Not Without You- Chekov
Chekov ducked under an out cropping of rock. The deep alien chatter above him made him hold his breath. After a few seconds, the chatter sounded off in the distance so he took the risk to run back to his hideout. Climbing, running and crouching, Chekov found the cove he had staked out a week and two days ago when he was left stranded on the alien planet. It wasn't anyone's fault, just him being at the wrong place at the wrong time.
The alien chatter started up again, but this time, it sounded closer and more urgent. Chekov moved a little closer and peered around a fallen boulder, spying five of the humanoid aliens invading his hideout. He said a few choice Russian words as he backed up and headed for his backup place, thanking all the stars in the sky that he followed his instincts.
The chirp of his communicator startled Chekov, causing him to dive behind a tree to take cover. Pulling it out, he listened to the one-sided conversation with Kirk as the Enterprise tried to stay together under heavy fire.
"Mr. Chekov! We know you aren't dead yet because Scotty has your transporter signal,"
Chekov about yelled in excitement, but thankfully remembered to stay quiet save he should be caught and the trouble the crew went through be all for not.
"-but we have sustained heavy damage as we hold these guys off. Do you think you can hold out for a few more days as we repair? Uhura and Spock are handling the negotiating while we handle the...uh, never mind. Turn the communicator off twice for yes and three times for no."
Chekov looked around him then down at his grubby stolen clothes. Taking a deep breath and shrugging he turned the communicator off twice. What more can he do than wait?
"You're a trooper Mr. Chekov, I won't forget this. I'm sorry it's taking so long. Hang tight." And with that, the communicator shut off.
"I better get his secret stash of whisky this time." Chekov grumbled half-heartedly as he entered behind a wall of green vines and into an open cave holding the rest of his supplies. Somehow he has to get this to last him a few more days.

You let out a quiet, slow breath as you peered through the window slats while you dangled off the outside window pane. They were talking about that alien boy again. You have been tracking him since he was left on your home planet. You can't figure out why in the world they would leave such a smart and quite attractive crew member.
You hear a loud crash from above, pulling your attention away from the delegates inside. A fiery ball of ship debris rained down from the sky. You rolled your eyes and looked for a way down. Of course, they would resort to fighting and the poor guy got left behind. But a voice from inside the room that you haven't heard before made you pause in your trek down the wall. You spotted two members of the boy's crew enter the room, one was a tall pointy eared man wearing a blue shirt the other a female wearing a red dress with long dark hair. You cocked your head to the side, they would be a pretty cute couple. The one with pointy ears suddenly looked in your direction. You took in a quick breath as you ducked, hoping he didn't see you.
As quickly and as quietly as you could, you lowered yourself the ground, finally letting out a breath of relief. You checked your surroundings before you headed to your stashed survival bag behind a tree. Once you got to it you noticed movement off in the distance. A group of five guards were patrolling but it was the lone figure running below them that caught your attention.
"It's him." You whisper in awe. Without hesitation, you grabbed your bag and ran in his direction. You were not going to lose him this time. And this time, you plan on knowing why he was left.
It took longer than you thought to track him. By his looks alone, you didn't think he would be that good of a survivalist but by the degree of stealth he used you would have thought he was personally trained by your brother, the captain of the guard.
You stop to catch your breath behind a rock after seeing him enter through a wall of green ivy. He had stopped at one point to talk to a small little box, whatever that is. You check your surroundings to make sure they were clear before you made a mad dash to the hidden cave.
A loud shout and splashing of water caused you to scream and throw your arm up in surrender, falling on your knees. In the best imitation of their language as you could, you asked for peace.
"Please, I am good. Will not harm you." You hesitantly looked between your arms but instantly regretted it knowing your face was reddening by the second. A half-dressed, water soaked man stood in front of you, not at all hiding a young childish body under all his clothing. But his weapon he was pointing at your face didn't go unnoticed either.
"How did you find me?"
"I followed you." You quickly replied.
"Are you alone?" He asked skeptically.
"Yes."
You hear a sigh and the sound of him putting away his weapon. You looked up and smiled tentatively at his now relaxed face. He slightly smiled back as he reached his hand out to you. You looked at it but willingly put yours in his. He gently pulled you up, but you stumbled into him, your hands resting on his chest as his arms wrapped around you to keep you from falling.
You looked into his light green eyes, almost forgetting to breathe. "Thank you." You whisper.
"You're welcome. The name is Chekov, Pavel Chekov." He looked down into your own (e/c) eyes, his hand absentmindedly moving some of your hair out of your face.
You cleared your throat and stepped back, bowing your head. "My name is (Y/n), first daughter and hair to the Majesty. But you can just call me (Y/n)." You half-smiled, not really wanting him to revere you.
Chekov's eyes grew wide and he scratched the back of his head nervously. "So you know about the sudden feud between my crew and your people?"
"As a matter of fact, I don't. I was hoping you could tell me more about what happened and why you have been left behind. I believe I saw some of your friends speaking to my father's council. Tall man with pointy ears and a beautiful woman with long dark hair."
A smile pulled at Chekov's lips making your insides bubble with warmth. "That would be Commander Spock and Lieutenant Uhura. They are trying to talk things out as my captain and the rest of the crew defend themselves in space."
You nodded your head in understanding. "Yes, I gathered as much. But why? I have been kept in the dark about most of this, that's why I have had to sneak out to find out anything. That is how I found you."
"You may want to it down. It's going to take a while to explain." Chekov gestured to a soft looking mound of cloth and leaves. "Then maybe you can tell me more about your people."
"I would like that."

Chekov didn't know how to get into the story than to just say it out right.
"Your people thought we took you. When they didn't find you aboard our ship, they tried to take others as retribution, but that didn't go so well because I believe your brother attacked our escape pod. Everyone else got beamed up before the transporter was destroyed, that was how I got left here, there was no way to get back. So for a week and a half, I have been surviving on your planet and my crew mates have been trying to prove that we don't have you."
You blushed. So this was all your fault. Had you not felt the need to sneak out, your family would not have worried that these kind strangers would have taken you. "I am so sorry Chekov. This is all my fault." You buried your face in your hands. You then felt his hand on your back as his other lifted your chin to look into his eyes.
"No, I believe it is the pride and worry of a father that we are in this mess."
"So what if I just go and prove to my father that I am not with your friends?"
Chekov nodded in understanding, but he looked worried. "That wouldn't be a bad idea if you wouldn't get caught in the crossfire. Besides, how would you prove to them that you weren't aboard the ship and that they didn't just beam you down?"
You let out a breath. "So what do we do?"
"We wait until Uhura and Spock can calm them down."
"But my father needs to know that I am alive and safe. And that we can be allies with you. You seem like good people Chekov."
Chekov chuckled. "I am flattered you think that but I can't be that good of proof of our kindness."
"You aren't. Though I feel like I have known you for a lot longer than half a day, your friends have come down to talk to get you back instead of just fleeing. Apparently, your species's instincts are not the only reason they have gone through the trouble to get you back; you must mean a lot to them."
Chekov stared at you. You proved a good point. "Yes, they are like my family." He ran his hand through his hair. "No, they are my family."
You smiled and nodded, looking down at your hands. Your family loved you, you knew that, but what you felt with Chekov is something you wish to explore deeper.

Several more days passed as you and Chekov waited for news of the cease-fire. You have contacted your father but that made matters worse, thinking that you were with the Federation's people, despite all you said and did. So you decided to stay with Chekov. The two of you have grown closer and not just hypothetically. The nights are cold and only so many blankets can keep you warm.
One night it was exceptionally cold and Chekov could hear you chattering and feel you shivering next to him. He had noticed that every night you would inch just a little closer, making him smile to himself. So when he saw how cold you were, he felt no hesitation in wrapping his arms around you and pulling you closer. You jumped and about punched him in the face.
"Hey, shhh. It's just me. You looked cold."
You relaxed instantly and let him pull you tighter to him, loving the warmth he gave off. The two of you fell into the deepest sleep either one of you had had in a long time.
What neither of you realized was that the two of you were not alone together...
So I have decided to take a different rout with Chekov. (Yes I'm ganna do a part two my lovelies) Prolly do the happy Romeo and Juliet AU with Jim (coughcoughstargirlhorsecoughcough). So sorry for being on hiatus for a bit there. Work has been crazy! Love you all! You know what to do ;)
