"What is that thing?" Admiral Hood exclaimed.

"That seems to be the Yamato admiral." The Dawn's AI stated obviously.
"That is fairly obvious. But I was talking about that hole in the bow." He replied.
"There are no records of any ship of that type with a weapon the muzzle of which is in the bow. I can only assume that it is some sort of beam cannon." She surmised.

The Yamato now hovered alongside the Forward Unto Dawn.
Water can be seen still running off the decks, turrets and superstructure.

Grant can be seen on the bridge talking to the Yamato's AI.
"I'm very sorry Captain North but I must take you and your ship into custody." Admiral Hood states apologetically.
Grant and Lilly look at him surprised.
"What?" Grant asks incredulously.
"As much as I don't want to do it, I must unfortunately." Hood apologizes again.

Meanwhile, on a hidden covenant dreadnought the Yamato's appearance hasn't gone unnoticed.

A sangheili runs to the shipmaster and informs him that a strange ship has been captured by the humans.
The shipmaster is understandably unimpressed and immediately calls for help.

Back on Earth the Yamato is floating in New York harbour.

Admiral Hood and Master Chief are on the bridge with Grant talking while Cortana attempts to hack into the Yamato's memory bank.

"Basically I'm not from this universe." Grant said matter-of-factly.

Chief stayed silent as Admiral Hood spoke.

"So what exactly is this ship?" He inquired. "I know you said it's the Yamato but I doubt it."
"This is the Earth escape ship Yamato." Grant replied. "Well.........was."
"Was?" Hood said confused. "What do you mean was?"
