Not Without You- Chekov (part two)

You were dreaming about spending the day with Chekov, no worries, no secrets, no hiding. You were running in a field of long grass and flowers, laughing as Chekov chased after you. You turn to look at him and his smile sends a blush to your cheeks. The two of you step closer and suddenly the smells are stronger and the colors become brighter. Right before you were sure something was going to happen you felt a sure and strong sudden prick of pain on your back. You awaken and wince, burying your face in Chekov's warm chest.

"So you are fraternizing with the enemy!"

Your father. But how?

"Get up girl, it's time the two of you learned a lesson."

The next thing you knew, you were being forcefully pulled out of the arms of Chekov and onto the ground in front of your father.

You looked up at him in disgust. "I already tried to tell you that I was safe and with Chekov who was left behind thanks to you and your warmongering!"

That earned you a slap on the face. Chekov gritted his teeth and practically growled as he pulled on the guards that held him back from getting to you. "Don't you touch her! She's your daughter!"

"Exactly. So I may do as I please. Just as I will with you. Guards, tie and gag him. I don't want him alerting his little friends to save his pathetic skin."

"That would put a damper on your plans wouldn't it?" An unfamiliar voice came from the entrance of the cave.

"Kiepten!"

"Ah, Captain Kirk, so you have finally decided to rear your ugly face after all this time."

You looked between the men, noticing that Chekov's captain was far from ugly, though not as attractive as Chekov. Several more of Chekov's crewmates stepped through the ivy, pointing their weapons at the few guards that they outnumbered.

"As you can see, your Majesty, we have you out numbered and out gunned. This doesn't have to get messy." The yellow-shirted leader looked between you and Chekov, making sure the two of you were alright.

"Yes, well, as it turns out I got here first. Let's see if your little friend here is stronger than that green blooded creature you brought me before." Your father snarled, flicking his wrist at the guards holding Chekov.

Your eyes widened as you guessed at what was going to happen to him. You scramble to your feet but don't get far. A sharp pain on your head caused you to wince as a fist full of your hair kept you back. You painfully twist around to find a guard snarling down at you like you were the one who started the whole war, not your father.

A loud shout echoed off the walls, Chekov was able to get his gag off. "Get your dirty hands off her! She didn't do anything wrong!" That outburst earned Chekov a kick in the gut. You whimper but keep your mouth shut, not wanting to get either of you in more trouble.

"Your Majesty, we can take care of this peacefully or diplomatically. Either way, I am getting my ensign back." Captain Kirk declared, slightly raising his hands and putting away his weapon.

Your father scoffed. "And what of my traitorous daughter? Take her with you? I think not. No, I would greatly enjoy seeing someone pay for their heinous actions." With that, he nodded to the guards holding your dear friend and watched as they started to beat him. Not a few blows in did beams of light race across the room and hit the guards, causing them to collapse to the ground in a heap of dead weight. Your head turned as much as it could to the direction of the colored battalion, each one of them holding up their weapons, several of them pointing at each guard.

"I warned you, I am getting my ensign back. We will give sanctuary to all who seek it." Kirk said those last words looking right at you, giving you a thread of hope after days of uncertainty.

"Well, it seems that you like war, Captain. May the best warrior win."

Sounds, lights, screams, shouts, and debris filled and clouded your senses. You rolled in on yourself, silently praying for it all to end. Suddenly you felt hands grasp your arms and force you up. You thrashed about and screamed in hopes of warding away your attacker. But soft words caused you to stop.

"(Y/N)! Hey, shhh, it's me." You stopped and looked into his light eyes, blinking back tears. A whimper escaped your lips as you buried your face in his warm chest. "Come on, let's get out of this mess. You can come with us."

You nodded mutely as you let your sweet savior navigate out of the battlefield. Right before the both of you entered out into the open clean air you felt a sudden and sharp pain in your side. You let out a yelp of pain, leaning into Chekov. His eyes go wide as he takes you into his arms, one of his hands feeling something warm on your side. He looked at his hand. Blood. Looking at your face and brushing away a hair, he made sure you were alright everywhere else.

"It must have been one of our weapons, your light beams don't leave blood." You weakly stated, your breathing becoming harder to keep steady.

"Don't talk. I have you. You will be well looked after." Chekov looked around, spotting a wide area perfect for beaming up. Placing a soft kiss on your forehead, he rushed with you in his arms to the clear area calling out to Scotty to beam the two of you up.

You were somewhat awake for it all but once you felt your body go all fuzzy and you noticed you weren't on your home planet anymore, your mind gave up and you slipped into unconsciousness.

You blinked hard, trying to remember all that happened. Your head felt heavy and your eye-lids refused to lift. So you resorted to your hearing and smell. It smelled clean, cleaner than the cave water you and Chekov had found in your hideout. You heard beeps and soft sounds of chatter. Now fully accustomed to Chekov's language, you were able to make out people talking about a fight that happened on the surface of the planet. Your plant. Your home. Your father. The battle. Suddenly, it all came rushing back. Your breathing became labored and your body started to tense up. The voices grew louder and you recognized one of them.

"Oh, thank the heavens you are alright!" You felt a hand rest on your shoulder as another one took your hand. "You are safe (Y/n), your father cannot hurt you here."

One question came to mind as you worked on opening your eyes. "Was anyone else hurt?"

"A few of my people have gotten injured but none were fatal. But a few of your father's men..." His voice drifted off.

You nodded as best as you could, swallowing hard. "But my father?"

"Uninjured that we know of. But he escaped before we could question him about his actions." His hand moved from your shoulder to your hair, stroking it gently, smiling when you opened your eyes just barely.

You snorted but regretted it instantly. "You wouldn't have gotten anything out of him." You look Chekov right in his eyes. "What will happen with me?"

He smiled and placed a soft kiss on your cheek. "Whatever you want. You have sanctuary here. Your father can not touch you."

You nod, closing your eyes, letting a few tears silently fall. "Are you going to leave? Leave my home and this planet?" You whisper, almost not wanting to think about it, the change was so sudden.

"Not without you."

Your eyes snap open and look right at him, not caring you were about to ugly cry. "Really? I feel like a lot of this was my fault."

Now it was Chekov's turn to scoff. "Not another word." And with that, he covered your mouth with his, gentle at first but grew strong as you ran your hands through his hair. He pulled away and kissed the tip of your nose. "Now rest. I want to show you around my home."

The both of you smiled at each other, he leaned down to kiss you one more time before he turned to leave after being ushered out by a gruff sounding man with kind eyes. For the first time in a long time, you were able to sleep without the fear of not knowing if the next morning was going to be your last. A smile pulls at your lips. No, now you will be able to dream endlessly of days filled with the man who kissed you like you were his world. He is now your home.
