Chapter 5

*Jayme's P.O.V.*

The next day, it was hard for me to move at all. HE used the whip so many times on my back, I'm surprised that some of my bones didn't break. There were going to be bruises for days, if not weeks. Hopefully I was healed enough by next week. I'm really looking forward to sparring with someone good.

I had to walk to school, and I had a limp. Not a huge one, just one that made a difference on how I walked. I was sure Miko would notice right away. And that she did.

Just as I got to school, Miko was waiting for someone. She then saw me, and waved me over.

"Hey Jay! When did you get the limp?" She asked, worried that something had happened. And something had. But, I haven't "told" anyone. This is because last time I did, he was proven innocent even when I showed my scars, which at the time, I had only a few of. That was about two years ago. I walked closer, and then started writing.

•Miko, I'm fine. I twisted my leg, and now I have the limp.• I responded. I was good at lying, as it was rare that I smiled, or did anything associated with happiness, or pranking. Though I did love making little "inventions". Most end up going boom.

I could tell Miko wasn't satisfied, but she let the subject rest.
"Ok... Let's go before we're late!" She exclaimed, into the building.

Little did they know, Jack and Raf were watching the whole conversation.
"Maybe that's why Miko is upset. Her friend is hurt but it's always some excuse or another. She won't even tell Miko.." Jack said, now very worried about Jayme. Raf just nodded, not knowing what to say.

It was now lunch, and the day was slow for Jayme.

Once I got my lunch, I was going to the table in back, as only I ever sat back there. While I was walking, one of Vince's friends tripped me, possibly harming my leg even more. My lunch landed up right, a miracle, because I had spaghetti.

I then stood up and picked up my tray. It was no use telling. The teachers did nothing and Vince would just bully me even more. I then saw Miko waving me over. I went over and sat down.

•Thank you Miko. I think you are Raf and you are Jack right?• I wrote this showing them. The two boys nodded, still wondering how she had been hurt.

"Um.. Are you alright? You didn't have the limp yesterday.." Raf asked quietly.

I then flipped back to the answer I gave Miko, and showed them. Both of them nodded, though I could see in their eyes that they were unsure. I had learned to read emotions from their eyes. They cannot hide the emotions from them.

**End of School Day**

I was walking with Miko, Raf and Jack out of the building. They waved goodbye and got in or on their vehicles.

I always wondered where they went, and why in the same direction. Not to mention that the motorcycle and Urbana were custom made. The SUV had more armor on it than it should.

I then walked home, forgetting about the vehicles, and started thinking about if whether Father was going to be home or not.

When I got home, his car wasn't there. I was thankful, as I liked to go out to where I sparred weekly to work on my projects. I then finished my chores, set out leftovers, and then left.

I'm doing two today, to make up for not updating recently. Leave a review in the comments!
