This novel is the second book in The Sovereignty Series, a series of interconnected stories created by short_flame (Flame). It can be read as a stand-alone or directly after the novella Tilted, which is the first Sovereignty Series book. 

In short, Sovereignty is a loosely based mixture between Vampires and ABO (and a few other things), so keep that in mind as you read. The next chapter explains the universe/rules/structure of Sovereignty if you would like to look over it before you read to get a better grasp of the creatures of this book series before you explore it. If not, feel free to skip it! There's no stress, the story can be understood without it- it's for lore purposes or for anyone who is interested in it or would like to write their own stories in the same universe (with tagging me, of course).

Before we start with the story:
