"Does anyone know the answer? Natsu, perhaps your so knowledgeable about the subject that you can sleep in my class? Natsu, what is the answer?" The teacher glared at Natsu, who had just snapped up from taking a nap mid-class.
Gray Fullbuster, his rival, smirked. He knew the answer and he knew that Natsu didn't know.
Natsu stared at the equation on the board for a good solid minute, "I don't know."
"Maybe instead of napping, you should pay attention." The teacher pressed her lips together, "Now, who knows the answer? Go ahead, Gray."
"42 to the power of 9." Gray sat up a little straighter in his chair.
Natsu mumbled under his breath.
"Correct." The teacher smiled.
"Math isn't my forte." Natsu groaned to his friend Lucy, who was decent at math.
"I know that, Natsu. You suck at Math and English." Lucy sighed, "At least your good at History."
"Science too! You're not in my science class." Natsu grinned, "I had stayed up most of the night finishing my project, Gajeel hasn't done any of it! He's supposed to help me."
"Rest in peace, Natsu. Rest in peace." Lucy laughed.
Gajeel Redfox, never did any part of any project unless his partner was Levy.
"Lucy, you're an English major, can you help me? I don't understand Macbeth." Natsu pleaded.
"It's not that hard to figure out. Lady Macbeth is using her husband Macbeth to slaughter people so he can gain more power. At least in the first three acts, it appears that way. I haven't finished it," Lucy shrugged.
"Allllright." Natsu scribbled that on his arm in pen.
"Natsu," Lucy said accusingly.
"Ehue." Natsu grinned at her, "C'mon Lu."
"Actually read the dam play, Natsu." Lucy nudged him a little violently.
"I don't want to-" Natsu groaned.
"Gray did," Lucy smirked knowing fully well what she was doing.
Natsu mumbled under his breath.
"Fine." Natsu glared, "I'll read it better than him."
"Good luck with that." Lucy smiled right ad the bell rang, "Bye! Have fun beating Gray in Physics!"
Natsu waved bye to her, as he grabbed his backpack and made his way to his science room.
Natsu and Gray sat next to each other in science, front and center.
Natsu answered the questions correctly while Gray stayed quiet.
Later that night, in the dorms, Natsu had his face in the math book, confused.
Natsu had already read the first four scenes of Macbeth with a loose understanding.
"Ugh, Sting, I hate math," Natsu complained to his dorm mate Sting.
Stings boyfriend, Rouge, was over a lot, but this night was not one.
"You could ask for help," Sting suggested.
Natsu made a noise of acknowledgment.
Ten minutes later, Natsu sighed, "Fine."
Natsu decided to suck up his pride and ask Gray for help, he was one of the few students Natsu actually knew in his math class. Plus, Gray was one of the best at math.
Natsu closed the for to his dorm behind him and realized something.
He didn't know Gray's dorm room.
Natsu pulled out his phone and texted Erza, a friend between the both of them.
To: Scary Redhead
From: Natsu
Hey, do you know Gray's dorm room?

Natsu grumbled and put his phone away, looking for dorm 394.
Natsu found the room number fairly quickly.
Natsu knocked, suddenly feeling self-conscious.
He hadn't thought about things like, what if he said no, what if he wasn't there, what if he laughed at him?
"Natsu?" Gray didn't expect to see Natsu at his door.
"Um Hi. I wanted to ask you for...help." Natsu didn't look him in the eye.
Gray saw an opportunity, "One condition; If I help you, you help me."
Natsu looked up and smiled. "Okay!"
Gray nodded, "Tomorrow, after school!"
