SEOKJIN KIM BRUSHES long fingers against strands of his hair, keeping his part in place. he crosses one leg over the other, foot drawing circles in the air. his bottom lip juts out as he blows air out his mouth.

his right hand moves over his left arm, shifting his jacket higher to reveal a gold watch. he still has about twenty five minutes till his meeting with the director. seokjin is the type to show up earlier than planned, which is ironic because he doesn't exactly like waiting. but he hates tardiness even more.

his manager promised to arrive in ten minutes. which means that he actually would. kaleb bryce is a man who always keeps his word. if he says he is going to do something, rest assured he would.

it is one of the reasons seokjin likes the man so much and why he has remained the actor's trusted manager. people like him are simply hard to find.

his fingers tap a beat against the cool glass table in anticipation. he reaches for the cup of coffee he was offered earlier by a very perky assistant. she was very nice after gushing about how big of a fan she is.

of course, seokjin had flashed her his charming smile and the girl nearly swooned in delight. at some point, he was worried that she might be sick with how red she turned. and when he asked if she was alright, anyone who saw her at that moment would have thought she descended from tomatoes.

he was somehow able to talk himself out of that awful waiting room of the studio that made him feel like he was waiting to see his doctor – that did nothing to ease his nerves – to the nice little room he is now occupying.

seokjin smiles amusingly to himself, shaking his head slightly. taking a slow sip of the drink, he glances at his buzzing phone. his eyes scan over the several notifications from his social media, making him smile again into his cup.

"busy?"

on noticing the new person in the room who literally appeared right in front of him from nowhere, seokjin does a stellar spit take, nearly choking on coffee. wide eyes settle on an amused yet slightly disgusted face of a girl. reaching into his pocket, he pulls out a dusty pink handkerchief – a gift from an adoring fan – and dabs at his mouth and hands shakily.

"y-you just–" unable to find the words, he gestures with his hands frantically as he stands on his feet. "one second there was no one and the next..." he steps back nimbly. "h-how did you do that?"

"i'm sorry i scared you. i didn't mean to." she smiles warmly. she takes the seat opposite him, glancing around. "you must have a big movie coming up, huh?" she returns her gaze to him.

he is still standing, staring warily at her. "a-are you a fan?" he stutters, eyes still wide. "i've seen you in some ads and in the trailer of that super popular movie but i haven't gotten around to watching it yet." she admits and he notices the slight accent in her clear voice.

seokjin's gaze moves to the ceiling and her eyes follow his. "what are you looking at?" she asks. "i'm trying to figure out where you dropped from." he answers honestly. she laughs, dropping her gaze. "i didn't drop from anywhere, seokjin."

"then how?" he queries, meeting her eyes. "you can sit, i won't harm you. i promise." she gestures to the seat he was previously occupying. he does as she says, keeping his eyes on her. "what's your name?" he asks, taking in her pretty face. "nohemi," she beams. "nohemi de valle."

"that's a pretty name." he remarks softly. "thanks, my dad picked it." she chimes. seokjin chuckles at her response but goes stiff at the memory of how she came out of thin air. "nohemi, how did you get in here? they just don't let people in here and you literally appeared like it was magic."

she props her elbow on the glass table, resting her chin on the heel of her palm and staring fixedly at him. he notices the start of a tattoo on her left wrist. and it almost looks like a pizza slice.

she pulls her bottom lip between her teeth before answering him. "that's precisely what it was." her expression is one of seriousness so seokjin knows she means every word.

"magic? but there's no such thing." seokjin's brows furrow. "but you just said it yourself." the dewy skinned girl points out. "yes, but i meant it as a figure of speech." his hands move as he gestures wildly. "well, i didn't. i meant it in its literal sense."

he blinks furiously as though there is something in his eyes, trying to assimilate what she is saying. "i don't understand." he rakes a hand through his hair, mussing it up slightly. "what don't you understand?" she asks softly. pausing, he raises a brow at her question.

it should be pretty obvious that he doesn't understand anything. especially how his day is going from an all important meeting with stephen lindberg about what might be another blockbuster, to talking magic with a girl with a smiling face he's never met before.

"everything." he responds finally. nohemi doesn't say anything, simply watching his face. "like how's that even possible?" he questions, letting his confusion show. she smiles understandingly, meeting his gaze without faltering.

"seokjin, anything is possible with magic."
