'Yes. That's why I didn't buy many things I wanted to buy, specially, T.V. and wardrobe. I miss watching news on T.V.,' she said.

'So, how are you? What did Handsome do this time? It must be something big,' she said and I told her everything.

'What? Handsome is your first kiss? You and your husband never did anything?' This was the first question she asked after listening everything.

'No. Anyways, leave all that. I am tired of Kabir and him always blaming me. I came here to refresh myself and to get some mental peace. Let's talk about something else. What about you? How is your best friend whom you love?' I asked and her face dropped.

'He is getting married in few months with his girlfriend, and, yes, I am upset but not that much. I am slowly moving on.'

'I hope you find a guy who will love you so much that you will never remember about your friend,' I said.

'I dont know if I will find anybody. Anyways, I will go and prepare something light. By the way, what does Tarun like?' she asked.

'I don't know what he likes or don't like.'

'What? What type of friends are you?' she asked.

'We are not that close but now we are trying to be good friend. Actually, he is trying to be a good friend whereas I still have my guards up,' I said.

'How did you met?' she asked and I told her about us being together for a project in our last year of college and I even told her about the breakup and also about his sister's miscartiage.

'I hate girls who cheat. She should rot in hell. I mean, it's not like he was partying, he was working and he tried to take out time to meet her, ' she said.

'Yes. I also said the same. Anyways, don't say anything in front of him. He might get upset if he comes to know that I told you everything. Actually, I didn't wanted to tell you, but I told you in a flow,' I said and she laughed.

'Don't worry. My lips are sealed. Anyways, you go and freshen up. I will go and ask him if he is allergic to anything. And, sorry, I don't have a wardrobe so you have to keep your clothes in bag,' she said.

'Hey! Don't be sorry otherwise I will leave right now,' I said.

'How will you leave? I will tie you up if you think about leaving,' she joked and both of us laughed and then she left.

It feels so good to be here with her. I never thought that I will come to her house when I first met her but now, look at me, sitting on her bed. Life surely has a way of surprising us.

Tanisha's POV(You guys didn't expect her point of view, right?😄)

I knocked his door to see that door is already open. I went inside to see him coming out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist.

He looked friendly at first sight. The kind of friend who can make your mood better on a bad day. He was not like those businessman who are aloof and bossy.

'Oh, you took a bath? I would have told you how the tap of hot water and cold water works, if you had told me that you will take a bath,' I said as he wore a white shirt.

Even though he was dark, he looked attractive with a little stubble and that messy hair.

'After some difficulties, I came to know how to use it,' he said.

'I am so sorry that I have no wardrobe. You have to keep your clothes in your bag,' I said as I looked at the bag.

'No problem. You saved the money of hotel,' he said and we laughed.

'Anyways, I wanted to ask, do you have any allergies?' I asked.

'I am allergic to brinjal. If I have it, I get rashes,' he told me.

'Got it,' I said and went in the kitchen.

I ordered readymade dosa batter online and put the potato in pressure cooker to boil.

'Should I help you?' he asked as he came and stood beside me.

'No. You can go and rest,' I said and looked at him to see that he has put on blue jeans and even wore a scent and combed his hair.

'No. I want to help you. By the way what are you preparing?' he asked.

'I have ordered readymade dosa batter from the market. Till that comes, I will start preparing sambhar and aloo curry,' I said as I started cutting vegetables.

'I will help you,' he said and started cutting bottleguard while I was cutting onion.

'You are my guest. Please, go and rest. I will make it,' he said.

'You took away my chance of befriending you by calling me a guest,' he pretended to be upset making me laugh.

'Don't do drama. And cut all the vegetable,' I said as I gave him carrot and beans also.

'So, Kavya told me you are a businessman,' I said.

'Yes.'

'It must be good to be your own boss, right?' I asked.

'Everything has it's advantage and disadvantage. Where do you work?' he asked.

'In at IT company nearby.'

'Cool,' he said as bell rang.

'It must be the dosa batter you ordered. Wait! I will go,' he opened the door and took the dosa batter and closed the door.

'You came at the right time. I was going to call you,' I said to Kavya as she came and stood in the kitchen and looked at Tarun making aloo curry.

'He has prepared aloo curry and I have prepared sambhar and dosa.'

'I am sorry that I fall asleep. I should have came to help you,' she said.

'No problem. Tarun helped me. I know that you didn't sleep last night,' I said and Tarun looked at us.

'Kavya, are you okay? I know something happened otherwise you would not leave everything and come here. Wait, let me guess, is it about that guy who didnt drink the coffee?' he asked and I looked at Kavya.

'He knows Kabir?' I asked.

'Yes. I met him. He seemed so rude,' he said making me laugh.

'Handsome is rude till you are not close to him. Once you are in his "close people" list, he can do anything for you.'

'Handsome?' he asked.

'Yes. We are friends from young age. I call him "handsome" and he calls me "princess.' I told him.

'So, is there a love rift between them?' he asked looking at Kavya.

'Love rift? He doesn't love me. He considers me his 'special friend,' Kavya answered.

'Anyone can see that he loves you, Kavya. He seemed so angry by our closeness. He loves you and can't see you with anyone else,' he said.

'See! I told you he loves you, but he himself doesn't know it,' I said to Kavya as I took out the last dosa from the pan and kept it in the plate.

'When he came to know that I love him, he rejected me and said that he only considers me a friend. And after some events, I was tired of everything and wanted to have some peace so I came here,' Kavya said.

'He is stupid. Even a blind person can see that he loves you,' Tarun said

'Wow! I said the exact same thing,' I said excitedly as I served them plates and we took it in the hall and I sat on the floor.

'Sorry, I usually sit on the floor to eat. I have not bought dining table or table and it becomes hard to sit on the sofa and eat with plate in my hands so I sit on the floor. Actually, hardly anyone comes here so----

'Hey! I used to sit like this with mom and dad when I was young. You reminded me of our old days,' Tarun said.

'Yes. Till I was ten, we sat on the floor but then dad bought dining table and it took me months to adjust myself. I also love to sit on the floor with everybody and eat as there's a gap between people while eating on dining table,' Kavya said.

'And now also, most of the time I don't sit on dining table. I sit on the sofa and keep the plate on the table which is infront of the sofa,' she continued.

I have to atleast buy a table to keep in front of sofa. I have to buy so many things, but it gets harder during shifting and if someday, I will leave this job, I will also have to leave the house as I rented this house as it is twenty minutes away from my office.

'Wow! You guys are awesome. And, specially, Tarun. I thought you are a businessman so you must be---

'Like Kabir, right?' he said making us laugh.

'Yes. Something like that,' I said.

'Kabir is not that bad,' Kavya said.

'His lover has defended him,' Tarun said, again making us laugh.

'I have laughed so much after so many days. Kavya, thanks for coming and bringing him with you,' I gestured towards Tarun.

'I talk with everybody in office, but nobody are my friends. Everyone is colleague,' I said.

'True. Same with me. I have got a friend in you, Tanisha,' Kavya said.

'And also I have got him,' she said to Tarun.

'Still, you didn't come to watch a movie with me,' he said and I got confused.

'Movie?' I asked.

'Yes. I asked her to join her for a movie but she declined,' he said.

'I am sorry,' she said.

'I just want to know the reason of you rejecting me,' he said.

'Tarun, we have met after so many years and during the time we were doing project, you were not my that close friend, just a classmate with whom I have been assigned a project. We never talked heart to heart so it takes time for me to be close,' she said.

'So, now also we are not that close but you had no one, so you asked me to drop you here?' he asked. He looked sad.

'I am sorry for asking your help,' she said.

'That's not the issue, Kavya. I am glad that you thought of me when you were in need, but I am asking you to give our friendship a chance. I know, during our college days, we didn't talk much but now that we met again, let's give our friendship a chance,' Tarun said.

I loved how he is so calm and composed.

'Okay. I will try not to close myself and accept your friendship,' she said.

'So, what do you want to do today?' I asked.

'We can just stay at home and play some games on mobile,' he said.

'Ludo?' I asked excitedly.

'Yes. Let's play ludo,' he said.

'God! I missed playing ludo so much. During college, me and my best friend used to play it but now that he got a girlfriend and has no time for me. Someday, when I wish to play it, I play it with computer,' I told them.

'Actually, earlier I used to play it, but after I got in a relationship, my ex girlfriend thought it was very childish so I stopped playing it, and after we broke up, I forgot about it until now,' he said.

'Playing ludo is childish? She doesn't know the fun of sending someone to their home, while they are winning,' I said.

'Let's play. I had never played it in mobile. When I was young, we used to play it on board. We can wash the dishes later,' kavya said.

Kavya's POV

My mobile rang, as we were playing our tenth game of ludo.

'Tarun, you are not letting me go home,' I whined and looked at the mobile screen and my face fell.

'Is that handsome?' Princess asked while looking at my face.

'Yes,' I said and switched off my mobile and composed myself.

'What? Let's continue,' I said while they were staring at me.

While we continued playing, Tanisha's mobile rang.

'He is calling me? What should I say?' she asked.

'Does he know that I am here? How does he know?' I asked.

'Wait! Let me take the call and put it on speaker.'

'Princess, have you talked with Kavya today? She is not at school and not even at home,' he said without even greeting her. He sounded desperate.

'What should I say to him?' she mouthed but I was not able to say anything and she cut the call.

'He went at your house. What should I say?' she asked me.

'Tell him, I went to Pune to stay with my parents for few days," I told her to lie.

'Actually, I wanted to go there but they are not at home,' I told them how my family is not at home, so I decided to come here. Again her mobile started ringing and she picked it after few rings and kept it on speaker.

'Princess, the call got cut. Remember few days ago, I told you about Kavya's friend Tarun and his niece Sakshi, who is in Raj's class?,' he asked.

So, he has told her about Tarun.

'You know, I saw someone else came to pick Sakshi up. Do you think, she went to her hometown with Tarun? He also stays there, right?' he asked.

'What did you do?' she asked.

'Princess, I ruined everything. I can't tell you anything as it's a very private matter,' he said.

'You used to tell me everything about what happened between both of you. Now, you are keeping secrets from me?' she asked.

'It's a different matter. God! Her mobile rang at first and then it got switched off. What should I do?'

'Wait for few days. She will come back. I have not talked with her so I don't know anything,' she lied.

'Do you think she has gone with Tarun?' he asked, again.

'Yes,' Tanisha lied and I slapped her shoulders playfully.

'Why are you lying?' I mouthed.

'But, as much as I heard her family is hardly at home. If she went their unannounced and they are not there, she has to stay with Tarun,' she lied and me and Tarun looked at each other.

'What are you doing?' Tarun gestured with his hands.

'No! They can't stay together,' Kabir shouted.

'Handsome, calm down. I am just making an assumption.'

'What if they are staying together? Do you have Tarun's number? I will call him and ask,' he said and she looked at Tarun.

'Why are you getting so worked up? See, you don't love her, right? Then let her move on. As much as I know, they are friends, but it's okay, if something happens between them. He is a good guy,' I said and Tarun gave up on her.

'Do whatever you want,' Tarun mouthed and she started laughing silently.

'No. They can't be together. Maybe she has went for some work and will be back at night. I will again go to her house at night and see if she is there and till then, contact me, if she calls you,' Kabir said.

'Okay, I will contact you and don't worry. Maybe Tarun and Kavya are not together. Maybe Tarun is sick or busy at work, so he doesnt came to pick Sakshi up but even if they are together, I am happy that, finally, Kavya is moving on from you as you don't love her,' she said and Kabir was quiet for few seconds and then the call got cut.

'What were you doing?,' I asked.

'Why are you bringing me in the middle? That day only he wanted to kill me. Now, he will definately kill me,' Tarun said.

'He loves you too much that his blood boils even if you are with someone for few hours and Tanisha said that you are staying with me. I am gone now,' Tarun lied on the bed dramatically.

'Tarun, you are exaggerating. He doesn't love me,' I said and he got up.

'We will see that in some time,' Tanisha said.

'I just pray that he will not kill me,' Tarun said again.

'Don't worry. I will be your saviour,' Tanisha said.

'Wow! You only put me in trouble and now you are saying that you will save me? It's like throwing me in a lion's den and pulling me from the den when that lion is seconds away from attacking me,' he said.

'Handsome is a wounded lion. He will not do anything but, if he does, I will save you from his wrath,' Tanisha said while looking at Tarun.

'Guys! Kabir is not that bad,' I said, almost screamed and both of them looked at each other.

'Look, his lover again started defending him,' they said in unison and I started hitting them with pillows and the sound of their laughted surrounded the house making me happy.

I am glad that I decided to come here. I got to see different sides of Tarun and Tanisha after coming here.

I felt happy but, still, a part of me, a tiny part of me was thinking about Kabir and the way he sounded so desperate for me in that phone call.
