Mike sits in his basement staring at the door waiting for anyone to show up, including Five. Five was the reason they knew Will was alive, but he kept them away to keep them safe. But even so he was still angry as he sat up from the couch and walked over to the makeshift tent and kicked it, destroying it with all his 12 year old might that he could. He stares at the mess he's made.

(Ives)

A knock on the door is heard as Becky opens the door to see Dustin.

Dustin: Hey Ms. Ives is Jane awake?

Terry: Yeah she's just finished washing up. Come inside.

Dustin: Well this is a time consuming thing that...

Terry: Could risk you all from finding Will?

Dustin was agasp at what was said. They were sworn to secrecy.

Terry: Look I don't know if all this is real or apart of the campaign but whatever it is its serious to her.

Dustin walks inside quickly.

Dustin: She told you?

Terry: She told me and Becky. She was upset, she was rambling and it slipped out. Look, I know that Will is important to you guys but this is too much for you guys.

Dustin: I'm still stuck on the fact She told you.

Jane with 'excellent' timing walks in the room and spots Dustin.

Dustin: You told her?!

Jane: It slipped out Dustin, besides what can we do?

Dustin: We had a plan.

Jane: And look where it got us. Five led us away, Mike and Lucas fought and we don't know where he is at all.

Dustin: That's why I'm gonna talk to Mike, bring him to Lucas and hatch a plan to find Five and make sure we can find Will.

Terry: And what happens if you find this Demogorgon?

Dustin: That's why we find Five.

Jane: You do realize that you guys are going overboard with his powers, what happens when he passes out like he did with the Heathkit?

Dustin: Well what do you want us to do Eleven. Time is closing in on us.

Jane: Let's just go with your plan.

Dustin: Good.

The two members of the party were going to leave but was stopped by Terry.

Terry: And you think I'd let you go out there alone with that thing out there.

Jane: Mom I know but this is our only chance to find Will.

Terry: You never let me finish *Terry extends her hand out* your walkie.

Jane skeptically hands it over.

Terry: As soon as something happens you call me and aunt Becky, doesn't matter, we will call the calvary if we have to understand.

Jane: Yes ma'am.

Terry: From both of you.

Dustin & Jane: Yes ma'am.

Terry. If anything go to Joyce, I feel she knows more than we think.

The kids nod and leave the house, not without Dustin asking the same question again.

Dustin: We were told to not to tell adult.

Eleven: For the last time Dustin I know but what else should I do, we're literally running into this thing blind.

The kids mount their bikes.

Dustin: What do you expect Eleven? This whole thing has blown out way into proportion. We are literally It without a killer clown.

(Mike's basement)

Mike: I just... I can't believe he didn't come back.

DUSTIN: He's gotta be close.

Mike: He said it wasn't safe. He just messed up the compasses because he wanted to protect us.

Dustin: He didn't betray us.

Eleven: Mike, calm down.

Mike: I shouldn't have yelled at him. I never should've done that.

Dustin: Mike, this isn't your fault.

Mike: Yeah, it's Lucas'.

Dustin: It wasn't his fault, either.

Mike: It wasn't his fault?

Dustin: No.

Mike: So you're saying he wasn't way out of line?

Distin: Totally, but so were you!

Mike: What?

Dustin: So was Eleven.

Eleven: I at least admit to that.

Dustin: And Five.

Mike: Oh, give me a break!

Dustin: No, Mike, you give me a break! All four of you were being a bunch of little assholes! I was the only reasonable one. But the bottom line is... you pushed first.

Eleven: And you know the rule. You draw first blood...

Mike: No! No way! I'm not shaking his hand.

Dustin: You're shaking his hand!

Mike: No, I'm not.

Dustin: This isn't a discussion. This is the rule of law. Obey or be banished from the party. Do you wanna be banished?

Mike: No.

Dustin: Good.

Dustin soon grabs Mike's things and hand it to him.

Mike: Where are we going?

Dustin: Where do you think? We're going to get Lucas.
And then we're gonna find Five.
[DOOR OPENS]

The 3 party members arrive at the Sinclair household as Dustin rings the doorbell.
[DOORBELL RINGS]

Lucas: What do you want?

Mike doesn't answer until Dustin nudges him.

Mike: *SIGHS* I drew first blood, so...

Lucas invites them inside and paces back and forth.

Lucas: Okay, I'll shake. On one condition. We forget the weirdo and go straight to the gate.

Mike: Then the deal's off.

Lucas: Fine!

Mike: Fine!

Dustin: No, no, not fine!
Guys, seriously?bDo you even remember what happened on the Bloodstone Pass?

The boys shrug.

Eleven: We couldn't agree on what path to take, so we split up the party
and those trolls took us out one by one.

Dustin: And it all went to shit. And we were all disabled! So we stick together, no matter what!

Lucas: Yeah, I agree. But this is the party, right here in this room.

Mike: Five is one of us now.

Lucas: Um, no, she's not. Not even close! Never will be. He's a liar, a traitor-

Eleven: He was just trying to keep us safe! He didn't mean to hurt you. It was an accident!

Lucas: An accident?

Dustin: All right, accident or not... admit it, it was a little awesome.

Lucas: Awesome?

Dustin: Yeah, he threw you in the air with his mind!

Lucas: I could have been killed!

Eleven: Which is exactly why we need him. He's a weapon!
Do you seriously wanna fight the Demogorgon with your wrist rocket?

Dustin: That's like R2-D2 going to fight Darth Vader.

Mike: We're no use to Will if we're dead.

Lucas: If you two wanna waste your time looking for a traitor, go ahead, 'cause I'm not spending my time on him anymore. No way! I'm going to the gate. I'm gonna find Will.

Lucas pushes past the trio and runs upstairs.

Mike: Then we'll look for him on our own.

Five is now seen waking up in the woods. He walks over to the water stares at his reflection. Angrily he screams and sends the water flying. He gets up from his area and walks into the city into the a grocery store.

As he walks by adult are looking at him triggering another flashback.

Brenner: It's okay, Five.
Don't be frightened. These are all friends.They're just here to watch. Don't focus on them. Stay in here, like before.

Five: Yes, Papa.

Brenner: Now, remember. Whatever it is, it can't hurt you. Not from here. So there's nothing to be frightened of. It's reaching out to you...'cause it wants you.

Five: Hmm?

Brenner: It's calling you...
so don't turn away from it this time. I want you to find it. Understand?

Five: Yes.

Man: Are you lost? Is your mom here? Your dad?

Five: Mouth breather.

Lady: What should we do?

Man: Uh...Call the police.

Five makes a beeline straight for the frozen department and grabs a handful of eggo boxes. He's leaving the store.

Man: Excuse me. Young man! You know you have to pay for those! Hey, hey! Stop right-

Five uses his powers and blocks the man so he can take his leave.

Man: You have to pay for those! Stop right there! Thief! Thief!

Once outside Five closes the door fast as the man runs into the door breaking the glass.

(With Hopper and Joyce)

They finally reach their destination and knock on a door. The door opens and an older woman opens the door.

Woman Can I help you?

Joyce: Hi, we're looking for M/N L/N. Does she live here?

Woman: Who's asking?

Hopper: *shows his badge* The Hawkins chief of police.

Woman: And you want to talk to my daughter?

Hopper: Well, if your daughter M/N L/N, then, yeah, we do.

GM/N: Okay, well, you can come in, but if you want M/N to tell you anything,
you're about five years too late.

The lady bring Hopper and Joyce to the living room where they can hear the TV playing indistinctly.

GM/N: M/N, you have some visitors.

M/N is sitting in a lounge chair staring blankly at the TV.

Joyce: Hello. My name's Joyce Byers. Uh, this is Hopper. We drove over from Hawkins. Um, you see, uh, my son...he's been missing for almost a week now, and, um, we were wondering if we could talk to you about your, son, Y/N? If there's anything that you could tell us about when he was taken...

Hopper: What was your relationship with Dr. Brenner? You guys keep in touch?

Joyce: *holds up a picture of Will* This is, uh... this is him.
[STAMMERING] This is Will.
Uh, you may have seen him on... on the news.

Hopper: Uh...

Joyce; What's wrong with her?

GM/N: I told you, you're wasting your time.

The party is now riding their bikes through the city.

DUSTIN: This is weird without Lucas.

Mike: He should've shaken my hand.

Dustin: He's just jealous.

Mike: What are you talking about?

Dustin: Sometimes, your total obliviousness just blows my mind. He's your best friend, right?

Mike: Yeah... I mean, I don't know.

Dustin: It's fine. I get it. I didn't get here until the fourth grade. He had the advantage of living next door. But none of that matters. What matters is that he is your best friend.

Eleven: And then this kid shows up and starts living in your basement, and all you ever want to do is pay attention to him.

Mike: That's not true. Beside you paid more attention to him than I did.

Eleven: Again I admit to that.

Dustin: Yes, it is. And you know it. And he knows it. But no one ever says anything
until you both start punching and yelling at each other
like goblins with intelligence scores of zero.

Eleven: Now everything's weird.

Mike: He's not my best friend.

Dustin: Yeah, right.

Mike: I mean, he is, but so are you and Eleven. And so is Will.

Dustin: Can't have more than one best friend.

Mike: Says who?

Eleven: Says logic.

Mike: Well, I call bull on your logic, because you're both my best friend, too.

Dustin: Okay.
[PANTING]

Eleven who is taking lead looks down the road and sees commotion outside the store and police there too.

Eleven: Whoa.

DUSTIN: You don't think...

Mike: Uh... definitely.

The party rides pass the store and searches for Five.

(Hopper and Joyce)

Host: [ON TV] Are you ready?

GM/N: She was a part of some study in college.

Hopper: MK Ultra?

GM/N: Yeah, that's the one. Was, uh, started in the '50s.
By the time M/N got involved,
it was supposed to be ramping down, but the drugs just got crazier. Messed her up good.

Hopper: This was the CIA that ran this?
You and Terry would've gotten along. "The Man," with a big capital "M." They'd pay... you know, a couple hundred bucks to people like my sister, give 'em drugs, psychedelics. LSD, mostly.
And then they'd strip her naked and put her in these isolation tanks

Joyce:Isolation tanks?

BECKY: Yeah. These big bathtubs, basically, filled with salt water, so you can float around in there. You lose any sense of, uh...
sense and feel nothing, see nothing. They wanted to expand the boundaries of the mind. Real hippie crap. I... I mean, it's not like they were forcing her to do any of this stuff. The thing is, though, is that she didn't know she was pregnant at the time.
Y/N.

Joyce: You have any pictures of him?

GM/N: I don't think you guys understand. M/N miscarried in the third trimester. She keeps all of this up. Been doing it for 12 years. M/N, uh, pretends like F/N is real, like he's gonna come home someday.

GM/N then starts playing lullaby from a mobile.

GM/N: Says she's special. Born with "abilities."

Hopper: Abilities?

GM/N: You read any Stephen King? You guys look scared, actually. I mean, it's all make-believe.

Joyce: What... what kind of abilities? Telepathy, telekinesis...you know, shit you can do with your mind.
That's why the big, bad Man stole Y/N away. Her baby's a weapon, off fighting the commies. You know, the doctors all say it's a coping mechanism. You know, to deal with the guilt.

Joyce: Do you think there is any chance she could be telling the truth? About having had the kid.

GM/N: There is no birth certificate, nothing from the hospital. Doctors and nurses all confirm that she miscarried. Yeah, but that could've been covered up. Right? Like I said, you and M/N would've gotten along.

Hopper: Well, thank you for your time. We appreciate it.

GM/N: Hmm, yeah, I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help. Good luck.

Hopper: Thank you.

Joyce and Hopper leave the house and get back into Joyce's car. Joyce was uneasy.

Hopper: Hey...

Joyce: What?

Hopper: We're gonna find him.

Joyce: Yeah, like Terry found her daughter?

Hopper: We're close.

Joyce: Twelve years? Twelve years she's been looking for him.

Hopper: And then he shows up at Benny's five nights ago,
which means we've got a chance.You know what I would give? For a chance? You know what I would give?

CALLAHAN: [OVER RADIO] Hey, Chief, you there? Hey, Chief?

Hopper: Yeah, go ahead.

Callahan: Yeah, a fight broke out here and

Hopper: Cal, I don't have time for this. It's Jonathan Byers. Uh, you haven't seen Joyce, have you?

The party I now in the woods again Looking for Five.

DUSTIN: Five!

MIKE: Five!

Eleven: Five

A twig snaps.

Mike: Hey, stop. Do you hear that?

Dustin: What?

Eleven: Five?

From behind the tree Tony and James appeared to follow them into the woods.

Tony: Hey, there, Frogface.
Toothless.

Dustin: Shit! Run, Mike!

Mike: What?

Eleven: Run! Come on!

TROY: You're dead, Ives.

Dustin: Move, Mike! Mike, come on, run!

The trio runs away from the bullies from the woods to the quarry almost hoping they catch a break.

Dustin: Cramp! Just keep going!

Mike: Keep going!

They turn the corner to see James has ran around other side to trap them.

Eleven: Shit!

Mike Stay back! Don't come any closer!

Mike picks up a rock and throws it at James, missing completely.

James: Nice throw, numbnuts.

Dustin in his attempt to not be scared charges Troy who spins him and holds a switch blade at his neck.

James grabs a hold of Mike's arm as Eleven is stuck looking at both the bullies holding her friends.

Dustin: Get off! Get off me!
Let him go! Let him go!

Troy: Stay back, or I cut him!

Eleven: What do you want?

Troy: I want to know how you did it!

Eleven: How I did what?

Troy: I know you did something to me. Some nerdy science shit to make me do that.

Eleven: You mean piss your pants?

Dustin: Our friend has superpowers, and he squeezed your tiny bladder with his mind.

Mike: Dustin shut up!

Troy: I think I should save Toothless here a trip to the dentist. Help him lose the rest of his baby teeth.

Eleven: Let him go. Let him go!

Troy: I'll let him go, sure. But first... it's your turn.

Eleven: My turn for what?

Troy: Wet yourself.

Eleven: What?

Troy: Jump...*holds the blade near Dustin's face* or Toothless here gets an early trip to the dentist.

Dustin: Stop! No!

Troy: I'll cut him right now!

Eleven: All right, just hold on! Hold on!

Eleven walks to the edge of the rocks staring down at the water. She judging the jump. If she jumps she'll most likely die if she doesn't, Troy will cut Dustin and she doesn't want that to happen.

Dustin: Eleven, don't do it. I don't need my baby teeth, Eleven!

Mike: El, seriously, don't!

Dustun: El, don't do it!
Seriously, don't do it, man! Seriously, don't.

James looks at Troy uneasy, all he knew was that they'd beat the kids up.

James: Troy, I don't think this is a good idea, man.

Troy: Shut up!

Dustin: Jane, don't!

Troy: Dentist's office opens in five...Four! Three! Two!

Dustin & Mike: Jane!

TROY: One!

Jane screams as she jumps.

The boys including Troy and James run to the edge of the quarry in shock to see....

Dustin: Holy shit.

Eleven is floating in the air flailing her arms around. She is suddenly flying back up.

Eleven: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!

She is lifted back over behind the boys frozen in shock as she is dropped on the ground, Eleven is shock too turns to see Five glaring at James and Troy, blood dropping down hid nose. He's stomping to over to the boy glaring at them. Troy and James start to walk over but Five walks over and pushes James using his powers and breaks Troy's arm.

Troy: He broke my arm! My arm!

Eleven gets up and punches Troy square in the face.

Five: Go.

Troy: Let's get out of here! Let's go!

JAMES: Go!

Dustin chaes after but stops and yells..

Dustin: Yeah, that's right! You better run! He's our fll friend and he's crazy! You come back here and he'll kill you! You hear me? He'll kill you, you sons of bitches. He'll kill you, you hear me?

As Dustin yells atvthe bullies Five drops down and passed out. Eleven is the first to notice as she runs over to Five.

He's back inside the void. But this time he's tracked down the Demogorgon who looks to be eating. Five creeps on the monster who's eating. He slowly walks over hand extended to touch it. Once he does the Demogorgon roars at him scaring Five knocking him out of the void. He's back at the tank and screams cracking the walls outside and opening thr gate.

Eleven pulls Five onto her lap as Five sobs.

Eleven: Five, are you okay?
Five?

Five: Eleven... I'm sorry.

Five: Sorry? What are you sorry for?

Five: The gate... I opened it. I'm the monster.

Eleven: No. No, Five, you're not the monster. You saved me. Do you understand? You saved me.

Eleven pulls Five into a hug sobbing, Mike joins in as does Dustin. Once they separate they walk back to Mike's passing by a Electric company repair truck, but inside is a man who as a radio.

Man: I have eyes on him, Maple Street.

At Hawkins lab Brenner walks out with his soldiers in town. From afar Lucas watches. Putting two and two together he realizes the bad men found Five.
