Red and chocolate eyes widened in surprise. They both knew exactly who the voice belonged to.

"Lui!" Valt's mouth dried as he looked to the blue flamed haired male standing behind him. There was a slight change in the way the luinor blader looked at the two. Something was off. The look in his purple eyes seemed to be filled with some kind of unnatural rage.

Shu noticed the look in Lui's eyes as well. Out of instinct he grabbed ahold of Valt's shoulders, yanking the shorter male forward into a protective hug. He could feel the pounding of the blunette's heart through the embrace. It was an odd feeling for numerous reasons but at the moment the danger they were in was the main priority.

"What's the matter Shu? You don't need to look so frightened. A little beating never hurt anyone." Valt tensed at the choice of words. Was Lui really planning on beating them both physically or in a bey battle? Hopefully the beating would be a bey battle and nothing more.

"Shu what are we going to do?" Valt whispered.

The obvious answer answer was to prepare to run again, but Shu had something else in mind.

To Valt, the latter whispered. "Trust me on what I'm about to do, don't try to interfere."

To Lui, Shu spoke loud and clear. "I'm not the one who should be scared right now." A fire burned in his eyes as he spoke.

Letting go of his hold on the bluenette, Shu rose to his feet.

"What exactly do you have against us? Is it the bond we have with our beys - the power you wish you wish you could have? What is it Lui, tell me."

Lui smirked, glancing down to Valt and then back to Shu. He reached for something in his back pocket, a low growl rising in his throat.

"You seriously don't have a clue do you? My whole reasoning for wanting you both out of my life is because of your pathetic relationship with each other. People like you both are just a thorn in my side. We shouldn't need friends or partners when our beys have all the power and companionship!"

The object that came out of the purple eyed males pocket was his bey and launcher. As he spoke he readied his bey in his launcher.

Time seemed to move incredibly slow as Lui launched Luinor in the direction of Valt. Since the bey was an attack type it wasn't moving too quickly. However it was fast enough as a surprise attack.

"Spryzen!"

Shu launched his bey, which collided with Luinor just in time to stop the attack from reaching Valt. The impact from spryzen was so strong that it caused Luinor to fall apart in a burst finish.

Not quiet ready to give up, Lui re-pieced his bey back together. Just before the blue flamed haired male could launch his bey a second time, Valt sprung forward, tackling Lui to the ground.

This was a shook to all three of the bladers. Never had any of them expected Valt to do this sort of thing. It wasn't in the bluenette's nature to use physical force on someone.

"What are you doing you pest? Get off of me!"

Valt struggled to keep Lui down. Several times he lost his grip on the other, but never once did he allow the other a chance to get a real escape.

Shu, who had been momentarily stunned, finally ran up to the two. He had to use all of his strength to pry the bluenette off of the other. The look in Valts once pure innocent eyes were now replaced with rage and determination; much how Lui looked earlier.

"Snap out of it Valt! You're nothing like him so don't start something that'll make you just as bad as he is!"

From behind the two Lui rose to his feet with emotionless eyes staring at the males.

What am I doing wasting my precious time with these two? There's no way I'll ever be able to take them both down at the same time with that Spryzen blader constantly at the twerps side.

Without saying a word, Lui began to walk away. This wasn't worth his time and effort anymore.

Going back to Valt, he had tears forming in his eyes. The thought of him turning into someone like Lui was unbearable. There was no way he'd ever allow himself to become filled with rage.

"Don't cry Valt you're not going to turn into a person like Lui, I promise."

Looking up to the latter, Valt gave a weak smile.

What followed next made Shu freeze. Valt had thrown himself into Shu's arms, head burried into his chest.

"Thank you... Could you hold me for a little?"

"...Whatever you want..."

Valt sighed as he watched Shu clean up around the apartment. All the broken glass had been thrown away and the windows had been boarded up. This was all Lui's fault! Shouldn't he be the one cleaning up all the damge?

Oh man, to think this all started because Lui couldn't handle Shu's and me being friends?

Valt studied his friend for a moment. What was so wrong about them having a close friendship? Maybe it was because their personalities were diffrent? Then again that's what made the two so close in the first place. Over time their friendship did start to feel much more to the bluenette. Even now more than ever did Valt feel something much more... His true feelings on their friendship surpassed a crush state long ago.

"You okay?" Shu asked. He sat down beside the other on the sofa having finished all the cleaning. A look of tiredness clearly visible on his face.

Valt nodded grabbing ahold of the strings of his red hoodie. There it was, that odd butterfly feeling in his stomach which only appeared because of the Spryzen blader.

"Yeah, just tired like you... Hey would it be okay if I stayed over again tonight? I know it's still a bit early but I thought I'd ask ahead of time for once."

The latter smiled with a nod as he lent back in the sofa to relax. He was glad Valt still wanted to hang around after all that had happened.

Sleep tugged at Shu's eyes, which he closed in response. A little nap couldn't hurt.

"Shu? Can I tell you one last thing before you fall asleep?"

A light "mmhmm" waa the response the bluenette got.

Continuing, Valt leaned over to lay his head on the latter's shoulder.

"Remember how I asked for your advice the other day and you told me to tell the person I like how I felt in private? Well..." He tilted his head up slightly to look at the now sleeping silvery white haired male. An annoyed sigh escaped his lips knowing that whatever he would say now wouldn't even be heard or registered properly to the other.

Instead of staying upset, Valt snuggled closer to his sleeping friend.

Never mind, it can wait until sometime later.
