(Sorry for the long wait. Had stuff to do, was in a it of a rut. But here is the next chapter! Hope you like it!)

Sonic's P.O.V.

We head back to Shamar, it being night and I become the Werehog then run on my hands and feet to get to the professor's lab. It feels weirdly natural when I'm like this. (Because you're a giant puppy in this form~?) "Faster, Fluffy!" I smile as (Y/N) exclaims. I let her ride on my back. "Onwards!" I hear Chip say as he is my head. I roll my eyes while smiling. These two. (Such a cute duo. ☺️) We soon make it and I stop, lower myself to let (Y/N) down. I stand up and she gives me a pat on the cheek, "Good boy." She says. I feel my tail wag. I'm her good boy. "Come on!" I blink and look to see Chip fly forward. Right. He's here.

"Good show, Sonic and (Y/N)! I have good news to share. I've made another breakthrough. Looking through the manuscripts once more, there is said to be a temple in the Adabat area." Prof. Pickle says. "Great! So we just have to place an emerald there and the one here in Shamar. And once we find the last one, Boom! Planet restored." (Y/N) says, using her hands to act out what she said. Cute. (You think EVERYTHING about her is cute.) "Yes, indeed, (Y/N). How about get to finding the temple here." Prof. Pickle says. I nod my head, "We'll have the temple found in no time." I state. "Yeah! Let's get going!" Chip says. "Yeah!" (Y/N) gives him a high five then they give me one too.

We leave the lab then meet up with Amy, "Hey, guys. You off to find another temple?" She asks. "Yep. Be ready for when the quaking starts." I tell her. She smiles and nods her head, "I ain't afraid of earthquakes. I say bring it on!" She says. I give her a thumbs up and (Y/N) gives her a high five. "Come on, boys!" (Y/N) runs off and I run after her. Let's get another temple checked off our list.

Third Person P.O.V.

The gang make their through the streets and then have a mage appear in front of them. (Y/N) takes out her staff but Sonic sees a barrel of water. He picks it up and tosses it at the mage, hitting them and they fall on the ground. (Y/N) sprints at it then jumps and lands on the mage. She hits it multiple times with her staff and as she is about to stab it in the face, the mage grab its staff and hits her away from it. It floats up and points it at the (H/C) hedgehog but gets hit by Sonic as he snuck behind it and performs a drill attack. It falls but more dark creatures appear.

The two make quick work of them then continues forward. (Y/N) would ride on Sonic as he runs on all fours while they make their way down the streets. They came upon more dark creatures and work in-sync to take them out to proceed forward. For there would be whispy purple barriers and they would not disappear until all of the creatures were defeated.

"Ha!" (Y/N) stabs her blades into a horned creature it disappears and Sonic stands back to back with her. (Y/N) stands up but notices the barrier is still up. "I don't get it. I don't see anymore." She says. Sonic then feels something off and moves (Y/N) as he faces a certain direction. "Sonic?" (Y/N) says, but watches as the Werehog pulls back his fist and it being surrounded in a purple glow. She remains silent then a mage appears in front of Sonic and gets hit with his fist in a one-hit knockout. Sonic sighs and rolls his head, the barrier disappears. "Now we got them all." He says, his voice sounding husky in his gruff tone. (Y/N) blushes and faces away from him while her tail wags. "That was hot." She thinks. (Very. 😳)

The two continue on then had to find four gem statutes to open a door, and fight more dark creatures. "WHY ARE THERE SO MANY?!?" (Y/N) shouts into the night sky. She kicks a mini creature away as it tried to get the jump on her. "Not this time!" She glares at it. Sonic smacks two together and they evaporate. "Good thing it's the last one." He says. (Y/N) huffs and sheathes her blades. "Thankfully." She mutters with a pout which Sonic found adorable.

Once the gates open, the two make their way out of the city and avoid fire sprouts while also dealing with more dark creatures. After defeating the last one with Sonic body slamming it on the ground, the two finally have a moment to breathe. "Hah! So many. I think we jinxed ourselves earlier." (Y/N) pants, cracking her back a little after landing on it. Chip appears and notices her pain. He gives a massage by gently hitting his fists on her shoulders. "Oh, yeah. That's much better. Thanks, Chip." She thanks. Sonic watches and sulks as he is not the one making (Y/N) feel better. (He jealous. 😏)

"Hey, look!" Chip flies over and picks up another key. (Y/N) takes out the other half and the two glow as they float up and join together. Chip grabs it and then flies off in a direction, (Y/N) and Sonic following after him.

The gang then arrive in a battle arena type location, but stop as dark blue electricity appears in the sky. It comes together then flash red and a large spiky dark creature with wild green hair, golden cuffs and a large hammer lands in front of them. The Dark Guardian slams its hammer on the ground. Sonic pounds his fist in his palm and (Y/N) takes out her staff while Chip flies to a safe distance.

The battle begins and as Sonic does a drill attack at the guardian, it swings its hammer and sends Sonic back. (Y/N) runs at it, jumps and lands on the hammer then jumps straight at the guardian as she whacks the guardian. Sonic recovers and as he stands up, he notices blocks with white cubes varying from large to small. "Gah!" Sonic sees (Y/N) soaring in the air and he quickly moves to catch her. "No matter how many hits I land, he just heals." She says. "There's got to be some way!" Sonic says.

The Dark Guardian charges at them and Sonic jumps away to avoid getting hit by its hammer as it slams onto the ground. "Ooh! Ooh! Sonic, (Y/N)! What if you took the boxes over to the blue place!" Chip calls out. The two look to see a blue path then at the blocks. "That's it! I distract, you push!" (Y/N) says, getting out of Sonic's arms and charges at the guardian. Sonic hurries over and starts pushing the block with the smallest cube to the blue path. (Y/N) uses her staff to launch her up then puts it away and takes out her blades. She stabs at the guardian and Sonic places the block on the path. It moves to be on a ledge then a blue orb appears and destroys a section of the wall and weakens the guardian.

With the weakness found, it charges at Sonic but the Werehog blocks its attack and punches it back. (Y/N) distracts the Dark Guardian while Sonic pushes the blocks onto the blue path. Sonic punches horned creature away and sees (Y/N) down, the guardian raising his hammer to finish her. His eyes widen as his heart beats faster in fear and looks back to see the last block far from him, but reels his fist back then punches as his arm stretches and the block lands on the path.

A blue orb appears and hits the Dark Guardian, it freezes then drops its hammer as it falls back. (Y/N) gets up and looks back at the downed enemy. Sonic walks over to her and checks if she is okay. Once she said yes, Sonic looks at the downed enemy, "I know little girls who are better with a hammer than you. Well, one, anyway." Sonic says. (And she is FIERCE with it. 🩷🌹) (Y/N) giggles a little.

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

Well, that was fun. Chip appears and cheers at our victory. I rub his head, "You helped us attain victory. Nice thinking with the blocks." I compliment him. He smiles then the key glows and floats up to the wall where the stuff crumble to reveal the gate to the temple. It glows brightly then fades as the gates. "Come on!" I run off to enter the temple.

We make it to the pedestal and Chip activates it while I stand at it. I look back at Sonic and he takes out an emerald and gives it to me. I place it in the hole and yellow light appears around it. It lifts into the air and I smile as it spins. It shines brightly then fades as the Yellow Chaos Emerald is restored. I grab onto Chip as the place starts to shake. It then ends and I sigh, "Five down, two to go." I say. I step off the steps and start walking but stop as Sonic gets on all fours. He looks at me, "Onwards?" He asks. I smirk at him then Chip flies out of my arms and lands on his head. "Onwards!" He says. (Onwards!)

I giggle then get on Sonic and position myself to get comfy. "Let's go, Fluffy." I hear him growl-Hot-Then he runs off. We exit out the temple and I look up at the sky to see the stars shining down. Almost there. We're so close.
