I Think It's A Sign

Ryan and Brendon were sitting on the couch of Ryan's living room, watching marathons of shitty movies that Brendon had brought over. Ryan was laying on the couch, his legs on top of the younger boy's lap. Currently, the movie Batman and Robin was on the TV, and they were both laughing their asses off at George Clooney's acting.

Brendon jerked his head towards the laying down boy, who's face was red from laughing and tears were streaming down his face. "Ryan, I'm hungry but I don't want to moooove," the boy complained.

Ryan groaned and swung his legs off his best friend's lap and stood up, "Pause the movie, I'll go get chips," he told him. Brendon nodded and picked up the remote, hitting the pause button and sprawling himself out on the couch.

The older boy strut into the kitchen and reached into the cabinet, grabbing a bag of plain potato chips. He then opened the fridge and grabbed two cans of Coke.

He shut the refrigerator door using his hip and then quickly went back into the living room. Ryan threw the can in his left hand to Brendon, muttering out a quick "catch!" when it was mid air. Brendon looked up just in time and caught the flying, red can.

Ryan jumping onto the couch and sat upright next to the younger boy. Brendon turned the can around to the label on the back and gasped, which was then followed by a giggle.

Brendon tackled Ryan, pinning him down to the couch and shoving the can in front of Ryan's face. "Ryan," he whispered, "you see that? 'Share a Coke with your soulmate'? It's a sign!" Brendon laughed, but at the same time was completely serious.

Ryan wiggled under Brendon's hold, "Jesus Christ, Brendon, are you okay?"

"Look at it Ryan!" He pressed the cold Coke to Ryan's forehead, then bringing it down to his eyes, "Soulmate. Soul. Mate. Do you not understand what that means? It's a sign!" He shouted.

Ryan rolled his eyes at his ridiculous best friend, until Brendon shouted, "What does your label say?"

Ryan sighed, pushing Brendon off him and picking up his can off the coffee table. "Mine says share a Coke with...." Ryan stopped. Brendon took the can out of Ryan's hand before he could finish.

Brendon shouted, then pinned Ryan back down on the couch, "Yours says soulmate as well! It's meant to be!"

"Bren, it's two can of soda-" Ryan tried to tell Brendon, who was still not having it. The younger boy cut him off by pushing his lips against Ryan's, molding them together for a few seconds. Brendon pulled his lips off of Ryan's and kissed his neck quickly.

Brendon leaned down to Ryan's ear and whispered, "Soulmates...."

Ryan stretched up and whispered in Brendon's ear, "You're missing the movie."
