How could Ponyboy say that to me, Johnny is going to wake up, he has too... I need Johnny Cade to be in my life. I need him more than anything. He's my everything. I headed to my house, I couldn't stand to be in that hospital any longer. It just sucks. I sat on my bed with my guitar and songbook. I grabbed a pen and strummed as I wrote down the lyrics that came into my head. The ideas just flowed and I wrote a song for Johnny, after I finished the lyrics, I asked Dallas to come in. "I wanna show you something." I said strumming my guitar gently. "This is for Johnny..." I said to Dallas and he nodded.

Dallas looked at me and said," You really love him don't you?" "More than anything..." I responded looking at Dallas. "So does he. He even wants to marry you one day, he told me." said Dallas and I managed a smile. I imagined what it would be like if Johnny turned to be fine and we got married and had a family. I wished it could be as simple as wishing for it, but it wasn't. Ponyboy came over a bit later and said,"I'm really sorry Emily, I shouldn't have snapped at you. I'm just so upset with Jenna possibly being dead and Johnny not waking up. I need Jenna like you need Johnny." "I know you, I forgive you don't worry,Pone." I told him and we hugged.
