Rune's POV

"What?! Gold is fossilized unicorn shit!" Amira yapped the black satyr it a pigeon then devoured him, "Mmmm... Swagmarr tastes delicious!"

Swagmarr told Amira the truth and paid with his life. Rune slapped her paw on her forehead. Now who would provide comic relief?

"Rune," Queen Ivy called to her kitten.

Rune snuggled up on her lap. Mothfeather's body had been removed. Rune tasted the air. Cinderleaf! Wait, its the Faery Hunter whose snick-snoot she booped in the forest. She growled. His scent seemed off.

Cinderleaf appeared behind her was a... "Daemon!" Someone yelled.

As expected a huge gasp rose from the crowd.

"This is what killed Queen Mothfeather!" Cinderleaf announced.

There was a long pause.

"Ruler!" Someone shouted.

"I guess we dub thee King Swiftblade!"

They chanted his name as Cinderleaf went to her godmother Queen Ivy who hugged and comforted her.
