Hi there,

Thanks for taking a look at my book. I'm back with my second Wattpad story so I'm older and wiser now - and much less nervous! (Who am I kidding? It's a Tuesday and I've drunk a bottle of wine in preparation for hitting 'publish'). Having said that, there are a number of things on my mind:

1. This is one of many stories I've written while I'm supposed to be writing my Actual Story. It seems as though my approach to procrastination is to write other stories instead. Does anyone else have this problem?

2. I was experimenting with a couple of different ways of storytelling in this book. I'm not sure if they will all work or if sometimes it will be frustrating to read. I'm a bit more relaxed about publishing my stuff now that I've done it once so thought I'd give it a go and if you hate it, well, it's too late because I've finished it already!

3. The first half and the second half of this story are quite different, but I think I'm going to post it as one story for now. Just be prepared for a gear change in Part 2 when the story moves from the English countryside to Amsterdam.

4. I really struggle with endings, and this story sat unfinished for many years. I just can't bring myself to wrap everything up neatly. I like my characters to go on a journey and finish up in a very different place to where they started, but that place may not always be exactly where they wanted to be, it's just where they are supposed to be given the journey they've been on.

5. There were many songs that fit this story so I've included one at the start of each chapter. The chapter titles contain a lyric from that song. They are all (sometimes very loosely) rock songs. 6. Finally, this story is dedicated to all the people who have been so supportive of my last book. You have been truly awesome and given me the courage to post another one. I really don't know if you'll like this one as much, but I had to write it.
