Chapter 4: Visit.

A/N: I apologise for any spelling mistakes I make.

3rd POV: Susan Storm, A.K.A, the invisible woman, looked out of the baxter building window towards the streets of New York. The once amazing city has now become a place that has bred mistrust and hatred between the people and the superhero community, more specifically, those that supported the superhero registration act.

When Spiderman released the classified information that he stole from Iron Man's servers, the people had begun to lose trust in the registration act and the government, and they made sure they showed it. At first, it was simply cursing at the pro registrationers, throwing stuff at them, and vandalising, but over time, it started to get worse. People were soon blocking the paths of S.H.I.E.L.D convoys, throwing things at their vehicles, going in groups to harass and attempting to attack other pro registration heroes and villains, clashing with people who supported the registration act, and attempting to destroy and raid anything that supports the registration act, heroes and villains. Chaos was practically seen every day, and it got so bad that S.H.I.E.L.D was ordered by the government to send as many down to New York and contain and control the chaos. Maria Hill, the director of S.H.I.E.L.D, sent a few forces to keep the peace and her strict orders to her people were that they were to only protect the pro registration's interests and keep the citizens from causing any more damage and possibly harming themselves or others.

This intervention only halted a few people from going out of their way to cause trouble, but it didn't stop some of the insistent ones from trying.

The next issue was assigning someone to lead the registration act since Iron Man was killed. Sue was disinterested in being the leader as she never fully stood with the registration act and only signed because everyone in the fantastic four did, and because after Peter released all that info, she had lost trust with the registration act and with Reed. Eventually, the government decided to assign Reed Richards and Hank Pym to Co lead the registration act and, much to the shock of many, had the added bonus of having full control of S.H.I.E.L.D, much to director Hill's ire.

From there, things went from bad to worse. Both Richards and Pym had S.H.I.E.L.D descend upon the streets of New York and put the city under heavy lockdown. Scout drone patrol routes were increased to cover the entire city instead of their usual routes, S.H.I.E.L.D soldiers patrolled the streets and threatened and arrested anyone that looked suspicious, heavily armoured convoys escorted anti registration sympathisers to different secured prisons where they would be held there until the civil war was resolved, checkpoints and lookouts were set up around key areas of the city, constantly being vigilant for any possible activity and many raids were conducted at random points on innocent civillians and businesses and the superheroes and villains remained in the avengers tower relaxing like nothing is going wrong or that what Reed and Pym had ordered S.H.I.E.L.D to do was wrong.

At this point, all the people of New York ceased any attempts of attacking the pro registration and were left to live in fear of the possibility of being targeted by the pro registration.

But not everyone was ok with the way things were going.

After a few weeks of Spiderman's imprisonment, a small group rose in the shadows and began to attack agasint They couldn't be identified, but at every scene they were at, they left their symbol, more specifically the spider symbol that's on Spiderman's black suit.

Susan Storm had no idea what this group named themselves and why they used Spiderman's symbol, but it was safe to say that a small 3rd party had joined the civil war and their enemy was the pro registration.

In other news, after Captain America and his side attacked the quantum prison and freed everyone in it and destroyed the prison, they had gone quiet, their activities dwindling before diminishing completely. Sue believed that it was because of the high presence of S.H.I.E.L.D in New York and that after freeing everyone from the quantum prison, the pro registration was gunning for Steve Rodgers and his group.

Susan Storm sighed before moving to sit on her couch and rubbing her fingers on her temple.

'This is getting out of hand.' Sue thought, exhaustion running through her. She lets out another sigh as she looks around the living room before her eyes land on a picture. Invisible woman stood up from the sofa and walked towards the image and picked it up to get a good long look at it.

In the picture, it was herself, Peter and johny. It was taken at the baxter building garden with her brother on her left and Peter on her right. Her arms were wrapped around both boys' shoulders with johny leaning his head on top of hers with Peter wrapping an arm around her shoulders, and all 3 of them were smiling. Sue's shoulders sagged as she stared at the smiling face of Peter Parker, comparing the one in the picture to the one she saw at the warehouse after he killed stark and then gently stroked the picture of Peter's face.

"Peter...." invisible woman whispered out, tears building at the corner of her eyes, remembering the fond memories that she had of the wallcrawler before she reigned her emotions in and quickly wiped the tears away.

The door to Reed's lab opened up, and Mister Fantastic stepped out and removed his lab coat and absently tossed it away, aiming for a nearby table, but it ended up on the floor.

"Where are you going?" Susan asked, slightly annoyed at Reed before using her powers to create a bubble around the lab coat and hung it on a nearby hanger.

"Avengers tower. Pym and I are working on rebuilding the quantum prison after Rodgers broke into it and blew it up." Reed said, heading to the door. "I'll be staying at the tower for a little while working with him on it." The stretchy hero said before opening the door. "I'll be back in a few days." Mr. Fantastic said, closing the door before Susan Storm could get a word in.

A low growl erupted in the invisible hero's throat before she let out a sigh and paced back and forth her living room. She needed someone to talk to and but the problem was that it was basically impossible to do so as a lot of her friends are either in hiding, in prison, or are doing something else.

Susan storm then paused in her pacing and turned back to the picture that she had left in its original location and stared at the image of Peter Parker once again for a moment and a metaphorical lightbulb lit up above her head. Why couldn't she see Peter? He was her best guy friend in the world and was always offering to lend an ear to her when she wanted to just speak her mind or vent her anger out and vice versa. Plus, she really missed her friend and wanted to see how he was holding up.

With that thought in mind, Sue went to Reed's lab and accessed his monitor, taking advantage of the fact that Reed gave her high clearance in regards to the pro registration servers. After searching various files, reports, and notes, the invisible woman got the location of Spiderman and went out to the balcony, and jumped before creating an invisible platform under her feet and took off to the triskellion.

(Mini timeskip)

Invisible woman slowly descended down to the entrance of the triskellion, spotting various heroes, villains, and S.H.I.E.L.D walking around or doing their own little activity. A S.H.I.E.L.D agent walking to the entrance caught her eye, and she quickly made herself invisible and followed closely behind the S.H.I.E.L.D agent. The doors opened up, and Sue slipped past the agent and went through the doors, ignoring the agent turning to look behind him as he felt the wind shift around him.

The female member of the fantastic four traversed the many halls of the triskellion, being careful not crash into anyone and avoiding heat seeking cameras and traps. After going up a couple of floors, she finally made it to the floor that peter was on. Cautiously traversing the many halls, Sue eventually reached her destination and spotted Spiderman, who seemed to be having a civilised conversation with the red-headed avenger, Black widow. She had no clue what was being said, but it seemed to be a somewhat decent talk between the 2 heroes, but eventually, natasha had to left spiderman, giving a farewell before she was out of sight.

Peter walked back to his bed and sat down on it, his elbows on his knees and his hands interlocked and covering his mouth. Before Sue could take 2 steps towards him, Peter's head snapped to where she was standing, and the invisible woman froze in place as the eyes of her best friend narrowed in her direction before the glare softened and a smirk appeared on Peter's face.

"You gonna show yourself, Sue? I'm pretty sure we're the only ones here." Peter called out, his smile getting a tad wider as the empty air shivered before revealing the form of the invisible woman, her face breaking out into a smile as she walked towards his cell, stopping inches from the door separating them. "How'd you find me? I highly doubt Reed told you." The spider hero asked.

"He didn't." Susan confirmed. "I accessed the monitor in his lab." She said, at seeing Peter's eyebrow raised, she explained it a bit more. "He gave me a higher clearance level, so I'm able to see a bit more behind the closed doors than others." The invisible hero said before placing her hand on the door. "I really missed you, Peter." Mrs fantastic said, staring into the eyes of her friend, her smile becoming tender as Peter places his hand on the door in the same location hers is in.

"I missed you too, Sue." Peter said. "Why don't we spend a little time catching up? The guards rotate every 1 hour, and since Widow just left, we've got that hour to just catch up." The wallcrawler explained, removing his hand from the door with sue doing the same. "Talk to me Sue, you look like you have a lot to say, and I'm all ears." Pete said, all of his attention focused solely on his fellow hero.

"I...." Susan Storm paused, trying to put her thoughts in order, a number of topics coming up, but she was undecided on which to pick. "I don't exactly know where to start." She admitted.

"Just talk about the first thing that comes to mind, and we'll go from there." Peter suggested, and Sue nodded her head.

And so, the 2 friends began to catch up about the recent events and talk about how the other was doing.

Unaware of the 3rd party listening to their conversion....

And unaware of the 3rd group that had joined the civil war planning their next move.

(Meanwhile, in New York City)

At a S.H.I.E.L.D outpost, gunfire erupted as multiple agents attempted to attack and capture an intruder, but they were too quick, evading their hail bullets that went their way and thinning their numbers one by one. Eventually, only one agent remained standing whilst the rest were out for the count. Said S.H.I.E.L.D agent kept turning around, tensing at every little sound and pointing his weapon in the direction it came from.

Not realising that someone quietly dropped down behind them and slowly stood to their full height until it was too late.

2 hand wrapped around the agent's neck and pulled them down to the ground, before he could let out a scream, he was punched in the face, the blow making his head smash agasint the ground and slightly crack it. He wasn't getting up from that.

The attacker stood up, looked around at the downed bodies, and stepped over the agent they defeated and headed to her objective, a briefcase containing a key card and the latest model of the mini arc reactor. The attacker then put a hand to their ear and tapped on their earpiece.

"I've got the key card and arc reactor." They said, staring at the miniature reactor in their hand with slight hate. "I'm heading to Avengers Tower now, I'll call back once I got what I need." They advised before ending the call and leaving the outpost.

By the time S.H.I.E.L.D found out about the attack on one of their outposts, the attacker was far away from the outpost and making their way to their next destination.

A/N: another chapter out. I had to scratch my head on this one, but hopefully, the next chapter will be interesting, but we'll see.
