"Let's go on a date"

Eunwoo almost spit out the cereal out of the shock. He looked at the younger with widened eyes. Shaking his head, he couldn't believe what he heard.

"What? Am I hearing this wrong? Did you say what I think you just said?" Eunwoo questioned him.

"Yes,I thought about it all night,barely got any sleep because of your confession and everything else. So I have decided I want to give us a try" Jeongguk said to him,he looked pretty sincere.

"A-Are you sure? I was actually going to apologise about last night,I didn't meant to-"

"Fall for me? you don't have to apologise for your feelings Eunwoo"

"It's not that,Just confessing while drunk wasn't how I imagined to confess to you,with that said you really don't have to force yourself to like me,if you reject I am cool with that...Our friendship will remain the same you don't have to worry about it" Eunwoo explained all the options that they could be led to.

"But it won't be the same. We both know it,whatever step we take right now we can't go back to what we had before"

"That's true...I'm sorry" He apologised,looking down in his lap,his fingers twiddling against each other.

"Stop apologising please. You didn't fall for me intentionally,that's something you should never apologise for. So as I said,let's go on a date. I know what I want and I want to move on from Taehyung" Jeongguk admitted. It's true,he can't keep on hanging on if the latter wants nothing to do with him.

"it won't be easy"

"I know,So do you want to-"

"Why would I say no? this is more than I imagined to happen between us" Eunwoo got up from his seat and walked towards the younger boy.

He placed Jeongguk's hands on his own,rubbing his palm evenly. Looking down at him with his eye smile,his lips curled. Looking at him so sweetly,Jeongguk didn't really mind that at all. It felt nice to be looked at that way.

"Thank you for giving me a chance"

"Don't thank me,I want this as much as you-" he was immediately cut off by Eunwoo.

"-that's not true,I like you but you don't even know how happy I'm right now,This is like.. a dream come true" He responded.

"Ok loverboy,don't make me blush now. So where are we going for our first date?" Jeongguk stood up,asking him the important question.

"Hmm...You talked about how you would love to go to an arcade as a date just because of how much fun you have there and it also makes you happy when you win every time because you are competitive but we will forget that part" He said,making the younger one snicker. Nudging him playfully with his shoulder.

"That's not true...I do love arcades but not because to fill in my urge to win everytime"

"Yeah ok,so what do you say? we will also go on my bike" Eunwoo had a smug look on his face. Jeongguk looked at him unbelievably.

"Are you serious??? you never let on anyone on that cool ass bike you got"

"Yeah but you are special, we can take a ride around the city,I just want today to be perfect" Eunwoo was really trying and Jeongguk wanted to put in the same effort.

"Can't wait,Let me put on something better and you change too" Jeongguk demanded him as he looked him up and down. A t-shirt with grey sweatpants wasn't going to do for a date.

He got up and that's when he realised it. Where is he going? his clothes are not here but at Taehyung's place instead...

"Ah fuck" He cursed at himself. Eunwoo looked over his shoulder when he saw the younger one stopping on his footsteps. "What?"

"My clothes are at Taehyung's...I have nothing to wear" His smile dropped at the thought of going back there.

"Well,you can just wear my clothes right now but you can go back to their apartment and get your clothes?"

"No. I can't see him yet,I don't want to face him, I am not ready to talk to him" Jeongguk immediately denied meeting Taehyung.

"Then just give me Taehyung hyung's number and I'll just call him for you and get your clothes" Eunwoo replies.

"Oh thank you Eunwoo-yah. I really am grateful for you,I'll text you it later let's get ready now"

The second Jeongguk got on his bike,he was feeling ecstatic. He remembers in Highschool when he had a bit of a bad boy phase with Yugyeom and then Mingyu and Eunwoo came,the jocks. They really were the stereotypical group out of a chick flick now that he thinks about. He still recalls the moment when Eunwoo came to school on his cool black bike.

With a roaring engine and with his dashing looks,everyone had their eyes on the Boy. Even Jeongguk,He was more impressed by the cool as fuck bike rather than Eunwoo who was clearing showing off. Though,the latter never let them get on it or something he called it his gem.

Even if Jeongguk asked,he still denied,he loved it that much.

"Grab my jacket or my waist if you don't want to fall off," Eunwoo said as he turned on his bike. Jeongguk moved closer to him,Wrapping his arms around the other boy's waist.

He soon started to drive and it was like they were flying. He was moving pretty fast and that was the best part of this bike. With his hair flowing back out of his face,A huge smile on his lips.

The cold air hitting him,going through the streets of Seoul was everything. The vibrant lights,the look of people and the moon. So much around him yet his focus was on himself.

"This is so fucking fun!!" Jeongguk yelled loudly so Eunwoo could hear him.

Eunwoo smiled,looking back for a second to see Jeongguk who had his eyes closed and a big grin on his face,enjoying the experience. his own Lips curled into a smile to see the boy happy. The boy who was crying 2 nights ago is now looking so happy. It's the little things that matter in the end.

After roaming around the city for around 20 minutes they finally reached the arcade. Jeongguk felt like a 14 year old stepping into the arcade for the first time and just being star struck by how cool the whole place was. It really was so amazing. There were shockingly a lot of people despite it being a weekday.

And That's when it started. the start of Jeongguk's ego boosting. He is competitive and a perfectionist,he won't lie about that at all because it's really true. Losing isn't a word in its dictionary and thanks to how good he is at literally everything he doesn't have to worry about it.

"No we are not playing basketball" Eunwoo stated when he saw him eyeing the basketball machine. Jeongguk moved closer to him,they were face to face now.

"Why? scared you will lose?" He teased him.

"Gukkie,if you forgot, I was the star player in highschool if there's anyone losing it's you," Eunwoo smirked at him.

"We will see about that"

With that both of them made their way to the two basketball machines. Putting in the coins as the game between them started. Jeongguk would be lying if he said he wanted to feel a bit nervous because he knows Eunwoo is pretty good and he doesn't want to lose.

So he rolled up the shirt sleeve,it's really serious now. With his tattoo peeking out,he probably looks intimidating to other people. You could just hear the sound of when you put the ball in the basket go insane as both of them couldn't stop throwing.

Jeongguk felt pretty good by the end of it. He got 71 points in 170 seconds. He beat the high score on this machine. A smug look on his face as he made his way to see what Eunwoo got,he knew he got this one in the bag.

Standing next to the boy,who was staring at him endearingly. "What's your score?" Younger one asked.

"Check yourself," Eunwoo replies. Jeongguk rolled his eyes at him and looked at the screen infront of him.

"You have to be shitting me...95!?!? are you sure you are not a robot!?!" Jeongguk exclaimed,he huffed in annoyance. He can't believe he lost.

Eunwoo noticed how annoyed they were . He chuckled when he saw him pouting. throwing his arm around the other shoulder.

"Told you so,Guk. There was a reason why girls were crazy for me and I was the team captain"

"Whatever,I'll choose the next one since you had an advantage with this one" Jeongguk walked off to some other machine.

he wanted to say Jeongguk chose this one too but it's better to just listen to the younger one right now. They walked over to some other multiple machines and played there.

The start was good but Eunwoo was regretting his decision to come here. He should have gone easy in the start but no he pissed Jeongguk off and now out of just the spite of losing,Eunwoo has lost every game in a total of 5 machines. His ego that was reaching the roof,is now trying to get up from the pits of hell.

"and you called me a robot" Eunwoo rolled his eyes at the younger one now who has been grinning non stop.

"Aw come on don't get upset,It's not my fault I'm literally so perfect"

"I hate you so much"

"No you dont,You like me so much that you can't function without me" He exaggerated with a very expressive look. Waiting for Eunwoo to disagree but that part never came. Instead he just got a kiss on cheek instead.

"That's true,I can't even deny that" He replied,Jeongguk could feel his cheeks heat up. He is kind of liking this.

"If you want to get your pride back and win my heart,then get me something from that claw machine" He pointed at the machine in the corner.

"Alright,I love claw machines. I don't know how everyone fails in them,there are many tricks,come I'll show you" Eunwoo grabbed Jeongguk's hand for the first time tonight. Dragging him to the machine.

They stood in front of the machine,looking at a bunch of stuff inside. He saw a cute bunny pushing and decided to get that for Jeongguk.

Even though he did hyped himself up,it took him 5 tries to get that one plushie. Jeongguk laughing every time it falls from the claw and teasing him about how he said 'I don't know how everyone fails in them' and mocking him for it.

"Mister. i-am-so-perfect. It sure took you a lot of tries to get this bunny" Jeongguk said as Eunwoo gave him the bunny.

"For you,Listen, something is wrong with that machine because I really am good at it. But it's okay, it's all worth the stress if I can give this to you" Eunwoo smiled at him sweetly. Jeongguk looked down at the pushing,his lips curled into a smile.

"Thank you,that's sweet of you. Now should we go and get something to eat?" He suggested.

"Yeah there's a restaurant right down the like 5 minutes walk so let's just go there" Eunwoo told him,both of them making their way out of the arcade.

Walking side by side,strolling down the Seoul streets. It was nice,it felt super nice too. Jeongguk looked at Eunwoo,who seemed lost in his own thoughts.

"You know back then you didn't let anyone get on your bike,not even me,So what made you change your mind now?" He asked,starting a conversation.

"Well back then in highschool,That bike was my first priority and now...you are my first priority" He answered. This boy would be the death of Jeongguk.

"You need to stop being cheesy and tell me for real"

"I am for real,I didn't like you when I first met you but as we began to be friends I slowly developed a crush on you and fk my bike I am willing to give you everything you want" He told Jeongguk. That made sense.

"Wow,You are so whipped for me,it's weird not bad weird don't worry. I don't know,we have been friends for so long so yeah it's something. So you've liked me since High School? Does anyone besides me know?" Jeongguk questioned him.

"Yeah,Like at senior year I came to terms with the fact that I like you and no,no one beside you knows. Maybe my ex and my brother,I think Mingyu has an idea but he isn't fully sure" Eunwoo told him what he thinks.

'Oh he knows too much' Jeongguk thought to himself. "Oh yeah? so you have liked me through highschool,college and now university...Fuck Eunwoo I feel like shit for not noticing earlier. Did no one make your head turn in all those years?"

"Nope,my ex came close to that and I thought ok I can finally move on but yeah then we broke up,she didn't like me anymore so I was back to you" He answered,a sad chuckle escaping.

Jeongguk really felt like shit. Eunwoo is honestly one of the best people he has ever met. He is sweet,kind and very handsome. If he wasn't so in love with Taehyung and just Noticed Eunwoo's feelings before he might would have liked him back as much as he does.

"Well atleast I am here no-"

"Jeongguk?" Younger boy was cut off by a familiar voice. He turned towards his front and saw two very familiar boys standing in front of him.

There were Kim Taehyung and Jung Hoseok,standing right infront of them. They were both suited up in designer suits,Maybe they were on their way to some mission or preferably a meeting.

The expressions on both of their faces were so different it made him chuckle. Hoseok was confused and shocked to run into them here and Taehyung...was blank. There was no emotion on that man's face and it kinda broke his heart.

It's all because his heart feels so delighted to see Older man's face and just wants to wrap his arms around him and then there's Taehyung who doesn't even look affected by his disappearance from his life.

"Hobi hyung and...Taehyung hyung,What are you guys doing here?" Jeongguk questioned them.

"We just came back from a meeting and now we are..." Hoseok paused when he realised that Jeongguk's friends were there too and he doesn't know if he knows. "He knows" Jeongguk answered.

"Oh,Yeah we are now going on a mission. It's so good to see you Jeongguk,how have you been?"

"I am...alright,I think. Yeah. Enough about me,What about you? Are you okay? Is Yoongi Hyung okay? I am sorry I couldn't visit again " He asked him.

"Yeah,He's still in Coma but he will wake up,My Yoongi is very strong" Hoseok answered.

Jeongguk couldn't help it so he walked closer to Hoseok and gave him a hug. Pulled him in tightly. "I believe in Yoongi hyung too,He will wake up, don't you worry much" He pulled back.

"What are you both doing here?" Taehyung spoke up for the first time. His tone was too flat. He didn't even sound jealous, just very stern.

"We are on a date" Jeongguk answered immediately with an 'innocent' smile. He felt Eunwoo's put his arms around his shoulder when he said.

"Woah did I miss a few chapters? I don't even know your date name Jeongguk-ah,at least introduce us" Hoseok said to him.

"Oh sorry,I should have introduced myself. I am Eunwoo,Jeongguk's best friend from university and now we are on a date" He put his hand out,Hoseok shook it.

"Ooh,I am Hoseok,Taehyung's friend. Be nice to our Jeongguk-ah. Though I still feel like I missed a few chapter"

Hoseok glanced at Taehyung who was avoiding eye contact with everyone. His gaze switched to Jeongguk who was staring at Taehyung. He could see he was hurt by how unresponsive Taehyung was. Everything's adding up.

"We will go now. Both of you enjoy your date" Taehyung said,walking right by Jeongguk. There was a small hope he would stop but he didn't. But Jeongguk wasn't ready to let go.

"Taehyung!"

The older one stopped at his footsteps and turned back around. Facing the younger who looked like he was contemplating multiple choices in his mind. Jeongguk doesn't even know what he has to say to him so he just said what came into his mind.

"My clothes,Yes I need them back to my apartment" Jeongguk said,This is definitely what he didn't want to say.

"Oh,So you really aren't coming back. OK,Just come by Tomorrow to our home-" he was cut off by Jeongguk.

"I don't want to go back there...Can you drop it by my apartment? come around morning I won't be home because of University" Jeongguk asked. The tension was so thick it could be cut with a knife.

"Sure, Let's go Hyung" He said to Hoseok,who just nodded. Both of the boys walked away and Jeongguk had no reason to stop them.

Eunwoo meanwhile felt like he was back to where he started. He didn't speak much but he analysed the whole situation and it was too obvious,Jeongguk hasn't moved on at all obviously,he can't just move on in some days. But it still hurts to see him hurt.

"What a dickhead," Eunwoo muttered under his breath.

Eunwoo grabbed Jeongguk's hand and pulled him back towards him,getting him out of his head space. Taking him into an alley where they can get some sort of privacy as Jeongguk looked seconds away from crying."Hey,you okay?"

"Yeah,I am fine" Jeongguk looked down at his feet. Not making eye contact.

Eunwoo grabbed him by his chin,making him lift his head and face him. He saw tears welling up inside the younger boy's eyes. He chuckled sadly. "You are not fine,baby. That's fine,You can talk to me,You can't move on in just a few days and I understand that,you can treat Me like a friend at times like this,now talk to me are you okay?"

"Not really,I don't know what's wrong with me. Why do I like him so much when he clearly doesn't give a shit about me anymore. I wanted him to hug me,apologise for what he did but he couldn't even spare me a look. I feel like shit,this is fucking insufferable" Jeongguk vented to Eunwoo.

He knows this is selfish of him to say that to Eunwoo because he has feelings for Jeongguk but he can't help It.

"Yeah,that was pretty shitty of him but just give him time,I don't know about going back to whatever you guys were before but he will come around and apologise. Don't worry,baby. Even if he doesn't,fuck him you don't need him"

"I can't live without him"

"That's not true,instead of him,depend on me,Guk. Use me,I am giving your full permission for that" Eunwoo said to him. Jeongguk made eye contact with him and then his gaze went down to his lips.

"Can I kiss you?" Jeongguk asked.

"Yeah"

and the seconds their lips touched,Jeongguk felt absolutely nothing.

Sooo sorry for not uploading for two weeks straight. I have been very down mentally and couldn't find the inspiration to write, which is why this chapter is very rushed and very shit. So just bare with me this month. I'll try my best to update every week
