Chapter 6

A/N
This is more of Jayme's thoughts. Not much action.

Once I had gotten to the cliff, I pulled out some parts and my tools. Tinkering with spare parts was always a way to think about everything. I hadn't been out here to tinker in awhile, as I had been kept home.

Once I began to work, my mind wandered.

(*Italics* mean thought)

*Why do "Jackie" and Miko care? I mean, all I've ever been to others is a burden...*

I then heard something sizzling. I look down at my work, and it was the source of the noise. Shit.

I then grabbed my pliers and cut one of the few wires that were there. The sizzling stopped, and I sighed, getting back to work.

*Do they pity me?  I'm just a useless child aren't I?

What am I doing listening to HIM? I guess he's starting to get to me...*

I then looked up at the sky, seeing it clear, and full of happiness and joy. I have always wanted to see what was beyond it though, as I wanted to start a new life among people who don't know me and build myself back up again. But in reality, I don't know if I ever will.

Each and every time I point to or write the words "I'm fine" and "Go away", I really want them to see past it. I want them to persist, to force me to let them stay. No has ever seen past my mask, and I have a feeling no one will.

I then started working on my "invention".

*If I'm alive, then why do I feel as if I've been dead for years?

And to all those people out there who would attend my funeral, don't cry. I've been dead for years. My body has just caught up with my soul.*

I then sigh, and looked down. My "invention" was a weird version of a microscope. It had an extra pulley, and I'm guessing that it's for blowing something up. That's what I thought it was. Not even I understand my brain sometimes.

I then packed up my things, knowing that HE would be home soon if he wasn't already. I then started my long walk home, or rather, my eternal prison.

Once I got home, he did the same shit again, exept he used both the belt and knife. He cut deeper and her me harder, trying to get me to breakdown, and plead for him to stop. Luckily the knife was sharp, because if it was dull and rusted, it would leave jagged cuts and give me tetnus.

After he was done, he left, leaving me to clean up the mess, along with my cuts.

Once I was done with that, I limped to bed, knowing that I would need all the sleep I could get.
