Jin

"Jin Hyung! Your phone is ringing!"

I hear that and run to collect my phone from where I had left it for charging. We are in our practice room and we just finished with shooting another episode of Run BTS. 

Tomorrow is ISAC (Idol Star Athletics Championship) shooting and since it nearly eats up the whole day, we decided to complete a few things today itself.

I smile when I see the contact name and pick up the call.

"Sandeul-ah!!"

"Seokjin-ahh!!" He cries out loud on call. 

Alarmed, I ask "Wae? Why? What happened?"

"I am in trouble! Can you please come and help me out?" He says and I am already walking towards the table to collect my things.

"Where are you now?" I ask him, pocketing my car keys and wallet.

"At my dorm. The passcode is 12**78." He says, and I cut the call.

I make my way to Namjoon and tap him on the shoulder. "Namjoon-ah. Sandeul is in a problem, I am going to his dorm. You guys get back home safely and tell the managers too, okay?" I say and am about to leave when Yoongi stops me.

"Hyung, is everything alright?" He asks me, worry evident on his face.

"I don't know what happened. You know Sandeul, he always manages to get into the worst of problems." I say, massaging my head.

"You want me to come with you? There will be no one to help you Hyung. All his members are gone for a trip." He says.

"I won't mind company if no one is there. Let's go." I say and Yoongi follows me out.

We are here since a few hours now and trust me when I say this, I have never regretted anything in my life. Why did this idiot have to be my friend? And why was he dragging me into his stupidity.

What had started as an urgent call from a distressed friend is quickly turning into a nightmare. Turns out that he had just lost in an online competition where he ended up revealing his identity in a mad fit of denial and is now his company has asked him to stay in the dorms till the matter settles down. That is what his problem was, He was bored.

I sigh and rub my eyes. What I wouldn't do to be at home now.

Just when I am so close with ditching Yoongi with Sandeul and going back home, My phone rang again. Joohyun's name flashes on the screen and I lift the call on the first dial itself.

"Hello?" I say, a smile already present on my face.

"Hi!" Her sweet voice responds, "Are you busy?"

I look at a fool of my friend trying his level best to make Yoongi join him for a round of games while the later is doing his best to avoid him. Sandeul shrugs and goes back to his game, turning the volume to the highest. I wince and rub my ear.

"Not really." I say, "What's up?"

"Ah...are you at the dorms?" She asks, probably hearing the commotion behind me.

"No. I am at a friend's place." I reply, now curious of why did she actually call me. It's evident  that she is jumping around the topic.

"What happened, JooHyun-ah?" I ask before she can say something. Turns out I was correct for she releases a deep breathe. 

Sensing a serious conversation ahead, I head towards the small balcony in Sandeul's room where I can have a little privacy.

"Um...you are not going to like this." She says, hesitantly. "My agency official just contacted me. He said that it has been decided that tomorrow in ISAC, we both shouldn't interact at all. They want us to act like strangers."

I frown and tighten my grip on my phone. "Did they give you a reason?" I ask.

"No...I just got a message and didn't reply to it." She says. "I wanted to discuss it with you first."

My heart warmed a little at that and a smile took over my face. She cares.

"Thank you for that. What do you think we should do? You do know that we have option here, you know?" I said, closing my eyes and feeling the cold wind caressing my face. Ah..how refreshing.

While a part of me knew that what decision her company had taken was appropriate, I was not in the favor of acting like strangers when our fans believed we are in a relationship.  At times i do think I am betraying them by not telling them the truth but then Joohyun's smile flashes in front of me and all my reasons melt away. 

We did get very close because of that deal and trying to pretend otherwise will only be problem to us. For I know that I will not be able to keep my eyes off her during the entire day tomorrow.

"I think we should accept it...I don't want us to be a gossip topic everywhere we go." She says. I can almost immediately sense that there is more than what she telling me. She has different reasons and she is not willing to disclose it to me. 

I sigh and look down at the streets where cars rush by busily."If this is what you think is correct, then lets do it." 

Afterall, ISAC is an event where idols go to promote their team and skills, not their relations. If we do happen to interact a lot, then we will become a tabloid dominator.

"What are your plans for today?" I ask her, trying to change the topic to a more bright one.

She hesitated for a second before replying, "I am going to meet a friend. They are going to debut soon so we are celebrating." 

I nod and before I could even say something, I hear commotion from her side before a new voice greets me. "Hello Jin-ssi! I am really sorry for cutting in you call short but unni had to go to a very important place and she is already late. She will not cut the call herself so I have to do it for her. Thank you for understanding! Bye!" and she immediately cuts the call.

Important place? Wasn't she going to meet her friend?

I shrug and put my phone in my pocket and look to my left to get the fright of my life. Sanduel stands there leaning against the railing, a meaningful smile on his face, his eyebrows wiggling.

"Trouble in paradise?" He asks me with a silly smile on his face.

I roll my eyes and turn to walk back inside. Time to go home, he seemed enough entertained anyway. I can hear him whining behind following me to the living room where Yoongi is.

"Yoongi let's go. We are done here for today. " At this, for the first time, I see Yoongi spring up from the sofa and dash past me to get out of the house. I laugh and follow him, waving bye to my sulking friend, and close the door behind me.
