[Link]

Our boi is back.
So thanks to 'Loz: Breath of the Wild' you Linkles and Linkettes get a Link one shot.

Note I: I'm using the newest Link because that Link is just...gosh yes.
Note II: this is based off BotW, so don't go pointing out that 'that's not how it goes!' Or 'that's wrong!'
Note III: I'll portray Link like this now if you don't mind.

...Breath...

...Feel...

...Hear...

A pair of eyes flew open only to get blinded by the sun filtering through the rustling leaves of a tree that acted as your shade from the harsh heat.

The (ravenette, blonde, brunette, ginger etc.) sat up and rubbed her eyes.

She could feel the grass under her.
Long green grass that smelled of fresh dew and soil.
The smell burned through your nostrils.

You tilted your head up to look at the leaves swaying in the wind above you, the afternoon sun was as harsh as ever.
Yet, the sky was full of cumulus clouds, though it doesn't look like it'll rain soon.
Turning your head left and right, you slowly took in your surroundings.
Grassy field, some woods, and a single dirt pathway that led to the goddesses knows where.

"Oh...you're awake..."
You turned to face the hylian man.

Link's hair had been let down for the afternoon nap the two of you shared, his hair reaching his shoulders. It was probably time for a haircut.

His plain blue shirt was wrinkled and had pieces of grass on it but that didn't seem to bother him.
Here, in the wild, Link was at home.

He was still as quiet as ever.

A loud yawn escaped your mouth, with a sigh you rest your back on the trunk of the tree.
Funny how there wasn't a single animal or sound around here.
It was peaceful, silent, and calming; it gave a gentle vibe.

The dairy bar was bustling with business again.
And as always, the bar was extremely noisy and hectic.
The dairy bar sold milk and cheese dishes; no brainer, but the cafe was known for it's milk. Rich, creamy, pleasant, and gentle on the tongue.

On normal weekdays, she was a waitress. And because she usually worked mornings to afternoons, she often met with their usual customer; Link.

The blonde often came to take a few cups of milk and buy a bulk for his constant adventures out in the open.
He would, too, constantly stop by to rest and put up small conversations with you.

"Hey, isn't it hectic? Always rushing about?" Link asked one day.
[Y/n] shrugged in reply, pouring him his cup of milk.

"It is, but it's my life."

Link drummed his fingers on the counter and hummed in response.
"Do you prefer somewhere peaceful?"
"I do. Though, nowadays, everything is in motion" you say handing him his milk.
Link nodded on agreement, he brought the rim of the bottle to his lips and took small sips. "it's good to appreciate still life."
"I would love to go to a place like that."
"I could take you to a place out in the wild; where life is still and it's quiet there too."

Out in the wild...
Out of the city...

And here you were, back into the present.
The 'place' Link mentioned was a grassy field far from the city and near the woods.

"It's getting late."
You pick up your book from your side "I enjoyed it, for once, almost nothing is moving."

Link nodded and helped you pack up your books and placed them all in your leather satchel.

With a groan and a harmony of cracks and pops, your arms and legs were forced from their resting state. As you stretched, the wind caught your (h/l) hair.

Link did a few warm ups before bringing his fingers to his lips and gave a sharp whistle.
A bay horse came into view and Link immediately mounted it. He grabbed your hand and helped you up.

You wrapped your hands around his waist and gripped tightly as he nudged the horse to move.

At first, it was a slow trot which turned into a full gallop.
As your hair flew behind you, you felt drowsy and rested your cheek on Link's back which made the male stiffen.

As he slowed down the horse, he took a quick glance behind him to see [Y/n]'s cheek pressed against his back, her form was still which probably meant she was asleep.

Link looked over the horizon and sighed; it was a long way home.
Gently (and carefully) he pressed a chaste kiss on her exposed forehead but nudging the horse to go faster.

"I really wish people would stop and stay still for a moment, people are always rushing about nowadays."
Link continued to listen to [Y/n] complaints of the world. He rested his head on his arm carefully so that the glass of milk wouldn't spill.

"Nobody really stops for a moment to take in their surroundings anymore."

"You're really lucky your strong enough to exit the city by yourself, it must be fun exploring the vast lands at your own pace isn't it?"
Link perked up from his arm and stared into your eyes before nodding.

He heard [Y/n] huff a little "you barely talk, I almost never hear your voice."

Link pretended not to hear that.

"I guess that's why I enjoy your company a lot. You're silent and serene, makes the world move a little slower."
Link's bright, blue eyes lit up slightly and his cheeks lit up a pale pink.

"When I'm with you...I feel like the world stops and stays still, it stops rushing about."
At that point, Link's eyes flickered to the untouched milk. He was getting flustered, he hope he didn't show it.

"Haha, are you getting flustered?"
He shut his eyes and but his lip. Caught.

"Sorry, my mouth tends to run."
He shook his head and propped his chin on his hand staring at her admiringly.

He lifted his head a little when he saw her head snap at another direction.
She sighed "sorry, another customer is calling."

He watched disappointedly as she left.
He grabbed the bottle of milk and left the amount of rupees needed before walking out the door.
