Suspicious Intrest
Raven's P.O.V
It's been three days since the whole Swami thing. Since then there has been almost no crime.
Except for Kitten robbing a bank and hitting on Robin. Literally.
But that guy sort of...disturbs me. The way he looked at me before he disappeared.
Its almost noon. That's strange. Usually Star would knock on my door by now and ask me to go to the mall just like any other Friday. I'll go to the ops room.
Only person here is Robin.
"Hey, Robin, have you seen Star?" I asked. "Or anybody else?"
"No. Not really Raven. I think they're all bored from having nobody's butt to kick for the last 3 days. Cyborg might be trying to do that to Beast Boy though. You could check the gym for them."
"I don't care what those two do." I said. "What about Star? She usually asks me to go to the mall by now."
"I think she's in her room." At least I got the answer I wanted. But I couldn't really go and check, because for the first time in forever, the crime alarm went off.
"What's the problem?" Cyborg asked as he ran in.
"Mumbo." I answered looking at the screen.
"Ugh! Not him. I don't feel like dealing with the Great Bluedini's stupid tricks." Beast Boy complained. I glared at him.
"You'll get over it." I said in my usual monotone voice.
Then Star finally came in.
"Friends! Look out the window!" She sounded distressed. We all gathered at the window to see Mumbo riding on a magic carpet across the tops of buildings while trying to saw a civilian in half.
"Aww come on!" Beast Boy complained again.
"Would you stop complaining?!" I demand sternly.
"Jeez Raven what's your problem?"
"You're just being very annoying."
---Downtown Rooftops---
"Beast Boy-"
"On it!" He turned into a pterodactyl and tried to grab the carpet from under Mumbo, but he turned Beast Boy into a mouse and he fell, for some reason unable to change.
"Beast Boy!" I yelled. I caught him with a disk I made and then he morphed back.
"Thank Rae!"
"It's Raven."
Robin was able to jump on the carpet and knock Mumbo off it.
I quickly tied him up with some rope.
"Dude! First of all how did you stop me from morphing, and second of all, what were you doing?" Beast Boy asked.
"It was a new trick taught to me by a friend." He answered with a giddy smile on his face. He tried to free himself with his magic but I snatched his hat right off his head.
"Aww."
"Now if you don't mind Mumbo, can you tell us who this 'friend' is?" I asked.
"I think you already know him!" Then, of course, the Swami came out of nowhere.
"Oh. Him. I'm not surprised." I said.
"How did I not see that coming?!" Beast boy asked himself.
"Maybe because you're dumber than the animals you turn into." I mocked.
"Hey!!"
"What do you want Swami?" Robin demanded.
"What I want is simple. I want her." He pointed to me.
"What?" I was confused.
"I want the blue girl. Raven, I presume?" Now we are all confused.
"Why do you want Raven?" Cyborg asked.
"It doesn't matter. You can't have her! She's our friend!" Beast Boy said. I think I just blushed...eww.
"The Blue Girl is right. You are dumb. You don't have a choice."
After he finished talking he lunged at me and grabbed me. His grip is too tight! I can't get out!
"Ugh!!"
"Raven!" Robin yelled. Then Beast Boy turned into a falcon and Starfire, Robin, and Cyborg followed the Swami.
Cyborg blasted his sonic cannon and fired some missiles.
The Swami dodged it all while a missile hits me instead of the other way around.
"Oww! Mind loosening your grip?" I asked angrily.
Beast Boy tried pecking his arm but that did nothing.
Star fired a barrage of her green starbolts at him.
Some how he dodged them all.
Robin threw blinding disks at him. He made them explode before he reached them and blinded the others.
He's getting away, with me in his hands.
"You're not going to loosen up? Then I'll make you. Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" I took control of his hand and made him let me go and them captured him in a bubble of my magic.
"You guys ok?"
"Are you?" Starfire asked.
"I'm fine. Just a little squeezed."
"That's one way to loose some weight." Beast Boy joked. Cyborg elbowed him.
"Yeah Raven. We're fine. For an old man that guy can sure put up a fight." Old man? If I'm being honest he still looks in his thirties to me.
"I will get you Raven!" I heard him, but when I turned around the Swami was gone.
"Umm...ok...does anybody else think he is messing with us?" Beast Boy said. We all stared at him.
"Heh heh!"
---At the Tower---
I decided to meditate on the roof. I must have been doing so for maybe half an hour until somebody called my name.
"Raven?" Grr. I know who it is now...
"What Beast Boy?"
"I just wanted to know if you're ok. With the whole Swami thing earlier, you looked a little flushed. " he sounded truly concerned.
"I'm fine Beast Boy. His grip was just very tight. Knocked a little of the wind out of me." I answered calmly.
It felt nice, being nice to him for once. That doesn't happen a lot.
"Oh. Ok. I hope he doesn't try to come after you again." He said.
"I'll be fine. Cyborg's security system would go off if he came into the Tower." I reassured him.
"Fine. Promise me you'll be careful though."
"What?"
"Promise me." I took a moment.
"Ok." He gave me a gaudy smile and ran back into the Tower.
I teleported myself back into my room.
Beast Boy's P.O.V
I care about Raven more than I like let on. I only let the Beast out for Raven. I don't like seeing her get hurt, which is why I'm so worried about the Swami.
"So why do you think that Swami guy wanted Raven?" I asked Cyborg.
"Who knows, BB. It might be her powers. That guy seems pretty interested in magic stuff."
"Hey you want some tofu chips?" He glared at me.
"Heh...alright then. Just me."
"As always." When I went over to the pantry I saw one of Raven's books on the counter. I figured I'd give it to her later tonight. I already bothered her once today. I'll wait for a couple hours and then bug her again.
***TIME SKIP***
Raven's been in her room all day. I hope she's ok. I'll give her her book now and then go to bed.
I knocked on her door. No answer. I pressed my ear to the door, I heard a lot of shuffling from the other side.
"Raven? Are you ok?" No answer. I heard her grunting now.
"Raven!" Now I'm scared. Quiet. I turned into a fly and flew through the crack of the door and then morphed back into a human.
Her room was a wreak. It looked like my room. Books on the floor, the bed was a mess, and all of the stuff on the dressers was thrown across the room.
There's a note on the bed.
Help Me!! Was written on the post-it.
"Robin! Cyborg! Starfire!" I yelled running out of her room.
