Arsonist
It was in my New Year's Resolution to try writing things... differently, so here goes. Warning: There may be spoilers.
The flint and steel clicked quietly in Sunflower's talon. The GrassWing crouched by the trees supporting the hatchery. Fire wasn't allowed in the rain forest. This was why the fires would attract all the dragons. Sunflower dug one of her talons into the wood of one of the trees. Splinters broke off in her claws. She carefully climbed higher, using her back talons and one of the front ones. She reached a branch that was close enough to the hatchery, and took the chunk of flint in her left talon. She scraped the knife briskly against the rock. Sparks flew out and landed on some moss. The moss quickly caught fire, and didn't smoke very heavily. Sunflower sat back and watched the fire spread to the leaves of the hatchery before leaping off the tree. She glanced back one more time as the shriek one of the dragonets echoed through the forests. Black and multicolored wings cut through the sky as the dragons came to the aid of their young. Sunflower paused, mildly confused about their concern, before racing off on quiet talons. No one saw the flicker of a pale green and gold tail flicker off into the shadows.
Oof, I don't know if I liked writing that. That was dark. At least no one died.
