A bit about her: Irene was born in Daegu, South Korea to a Korean born mother and a Korean American father. She was their only child. They lived in Daegu for 9 years. When she was 9 years old, her parents moved to San Jose, California, USA, close to where her dad had grown up. At this point, she wasn't very good at English yet. However, she was able to pick it up through speaking English at home with her dad (and eventually her mom *her mom also had to learn English*) and taking ESL classes at school. At the age of 13, she began taking a strong interest in makeup, and loved to try out new looks in her spare time. She rose to fame in early 2019, after an "evolution of Kpop makeup" TikTok she did went viral.
