🐿️Chapter-22🐿️

Wendy felt her breath catch in her throat at Hoseok's request. The room seemed to hold its breath, the weight of his words hanging in the air. She glanced at Yoongi, whose expression mirrored the shock and hope she felt bubbling up inside her.
"Live together... again?" Wendy repeated, her voice barely above a whisper. It was as if her mind couldn't fully grasp the enormity of what her son was asking.
Hoseok nodded, his eyes pleading. "Mumma, I know things haven't been easy, and I know that Dad made mistakes—big ones—but I believe that if we all try, really try, we can be a family again. The way we were before everything fell apart."
Wendy looked into her son's eyes, seeing the sincerity and the desperation there. He wasn't just asking for himself—he was asking for all of them, for Jimin, for YN, and even for Yoongi.
"Son, it's not that simple," Wendy started, trying to keep her voice steady. "There's so much hurt, so much pain. We can't just go back to how things were. It doesn't work that way."
Hoseok stepped closer, taking her hands in his. "I know, Mumma. But we can start fresh. We can build something new, something stronger. Please, give it a chance. For us, for YN, for all of us."
Wendy's heart ached with the desire to give her children the family they deserved, but the wounds were still fresh, the trust still fragile. She looked over at Yoongi, who stood silently, his eyes filled with regret and hope. Could she really take that leap again?
Jimin, who had been quietly listening, finally spoke up. "Mom, Hobi Hobi's right. We’ve been apart for so long, and it’s been hard. But I think we’re all ready to try again. We need to try again."
YN, who had been silently wrestling with her own emotions, wiped away her tears and looked at her mother. "I don’t know if I’m ready to forgive everything, but... I do miss us. I miss having a family. Maybe we could try, just... see if it works."
Wendy’s eyes welled up with tears as she looked at her children, their faces filled with hope and a longing for something better. She turned to Yoongi, who was watching her with bated breath, waiting for her answer.
"I don’t know if we can ever go back to what we were," Wendy said slowly, her voice trembling. "But maybe, just maybe, we can find a way forward together. It won’t be easy, and it will take time. But if all of you are willing to try, then I’m willing too."
Yoongi’s eyes filled with tears as he took a step forward. "Wendy, I promise I’ll do whatever it takes to make this work. I won’t let you down again. I swear it."
Wendy nodded, her heart pounding with a mixture of fear and hope. "Then we take it one day at a time. We try to rebuild this family, piece by piece. But know this, Yoongi—if you ever hurt our kids again, there will be no second chances."
Yoongi nodded, his voice thick with emotion. "I understand. And I’ll prove to you, to all of you, that I’m here to stay."
The room was silent for a moment, the gravity of their decision settling over them. It was a fragile truce, a tentative step towards healing, but it was a step nonetheless.
Hoseok hugged Wendy tightly, his voice filled with relief. "Thank you, Mumma. Thank you for giving us a chance."
Jimin joined the hug, wrapping his arms around his mother and brother, and YN hesitated for a moment before stepping forward and joining them, her heart still heavy but her resolve beginning to soften.
Yoongi watched them, his heart swelling with emotion. He knew that the road ahead would be difficult, but in that moment, surrounded by his family, he felt something he hadn’t felt in years—hope.
Just as they all started to relax, feeling a tiny bit of relief, a loud knock echoed through the house. They all turned towards the door, startled by the sudden interruption.
Jimin frowned, "Who could that be?"
Hoseok moved to open the door, and when he did, they were all met with a two females. Hoseok immediately hugged them.
Jimin and YN also didn't wasted any time and hugged them, while Yoongi and Wendy looked at them with a smile.
"Jennie, Lisa. You are back?" Wendy said as her kids left them.
"We missed you Noona," Jimin and Hoseok said at the same time and looked at each other amused.
"Atleast let us come in," Jennie said with a chuckle.
"Oh right. Come in, come in," YN said gesturing them to step inside.
Jennie and Lisa stepped inside, their smiles lighting up the room. Wendy closed the door behind them, feeling a wave of warmth at the sight of her children so happy. It had been a long time since the house felt so full of life.
Jennie looked around, taking in the familiar surroundings. "It's been so long since we've been here. Everything looks the same Wendy Aunt."
Lisa nodded, her eyes softening with nostalgia. "Yeah, nothing's changed."
Wendy gave a small smile, "We’ve kept things pretty much the way they were."
Jimin led them all to the living room, where everyone found a place to sit. There was an easy comfort between them, the kind that only comes with years of close relation. It was clear that Jennie and Lisa had been a big part of the family’s life before everything fell apart. and they had.
"So, when did you both came? Appa told me you aren't coming anytime soon," Hoseok asked.
Lisa smiled, "It was a lie. We wanted to surprise everyone so we lied saying our shoot is still left,"
Jennie chuckled, nodding along. "Yeah, we couldn’t resist. We missed you all so much, and with everything going on, we knew we had to be here."
Wendy, sitting beside YN, felt a wave of warmth as she listened to the banter. For the first time in a long while, the house felt alive, filled with the laughter and love that had been missing for so many years.
"Well, you definitely surprised us," Jimin said with a grin. "But it’s a good surprise. Things have been... tense around here lately."
YN, who had been quiet since Jennie and Lisa arrived, finally spoke up, her voice soft. "I’m really glad you both are here. I needed this—just some normalcy, you know?"
Jennie’s smile softened, and she reached over to gently squeeze YN’s hand. "We’re here for you, YN-ie. Whatever you need, we’re not going anywhere."
Lisa nodded in agreement, her eyes filled with sincerity. "Exactly. We’re all in this together."
Wendy watched her children and their friends, feeling a glimmer of hope. Maybe with time and the support of those who cared about them, they could start to heal.
"Dad told us everything before we came here... So, how did your talk went? Are you guys... Giving each other and the family another chance?" Lisa asked suddenly getting serious.
Wendy and Yoongi looked at each and then at the girls before giving a small nod.
Wendy spoke, "Yes. I decided to give Yoongi another chance cause... I can see," she paused and looked at Yoongi again before speaking again, "he regrets everything he's done six years ago"
Yoongi, who was looking down looked up and saw Wendy still staring at him. He was happy. Happy that atleast Wendy accepts that he is regretting everything.
Is this their first step to get back their family?
