Somewhere in the East China sea between Kyushu and Okinawa

A strange light appears at the bottom of the sea, next to the crumbling wreck of the Imperial Japanese Navy battleship Yamato.
Just as quickly as the light appeared it was gone.
In its place was a ship.
A ship that looked remarkably similar to what the wreck next to it looked like in 1944.

Was the Space Battleship Yamato.
Built in 2199 to travel to a far away planet to retrieve an anti-radiation device.
But this Yamato never left the atmosphere.
On board was one boy.
Only one 17 year old boy.
His name.
was Grant North.
