Dig In! A Review of "Bone Diggers" @ArtOverChaos

A review by Red_Harvey

Role-playing takes on a new meaning in Bone Diggers, the sci-fi novel from @ArtOverChaos.

The novel is actually a collaborative formed by writers Tiffany Rose and Alex Tauber, because, duh, two is better than one.

From Chapter 1, the cheeky writing hooks the reader into an avatar-filled reality, with echoes of present day tech following close behind. Main character Owen is a profiteer, or simply intent on exposing others in a seriously messed up virtual world. Hints of several video and strategy games leave their impressions throughout the story, and yet, Rose and Tauber build a completely new scene interspersed with realism. Bone diggers are "players who dig deeper past the pixels until they find the bones behind the controls", and Owen uses his gaming sword to reveal some interesting truths.

The book is posted in its entirety, so yay for no cliffhangers! What's even better is that the duo-authors promise to post alternate and deleted scenes (or as they call them, DLC chapters) every first Friday for continued fun!

Bone Diggers is a book full of diverse characters, fantastical situations, and social relevancy. If you're looking to add a new sci-fi read, you only have to hit "Add", and you'll enter a virtual reality Philip K Dick would bug out over.
