Pokémon.

So, I made a rival and a backstory for them for a random region:

Their your friend you've known since you were a kid, but you had to get them out of their comfort zone. They looked up to you a bit, but were stuck in their books and drawling most of the time. The reason their going on a journey is so they wouldn't be abandoned and so you would have someone to fight agenst.

While their quiet and look like they couldn't do much, they're actually good at strategizing, but stick to the same Pokémon and don't swap team members out often.

Their team is usually weaker or forgotten Pokémon that they use and train to make stronger and show their potential. Under their training and care they also evolve, many of wich never had an evolution until in their care.

Whenever they loose a battle they can't help but blame themself, but their Pokémon try to cheer them up.

They had a Pokémon for years already, a smeargle that their older sister gave to them as a birthday present.

Their sister was your brother's rival and is currently popular in contests and is starring in some movies and tv shows. She is  protective of you rival and try to keep them out of the spotlight to not overwhelm them.

Then I attempted making Pokémon:

Those are the first fakemon's I made. The first one being Storm (name from Snow, Snake and Worm) the middle one Glatle (from Rattle and Glacier) then the last one is Magra (from magic and Cobra)
