(Okay, this is short but we need a little break from saving the world. Hope you enjoy!)

Third Person P.O.V.

The team makes it back to Professor Pickle's lab with Amy waiting for them. (Y/N) and Chip gets off Sonic as he stands up and shakes himself. (Like a dog~ ☺️) Amy runs over to them and takes (Y/N)'s hands in hers, "Way to go! Only two more temples left and the world is back to normal." She says, hopping up and down in excitement. (Y/N) could not help but smile from her energy, "You got it. But I need me some food and a nap." She says, removing her hands from Amy as she holds one up to her mouth while she yawns. Chip yawns too as he feels very tired. "Of course. I'll tell the professor. You guys just go and get some sleep. Especially you, Sonic." Amy says, placing her hands on her hips as she gives Sonic a pointed look.

Sonic rolls his eyes, "Yeah, yeah. I got it. I do take breaks." He defends. "With how often you run around, I doubt it at times." She sasses at him. (She has a point.) Sonic raise his hands in surrender while (Y/N) and Chip quietly laugh from the big Werehog being intimidated by a pink hedgehog. They then made their way in with Amy separating from them as she went to inform Prof. Pickle and Tails. (Y/N) found some food and took it with her as she, Chip and Sonic arrived in a room for them to sleep in.

"Mmm~ These cookies are delicious." Chip says, munching on a cookie as he and (Y/N) sit on the bed. "Yep." (Y/N) agrees then takes a drink from a cup of tea. Sonic finishes his plate and sets it aside as he looks at (Y/N), eyes closed and smiling as she sips the tea. His tail wags as he watches her be offered another cookie by Chip but declines and lets him have it. Seeing the way she takes care of Chip is super sweet as one moment the two are up to antics and the other she is caring for him like a child. He knows for certain she would be a great mom if she ever chose to have children. (I can see it. 😊)

"Hey, Fluffy." He blinks as he sees (Y/N) look at him, "You want the bed?" She says. Sonic stands up and walks over to her then stands in front of her. (Y/N) felt a little intimidated by his size as he looks down at him. He leans down and whispers into her ear, "It's a little small for the both of us." He whispers, the gruffness of his voice adding a little something. (Oh, sweet chaos. 😳) (Y/N)'s face becomes bright red from the way he said that and feels a shiver up her spine. She pushes him away hard and he falls on his back, "Oof!" He groans from the impact. (Oop-! Too much strength.)

"Oh! We could make a blanket fort." The two look over at Chip as he flies off and grabs another blanket. (Oh, right. He's here. 😐) (Y/N) pats down her quills, then having been a little frazzled from earlier, and stands up, "Yes! And pillows. I'll be back!" She runs out of the room. Sonic sighs as he rests on his back. Chip flies above him, "What's wrong, Sonic? Don't you want to sleep with (Y/N)?" He asks him. Sonic gives him a narrow look then gets up, "Well, yeah. I like being close to her." He admits. (You REALLY like her. 😏) Chip smiles and flies over to an area and lays the blanket down. "Well, let's make this blanket fort REAL comfy then." He states.

Sonic smiles and walks over as he grabs the blankets from the bed. (Y/N) returns with a stack of pillows and blankets then the three work together to make a large fort. Chip peaks out the entrance as he, (Y/N) and Sonic lay in it. "Perfect. Now," Chip yawns as he lays on (Y/N)'s lap. "Sleep." He snores softly and (Y/N) pets him gently. "He can be so cute." She says. Sonic looks at her as he smiles and moves his hand up to move a quill that was in her face. "So are you." He says back. (Y/N) blushes and looks away from him. 'Twice in a row? Two can play this game.' She thinks to herself. (Oh, boy.)

She gently places Chip down on a pillow then smirks as she moves towards Sonic. He is surprised by her advancing toward him and slightly scoots back, but hits a wall in the fort. She ends up sitting on his lap and lays her hands on his shoulders. Sonic prays his blush is not obvious in his form then (Y/N) rises to speak in his ear, "Well, if I'm cute then you're adorable." She whispers. Sonic's tail wags rapidly and he wraps his arms around her. (Y/N) let out a little squeal in surprise as she and Sonic end up lying down together.

She looks down at Sonic as he hid his face in her chest. "Uh, Sonic?" She nudges his shoulder, but Sonic does not move. "Sonic?" She hears snoring and looks to see that the Werehog had fallen asleep. She smiles down at him, "Oh, Fluffy, what am I going to do with you?" She whispers. She places a kiss on his head, "Sweet dreams." She close her eyes and falls into a blissful slumber. (I have no idea.)
