An Outing
~Knockout's POV~
"Knockout, I swear if you drop me!"
I simply chuckled, making sure that my servo cupped around (Y/N)'s sweater covered form perfectly. She had no reason to be afraid, which she wasn't, she was just giving me hell.
"KNOCKOUT YOU'RE GOING TO RUN INTO A-"
FWACK!
"Tree."
All I could do was clench my side as I grimaced. Why do trees hurt so much when they do so little?!
"Let me take a look."
"I'm fine, that one must have been held down by another tree to be able to create this much damage though!"
"YOU ARE NOT FINE! You just said you're fine instead of whining about your finish!"
That much was true.
"Put me down and let me take a look!"
I reluctantly did so, sitting down afterward so (Y/N) could get a closer look. She climbed up my leg and soon reached my right side. She poked and prodded, getting slight 'tsks' and not so friendly remarks from me.
"That tree must have been awfully flexible to be able to make an incision like this! You're lucky it didn't hit any of your vitals!"
"That would have been problematic, look it'll be fine! Leave it alone!"
I was irritable, mainly because I wanted tonight to be special, but what's the use now if (Y/N)'s just going to worry about me to no end? I started getting back up, but after sitting down, my wound decided that I was going to stay.
"Hang on, I'll comm Soundwave, tell him we've run into some technical difficulties. DON'T GIVE ME THAT LOOK! I'm not going to tell him you were impaled by a tree!"
I just watched as she brought out her data pad, angry at myself, at the world, and that darn tree! I've been trying for 5 days now, 5 DAYS! And every single time I try I fail because of some "technical difficulty". I've tried 4 different places, a beach, a plain, a cliff (bad idea) and now a forest. Each failed.
"Soundwave's going to send a groundbridge, but it might take awhile, he was called on a mission, so we'll have to wait."
"And how on this Earth of yours are we going to keep me from bleeding out in the meantime?"
"You're not going to-" The oozing of energon had increased since she had last looked, and I was starting to feel lightheaded and dizzy, "Hold on!"
I didn't know what her plan was, but the look on her face showed that she was improvising.
The next thing I knew she had her hoodie off, showing herself to be wearing nothing but a sports bra underneath, it took a lot not to just stare. She soon had the wound covered and stopped the secretion before I passed out.
"Whoever invented sweaters was a genius. Of course not as much of a genius as you when it comes to this ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL date you came up with."
I just rolled my optics- wait did she say 'date'?!
"Yeah, I see that expression, and it's been obvious since the second try."
That obvious?
"How about I pick the next location? One that will most likely NOT get you injured."
I nodded my head, wincing at the pain in my side, it had dulled, but it was still there.
~Your POV~
I winced along side of Knockout. Not because I felt pain, but because I hated seeing him in pain. Any kind of pain really, even just the stress of every mishap and set-back he always seemed to encounter when trying to create a romantic vibe. He tried a beach, but it was on a racing day where tons of cars and people came from around the world to race, and he didn't want to go to another beach, that would ruin the mood of that "first look" of a beautiful sunset. The next was a plain full of yellow and purple flowers, but that was an overly windy day, and we couldn't even hear each other. Later he tried a a cliff, which would have been absolutely beautiful, except for the miscalculation of where the cliff was.
"What's the plan for now?" I asked.
"Why are you asking me?" He was irritated.
"Because your opinion matters, that and we need to move, a certain orange Medic seems to be nearby."
"Impossible! No Autobot activity was shown when we got here!"
I just rolled my eyes. Knockout had obviously forgotten that they can track our movements as well as we can them. Why the Medic was coming, instead of someone else, I have no clue. I looked at my touch screen, a smaller version of a data pad made by Knockout. The stupid thing has as much clearence as Soundwave over the entire system. Secret files, not-so-secret files, top secret files... a music file? Didn't see that before. I can also access the ship security cameras... is he... Oh my gosh, Steve is playing Galaga again! I'll talk to him later about that.
"Which way is the Autobot coming from?" Knockout asked, making me remember my previous reason to bring out the data pad.
"Looks like he's coming from the south, there's an open field before he gets to our current location..."
A communications link opened on the phone like object. I clicked it, it was the medic.
||: I noticed you were in need of some assistance. :||
I could see the smirk on his faceplate.
"What's it to you BOT?"
He apparently was not expecting a female voice to answer, for he was silent for a long time, until:
||: I'm sorry, I thought it was Knockout who was in need of assistance. :||
"He is, I'm his charge you crackbot! Now, what do you want in return?"
It was obvious from the start he wanted something in return.
||: Uuuuuh, well... :||
"If you can't give a snappy answer then I'm afraid we will not be needing your assistance."
I was about to hang up when he started stammering for me to wait.
||: I'm only a few minutes out, give me your name when I get there, that is all I want. :||
He ended the conversation.
"You gonna give him your name?"
"Well, it's the only thing he asked for, so why not?"
He growled, I knew telling an Autobot my name would get his energon boiling. All I could was sigh, and wait for the Autobot medic.
When he finally arrived, his attention went straight to me.
"Take picture, it'll last longer."
I waved the data pad around, irritated with the fact that I was such an oddity.
"Now, if you'll please take a look at Knockout? I did my best to stop the flow, but it's not working very well anymore, as you can see."
The secretion had worsened, but the now soiled hoodie was at least blocking most of the flow.
"Yes I can see that, but I require the information promised to me."
Wow, this guy's tough! "Yes well, after he's fixed up."
"I'm not letting HIM come anywhere near me."
"It's either that or bleed out in the woods you cherry, now be a good Con and lay down."
I could tell my dominance surprised the Autobot as Knockout did so, exposing his wound. What kind of tree can do that much damage to a Cybertronian?! I thanked him, then looked to the enemy medic.
"Well? You at least gonna look at the guy?!"
"Not until I get the information promised."
I glared at him, my eyes burning a whole into his spark chamber. He flinched.
"I'll tell you when Knockout is no longer bleeding!"
My plan worked, and the now slightly wary bot did his best to patch up the wound. I silently hoped that Soundwave would show up right then and there as my Devil Car's wound was patched and now no longer a problem, but he didn't, and I was stuck having to tell the mech my name.
"Thank you, for your assistance, you are no longer needed."
"Your name young human."
"Right, right, Knockout you good to go?"
He nodded.
"Your name."
"Give me a sec! I'm checking your work!"
"You don't trust my expertise?!" He said, obviously offended.
"No, I don't trust you."
I checked for tracking devices, or anything that would lead to him falling ill or hurt even worse. I didn't find anything, and as if on cue, a groundbridge came up, ours.
"Don't you go just yet, you haven't told me your name!" Now he was ticked.
"I won't give you my name-name, but I'll give a name I go by: Knockout."
With that the two of us left, leaving a bewildered Autobot behind us.
"What was his name again?"
"Ratchet," Knockout replied.
"Huh, he on your hit list?"
"Oh, I want to do much more than just HIT him."
I simply nodded, walking alongside my Con. I think it's official. We know we love each other, but we haven't exactly admitted it... Does that count? Well, I guess I'll find out when I figure what we'll do for our fifth-first date.
"Oh, can you continue without me? I need to talk to Steve about something."
"Yes, but do me a favor?"
"What?" I looked up, seeing him refusing to even look at me. Not even a glance. This irritated me to no ends. What did I do?
"Could you go put a shirt on? You're in nothing but pants and an undergarment! It's rather... revealing."
All I could do was laugh as I followed Knockout to our berthroom, my clothes a mess form trying to find my sweater, now ruined and never going to be worn again.
(Heya guys! Another chapter, another step closer to Dun Dun DUUUUN True love! In the mean time, love ya'll!)
