"She reminded me that life goes on, even when we lose someone we love"

It's been 10 minutes since they were driving. He turned down the music and questions, "How far away is the place?"

"It's... pretty close, you'll love it, don't worry" replied Nicky, focusing on driving. She looks at him as he watches outside the window. Nicky smiles a little knowing she will be able to help him.

Nicky hums the song that was playing, taping her fingers along with it. Issac wipes his tears, his mood changing. Soon enough, they both were singing at the top of their lungs, he began to feel better already.

Turning the car off, she opened the door walking over to his side "Close your eyes and wait till I help you out"

Nodding he took her hand, stepping onto some concrete. Hearing distant sounds of children laughing and a water fountain.

"3...2...1, Ta da!" uncovering his eyes as they stood beside each other. Looking around he realized where she had taken him.

"How did you know about this place?" Issac asked slightly confused. Old memories once again started to flood his mind.

Laughing Nicky replied, "Because Jess said that you loved going here. And well Jess and I used to come here every month."

She was right, one of their favorite spots was Pirate Adventure Mini Golf.

"Right now I'm winning love, you better catch up" joked Issac.

Rolling her eyes at him, she put the ball towards the hole, bouncing off a few rocks and down into a stream. Disappearing underneath some more rocks, rolling faster and faster.

"Can we hit it there?" he replied watching the ball.

A few seconds later her yellow golf ball rolled into the hole. Jumping up and down she celebrated with a happy dance as he stood in disbelief.

"What were you saying honey?" teased Jess still over the moon, giggling and making faces at him.

"Are you there?" spoke Nicky, waving her hand in front of him.

Snapping back he saw a few people looking, "Yeah sorry I'm here."

Entering the property, a large waterfall cascaded by the boat-themed shack.

"Hi, round for two please," Nicky said to the employee.

Paying with ease they grabbed their clubs and balls, yellow and pink.

"I've never played this before, actually," Nicky said, her voice wavering due to nervousness. Issac gave her a small smile.

"I will teach you then," Isaac says with a tight-lipped smile. He was really grateful for her efforts but coming to this place only brought those sweet old memories. Issac is a very emotional person, especially when it comes to love.

His girlfriend, Jess was his everything. Even though they were not in a very long relationship, he was very attached to her and wanted to have a future with her but God had other plans, plans that he was not ready to accept...yet. 

"Issac?" Nicky says loudly, snapping him out of his thoughts. She have been calling his name for a minute now but when she noticed how he didn't respond, she looked at him only to find him lost in his thoughts.

"Huh?" Issac says with a frown. Nicky shakes her head disapprovingly but says nothing. 

 Issac looked down, feeling guilty. She was doing so many efforts to distract him, to take him out of his miserable state but Issac was not cooperating which was understandable and hence Nicky said nothing.
