Chapter 26

Nadia's pov

After talking about Dodge City, Dean called us Team Free Will 2.0. Dean went to our room. I followed Dean to our room.

"Dean, you are not serious, are you?" I asked. "Oh I am serious and you are coming with us," Dean said.

"Dean, it's like we're gonna be in a real life Tombstone movie. But I'm not dressing like a Saloon girl," I said.

"Actually, you can dress in something lacy, black with a cowgirl hat," he said. "How about a black cowgirl hat?" I asked.

"Deal," Dean said, smiling. "But I need to buy one and boots," I said. "Well get you one when we get there," he said.

"Dean, try your best not to look too hot with a Bolo tie or act like Kurt Russel," I said. "I can't promise anything," he said, smirking at me.

Dodge City, Kansas

We are into Dodge City, Kansas. We got checked into our motel and saw our suite. Sam, Cas and Jack stayed at the hotel.

Dean and I left the hotel to do some shopping for me. We're looking for something for me to wear for the crime scene.

So far I found a black cowgirl hat and a few outfits. I am showing them to Dean, putting on a fashion show for him.

I tried on some outfits. I came out in a black lace dress with cowgirl boots. "Dean?" I asked, spinning around.

He looks up, smiling. "You look like a cowgirl going to a rodeo," he said. "Is that a good or a bad thing?" I asked, smiling.

"It's a good thing," he said, smiling. "Well I will wear this for you," I said, smiling. "Sounds good," he said.

"And maybe at the Bunker, I'll dress like a Saloon girl for you," I said, smirking. "Oooh sounds good, Nadia Roussell Winchester," he said, smirking back.

He moves us to the fitting room, closing the curtain. "Dean Winchester, you are so bad. What if we get caught?" I asked.

"Who cares? We won't be able to have sex with Jack around," he said. "Well, how about I get out of this outfit, get my clothes back on and you can buy this for me along with the boots and hat. Then we will have a quick one in the car. How does that sound?" I asked.

"Sounds good," he said, kissing me. I kissed him back. "Now, get out and let me get dressed," I whispered.

Dean leaves the fitting room. I closed the curtains.

Next Morning

We're sleeping. Even though I am asleep, I can still hear Jack and Cas talking. I can hear Dean snoring loudly in his sleep.

I turned over onto my right side, wrapping my arm around his waist. I felt his hand grabbing my hand as we stayed asleep.

"Jack, I wouldn't do that," Cas said. Dean quickly pulled his gun out. "Ahhh!" Dean screams, cocking his gun.

I screamed loudly as Dean yelled. I see Dean pointing his gun at Jack. "Dean, it's me," Jack said, holding his hands up.

"Babe, it's just Jack. Cas tried to stop him," I whispered. Dean looks at Jack then Cas. "Oh, hey! Who's making coffee?" Dean asked.

"I should have warned Jack not to wake you. Go back to sleep. I'll make some," I whispered to him, kissing his cheek.

I got up from bed, putting my hoodie on. "Sorry for waking him, Nadia," Jack said. "It's okay, just don't do that again," I said, patting his shoulder.

Jack nodded. I went to the coffee maker, yawning. Dean groaned, sitting on the couch. I grabbed two mugs.

I poured coffee in the mug. I grabbed them both, walking to Dean. "Morning, beautiful," Dean whispers, hugging me.

"Morning, my sexy grizzly bear," I said, giving him a mug. "Thank you," he said, sipping his coffee.

He groaned, sitting down. We kissed each other. I sat next to him. "I told you. He's an angry sleeper," Cas said.

"Is Nadia an angry sleeper too?" Jack asked. I started yawning, rubbing my eyes. "Only if you wake Dean, she's an angry sleeper too," Cas said.

Sam talks about a code of an officer down with bite marks. "Like a zombie," Jack said. "Or anything else that has teeth," Dean said, groaning.

"Possibly a vampire, ghoul, werewolf," I said, taking a sip. "Alright, change of plans, Jack and I will hit the graveyard. Dean, Nadia and Cas hit up the crime scene," Sam said.

"Works for us," Dean said. I nodded, taking a sip. Jack and Sam stood up. Cas did as well. Dean points at his coffee.

"Just give us a moment to wake up," I said to Cas. Cas sat down as we took another sip of our coffee.

Crime Scene

Dean and I got out of the car. He opens my door. I stepped out, putting my hat on. "Cute hat," Dean whispers.

"Thank you. Love the Bolo on you," I whispered, winking at him. Cas rolls his eyes. "You two are adorable," he said, sarcastically.

"Don't be jealous, Cas," Dean said. "Dean, shut up," I said, through my teeth. We walked up to the crime scene.

"Howdy," Cas said. "Who's in charge here?" Dean asked. One of the cops pointed. He bows his head at me.

"Ma'am," he said, with a smile. I adjusted my hat. "I'm married," I said, walking past him. We walked up to them.

"Sheriff Philips?" Dean asked. "Sargent Philips?" I corrected Dean, holding my badge. "Sherriff's on vacation," Sargent Phillips said.

"I'm Agent Delany, my partner, Agent Russell and our associate Agent Kilmer," I said. "What do you three want?" Sargent Phillips asked.

"We heard about the attack over the wire last night. Wondering what you can tell us about the victim," Dean said.

"His name was Deputy Carl Phillips. He's.. was my nephew. Some psycho slit his throat and left the body on the ground for coyotes to chew on. I know that boy since they say he is a day old," Sargent Phillips said.

"We're deeply sorry for your loss," Cas said. I nodded. "So what the hell's two Texas Rangers and a Saloon girl even doing up here?" Sargent Phillips asked.

"We were passing, looking for a fugitive skipping state lines," I said. "A real son of a gun. He's been robbing graves," Dean said.

Sargent looked at us like we were fake rangers. "We got us one of them. Carl was the one looking in on it. You think there's a connection? Sargent asked.

"Could be," Dean and I said, together. "Well you three are more than welcome to poke around, but, I'll catch up with your runner first, there ain't gonna be much left of him to take back to Texas. You can count on it," Sargent said.

Dean looked at me. "Good one, Agent Delany?" Dean asked. "Actress Dana Delany was in Tombstone," I said, smiling.

"Ohh yeah, she was Josephine Marcus. I forgot about her," Dean said. "She was Kurt Russell's love interest as you know," I said.

"Oh I know," he said. "But Kilmer can get rid of the mustache," I said. "Do you think I can pull the mustache?" Dean asked.

"If you get a mustache, I will divorce you in a minute. Cas can pull the mustache better than you," I said.

Back at the Motel

We regrouped, changed out of our regular clothes. I got on a leather outfit. Sam and Jack found leftovers of skulls.

It is definitely a ghoul. Cas told Jack what it was. Now Jack's looking into it on the laptop.

"I think I found something. I tracked the plates on a stolen truck from the crime scene. I went through the city's traffic camera footage. Take a look," Jack paused, moving his laptop.

"This is it. From yesterday, before the deputy was killed," Jack said. We looked at the camera footage.

I played the footage. "Nadia, wait, go back. Who's driving?" Dean asked.

I paused it, rewinding it slowly. "Pause," Dean said.

I paused at the face. "Got ya, gunslinger," I said, chuckling. "Holy shit, yes. It's Dave Mather," Dean said.

"Who?" Sam and Cas asked. "Really, guys? He's a famous gunslinger," I said.

"Cowboy, outlaw. One of the Dodge City gang," he said, walking over to Dave Mather's picture.

"He was one of the greatest gunfighters ever. He died in 1886, which makes this a little weird but Mysterious Dave Mather. I'm gonna get my boots on," Dean said, walking away.

I chuckled softly, smiling. "I remember, he's Athena's Boyfriend," Jack said. "We're gonna go speak to Athena," Sam said.

Later

I stayed at the motel. I hear the door opening. I see the guys returned.

"Did you get him?" I asked. "He got away," Dean said.

"I accidently killed a bank guard," Jack said, holding me. I held him. "It was an accident," Cas said.

"Accidents happen," I whispered. Cas, Sam and Dean talked privately, while I sat next to Jack.

I looked over at the guys, they talked about a plan. "Alright, you two should get Jack back to the Bunker?" Dean said.

"What?" Sam asked. "The cops are gonna be on their way. We gotta get him out of town," Dean said.

"What about the Ghoul, I can stay here," Cas said. "No, Nadia and I'll handle it. Besides, you need to be with the kid in case.. you know," Dean said to Cas.

Cas looked at Dean, nodding. Cas walks over towards us.

I stood up. "You gonna take him back to the Bunker?" I asked.

"Sam and I are. You are gonna help Dean," Cas said. I nodded.

"You watch out for him. He regrets hurting the guard," I said. "I will. See you at the Bunker," Cas said.

I patted Cas's back. Sam walks over. "Hope you two get that ghoul," Sam told me.

I nodded, sighing. Sam walked away. Dean walks over to me. "Hey," I said.

"Hey. They're going back to the Bunker with Jack to keep him safe," Dean said. "Should I go back with them? I think you can do this on your own," I said.

"No, I need you. Just in case Mathers tries to bite me," he said. "We got everything," Sam said.

"Okay, see you guys later," Dean said. Cas nodded. Jack looked at me.

"Nadia, I didn't mean to hurt the security guy," he said. "Accidents happen all the time. I left a giant claw mark on a girl who bullied me," I said.

Jack looked at me. "Really?" Jack asked.

"Yes, she still has the scar on her face. That's what she got for bullying me and calling me names," I said. Jack nodded.

"Well, will I be okay?" he asked. "You'll be okay. Cas and Sam will keep you safe," I whispered.

Jack nodded, hugging me. I hugged him back, patting his back.

They end up leaving. The door shuts. Dean and I went to pack our stuff.

We got the weapons bag, Dean grabs a gun. "Let's go," Dean said.

"How were we gonna get there?" I asked. "Do what we always do. Hijack a car," he said.

"Ohh right. I forgot. I should've brought my Bliss with me," I said. "I agree. Do that next time we have a hunt together as a couple," he said.

I nodded. Dean and I leave the motel, leaving a tip.
