Chapter Five

"Woah! What are you talking about?" I asked nervously, stepping away from the King. What was he on about?
"You are my daughter. You were lost and now you are found," he said joyfully. A puzzled look was glued to my face, so King Joseph decided to explain. "You may want to sit down. This is a long story," he assured me. We entered the room I had woken up in, taking a seat in some chairs scattered around the room.
"When you were very little, a wizard came in to put a protection spell on you. He then told us that you were going to be very powerful and strong, you had the gift of shadows and light and any power you could think of! At that time we were at war with the Day. We still are. But the queen overheard and knew that when you grew up, they would lose the war because of your power. So she decided to steal and raise you to become a Day princess, but we wouldn't allow that and blocked you from going over to the Day kingdom. The queen then brought you to earth to raise you there."
"Wait! Does that mean my "mom" is this – this evil queen?" I asked.
"Yes! Indeed it does. She also knew that if you ever went outside during the night, you would see the message we had planned to give you. All those years we were worried that you would turn over to the Day. But you never did," my dad said with a tears of joy, a smile fixed firmly on his face.
"Really? I can't believe this. I have a family! I have a sister, a dad and a mom," I said, happily hugging myself. I couldn't help it and started hugging my father. To my surprise, he hugged me back.
"Now come on. We have your room set up, you'll love it. Twilight designed it," father said.

My father showed me to a room with a large, dark oak door. I opened the door and stepped inside. The room was almost as big as my old home. The walls were purple with silver stars covering the walls. A massive canopy bed sat in the corner. Thick, blue velvet blankets sat on top of its silver comforter. A walk-in closet half the size of the room came in front of it. A balcony next to my bed oversaw the entire kingdom. But what made me mouth hang open was the wall that was lined with bookshelves. A fireplace sat in front of it with a big chair next to it.
At the foot of my bed was on old chest. I ran over to open it and lots of maps and journals sat inside of it. On the top of it was a silver chain necklace. A moon charm hung from the end of it and a star was cradled in the center. Underneath it all was a wedding dress and a very detailed tiara. "It's yours, for when you find that lucky man. It was your grandmothers. Twilight has your mothers, but I thought you would like this one better." Father said, putting a hand on my shoulder.
"I love it," I whispered – it was all I could get out of my mouth. My exhaustion managed to overcome my awe. "But I'm exhausted, I'm going to get some shut eye."
"Fine with me," he said, walking out of my new room after a final squeeze to my shoulder.
I went over to the closet to get a nightgown out. The entire room was filled with beautiful ball gowns that I was so excited to wear. I finally found a grey nightgown that had moons and stars covering the bottom. I threw it on, climbed into the massive bed and fell asleep.
