TW: Blood/Injuries

You grabbed the radio from your bag and turned it on. "Dustin are you there?" You waited a few seconds, waiting for a response. "Yeah! Where the hell have you been? Steve almost got killed by Dart and his Demodog friends cus you were off being gross with Billy!" "Demodog? Is Steve okay what happened?" "Steve's fine, they're dog versions of Demogorgons so I named them Demodogs. We're at Will's house, hurry up and get your ass down here!" You sighed heavily and cursed under your breath. "Is Lucas and Max with you." "Yeah, why?" "I'll meet you at the house" You turned off the radio. "What the fuck is a Demodog and a Demogorgon? Why are we going to the Byers' house?" Billy asked, looking both pissed off and confused. "It's a long story and you won't believe any of it" "stop being so fucking mysterious and spit it out already."

Reluctantly, you explained everything about last year's events including the Upside Down and the Demogorgon. He slowed down and looked at you before nodding. "Yeah, okay...I mean it sounds like something out of a shitty horror story or some shit, but I believe you." You looked at him astonished. "Really, you do?" Billy snickered at your expression before speeding up and focused on the road. "I don't see why you'd lie about something that insane and if we're going to the Byers' house with all this crazy shit then by the end of the night, I'll know one way or another."

Billy pulled up to the Byers' house, and just as we exited the car, Steve Harrington walked out to meet us. "Am I dreaming or is that you Harrington?" Billy joked, Steve rolled his eyes and answered "yeah it's me don't cream your pants." Billy gook off his leather jacket and threw it on the driver's seat before slamming the door shut. "Looking for my stepsister, a little birdie named Dustin told us she was here." You sighed quietly and leaned against Billy's car, still holding Billy's bat as they started bickering about whether Max was here or not even though you and Billy could clearly see them peeking through the window. "You know, I don't know this...this whole situation Harrington I don't know. It's giving me the heebie-jeebies. My thirteen-year-old sister goes missing all day and then I get told she's in a stranger's house, I come to bring her home and you lie to me about it." Steve just chuckled and looked away from Billy to avoid being caught in the lie. Before either of you could say anything, a loud chirping noise came from the trees, you stood up properly and gripped the bat tightly. "Billy, just go home. She's not here okay" Steve was panicking slightly as he knew what was making that noise and so tried to convince Billy to leave. Billy scoffed and pointed to the window with his cigarette. "Then who is that?"

Time seemed to slow down as something leapt out from behind the trees and went to attack Billy. You swung the bat against the monster's head and it fell to the ground before getting back on all fours. Its head opened up like a Demogorgon and it screeched at the three of you. "Get inside now!" "What the fuck is that thing?!" Billy shouted as Steve dragged him inside, the Demodog was joined by two others and all three sprinted towards you luckily you had slammed the door shut before they got inside but it didn't stop them from getting in through the window. Steve threw Billy an axe before grabbing his nail bat, dashing in front of the kids. The three Demodogs screeched before pouncing, you all from a fourth that came in through the back window. Billy got a clean shot at the head, killing one instantly. Your bat knocked another dog against the wall and Billy finished it off, Steve had managed to finish off his dog too.

"Lucas watch out!" Max was screaming, a fourth Demodog had come from the kitchen and was about to jump on Lucas but it met Billy's axe first. With the house trashed and four deadly monster dogs on the floor, Billy was convinced of your story in the car. "Off your ass and on your feet Sinclair" Billy grunted, holding out his hand for the younger boy. Lucas nodded and took his hand before being pulled up. "...Thanks for saving me" Billy just shrugged before looking at you. "Guess now I know for sure...You're hurt" he walked over to you and gently grabbed your arm. One of the Demodog's claws had scratched through your sleeve and cut your arm. You hissed quietly as Billy grabbed your arm. "Yeah, I didn't even notice" you chuckled quietly. "Any first aid shit here dipshits?" Mike walked off into the kitchen and came back with a first aid kit. "Thanks, Wheeler" he muttered before looking at Max. "Call home, tell Susan that you're here for a sleepover or whatever. Tell her I'm staying and I'll bring you first thing tomorrow morning." Max nodded with a small smile which only made Billy scoff.

"This might hurt a bit..." Billy muttered before placing a clean cloth on your cut and pressed down on it, you winced slightly and Billy's expression softened. "Sorry for getting you involved in this mess...You'll have to sign these bullshit documents from the government. Susan and Neil can't know about any of it, they probably wouldn't believe it but your dad would be a dick about it" Billy chuckled quietly and grinned. "I don't know if you've noticed but he's a dick about everything" he took the cloth away and started cleaning away the blood before bandaging it up. "It'll do for now but you should get a doctor to look at it tomorrow, probably needs stitches." You nodded as he talked, the way he patched you up was good as though he'd done it before. You didn't want to know why although you already knew the reason, you just didn't want to confirm it.

Dustin looked over at you and then Billy, he looked nervous but came over anyway. "So to catch you up, El's back. She and Hopper have gone back to the lab. Mrs Byers is with Nancy and Jonathan. There's this other thing but for now, it's stuck in the Upside Down, the Mindflayer. That episode on the school field? That's when we think the  Mindflayer got him. It's been using him to kill all the soldiers and scientists at the lab. We thought it was just Dart but there are hundreds of them, most of them are at the lab but there's probably more on the way here. Demodogs, Demogorgon and the Mindflayer all share a hive mind. Those three took Will to Hopper's place to try and get it out of Will" he explained to the both of you. Billy nodded once as he was finishing bandaging up your arm. "So that means, the Mindflayer and all of the Demodogs know we're here right? What about El and Will?" "When Will wakes up then yeah they'll know where he is but they won't know El is going to close the gate until she and Hopper get to the lab."

Steve and the other kids were huddled over a map, talking about tunnels or something like that. "And you idiots think this will work without anyone dying huh? We're not doing this ok? This...This is not happening!" The kids shared annoyed glances before glaring at Steve. "I can't believe I'm fucking saying this but I'm with Harrington. We're already going to be in deep shit tomorrow, if we go home looking like shit our asses are fucking grass okay Max? We're staying here, get over it shitbirds" Billy told the kids before lighting another cigarette but you didn't agree with the boys. "These Demodog fuckers already know where we are, Dustin said they have a hive mind right?" The curly-haired boy nodded "well then. If we stay here, they'll just keep coming and if not then they're all gonna go for El and Hop. If El uses all her power up killing those things, she can't close the gate. Gun or not, Hop won't be able to keep them all away and we won't be able to save Will. And these morons are gonna do something whether they have your permission or not, if we don't go with them they'll all die." Steve groaned and messed up his hair out of frustration, Billy glared at the kids and huffed but nodded. You smiled and looked at Mike. "What's the plan?"
