Y/N's P.O.V

I'm now back at home in my bedroom.

And I'm crawling over the wall/ceiling.

I then drop down to the floor.

Y/N: Man, this is so cool.

There's a knock at the door.

Lauren: Y/N, it's time for dinner.

Y/N: Yeah, okay.

So, I haven't told mum about my powers as I want to tell her and dad together.

I leave my bedroom and head to the kitchen.

Y/N: Hey, mum.

Lauren: Hey, baby.

She sits at the table and I sit infront of her.

Y/N: Where's dad?

Ben: I'm right here.

We look over to see dad come in.

He then comes over and sits with us.

Ben: I'm just glad I wasn't late for dinner tonight.

Lauren: You and me both.

Ben: So, how was your day, Y/N?

Y/N: Really good, actually. I have something to tell you guys.

Lauren: Okay.

Ben: What is it?

I smile.

Y/N: I've got my powers now.

Lauren: What?

Ben: Are you sure?

Y/N: Yeah, take a look.

I stand up and move away.

After that I jump up and stick to the ceiling.

I look down at them.

Y/N: See.

Ben: You have got your powers.

I drop down and join them back at the table.

Lauren: This is amazing.

Ben: Now, it's time for you to start your training.

I smile.

Y/N: Really?

Ben: Oh, yeah. We're up bright and early tomorrow, son. Make sure you get alot of sleep.

Y/N: I will.

Lauren: So, how'd it happen? How'd your powers come through?

Y/N: Right. So, I was on my way home and I went to cross the street, next thing I know this car is speeding towards me. I just jumped up into the air. Next thing I know I'm stuck to the side of a building.

Ben: Really? And no-one.

Y/N: Don't worry, dad. No-one saw me, I promise.

Ben: Okay, good. I'm just glad you didn't get hurt.

Lauren: We both are.

We continue to talk as we eat dinner.

(The next day)

I slowly open my eyes and roll around in bed.

My eyes widen when I realise it's the next day.

I jump up and out of bed. 

Y/N: It's time for training.

Just then dad knocks on the door and comes in wearing his suit.

Ben: Hey, kiddo. You ready for training?

Y/N: Oh, yeah. Just let me change first.

Ben: Alright. I'll wait downstairs for ya.

Y/N: Okay.

He then leaves the room as I get changed.

(One hour later)

Dad and I are now top of the Crystler Building.

He's given me his original web shooters and an old mask to cover my face.

Dad and I look to each other.

Ben: You ready, son?

I look down at the web shooters.

Y/N: Yeah. The web shooters are a little tight though.

Ben: There supposed to be. You'll get used to it.

Y/N: Right.

Ben: Just try and keep up.

Dad jumps off and starts web swinging.

I sigh.

Y/N: Okay, okay. Here we go.

I jump off the the building and fall.

Y/N: Aaahhhhh!!!!!

I quickly fire a web line and swing forward.

Ben: Come on, kiddo! Just let go and swing. Be in the moment!

Y/N: Okay, okay!

I fire another web line to swing and avoid a building.

I manage to get the hang of it and start catching up to dad.

Y/N: Hahaha! Dad, I'm doing it!

Ben: Yeah, you're doing it! Nice!

Dad and I start swinging together.

Ben: You're a natural. Double tap to release and thwip it out again.

Y/N & Ben: Thwip and release. Thwip and release!

After a few minutes dad and I land on a rooftop.

He's now gonna teach me how to fight.

Ben: Alright. When it comes to fighting you have to remember to keep your strength in check. As a Spider our strength is on a whole different level.

Y/N: Okay.

Ben: And that means we could potentially kill a normal criminal if we punch them.

Y/N: So, I gotta be careful. Got it.

Ben: That's right. Now, I want you to punch me.

Y/N: Really?

Ben: Oh, yeah. Go for it. Hit me.

Y/N: Okay.

I throw a few punches at dad, but I miss.

Ben: Ah, you've almost got it. You gotta do it more like this.

Dad throws a punch at me and drops me.

I gasp as he knocked the wind out of me.

Y/N: Whoa....

I'm just glad I don't need my inhaler anymore.

Ben: Y/N, you okay?

Y/N: Yeah...

Ben: I'm sorry, kiddo. But you need to learn. Your bad guys won't hold back.

(Forty-five minutes later)

We've now come home and walk through the front door.

Mum comes over to us.

Lauren: Hey, boys. How was training?

Y/N: I don't wanna talk about it.

I go upstairs and go into my room, but I leave the door open to hear them talk.

Lauren: Ben, what happened out there?

Dad sighs.

Ben: I may have pushed him a little too hard.

Lauren: Yeah, I can see that.

Ben: I just want him to be ready, honey. Back my Earth I didn't have anyone to show me how to use my powers and I made mistakes.

Lauren: I get it.

Ben: I just don't want him to make the same mistakes I did.

Lauren: Neither do I. But if you push him too hard, you may lose him.

Ben: Maybe I shouldn't train him. Maybe his life would be easier if he doesn't become a hero at all.

I sigh and slam the door shut.

Y/N: Great. My own dad doesn't believe in me.

But that's fine.

If he won't train me, then I'll do this hero thing myself.

I'll learn how to be the hero the hard way.
