Every step I take feels like a million miles from home. The wind blows through my blonde hair,sending it backwards,I wrap my arms around my chest like a sign of comfort. All I have is my clothes and my backpack,I can feel the tears in my eyes but I wipe them away. I don't need those right now.

I sit at the bus stop,waiting for the next bus,counting the money in my pocket seeing if I have the right amount. As I tuck a strand of hair behind my ear my sleeve rolls down,revealing my pale wrist. Except fort he scars which are marked there in random patterns and angles. I shudder at the thought then pull my sleeve right down,holding onto it tightly even though no one has noticed. No in ever did. I never could tell anyone,and it's not like anyone cares.

"Are you all right?"

I jump at the voice then look to see a boy sitting beside me,maybe a few years older. With blonde hair and eyes I could get lost in,he smiles sweetly at me.

I don't say anything,just nod and bow my head back down.

"Where you headed?" He asks me as I focus on the shade of his eyes.
"I don't know." I answer,the words curling up in my throat "Somewhere nice."
"You ran away?"
"Yes."
"Do you need a place to stay?"
"No,I don't want to bother you."
"Are you sure?"

I have to bite my lip to keep from crying.
"Yes.. Yes.. I'm sure."

I get on the bus and sit down on some seats,looking out the window at the beautiful night sky. I feel a bit peckish so I get my bag and pull out a packet of crips and eat them quite quickly then pull my legs up to my chin so they are seated on the chair,I wipe my eyes again.

"Could I sit with you?" It's that boy again.
"Yes."
"What's your name?"
"Margo Walliss. You?"
"Thomas Sangster."
"You don't have to pretend to like me just because I'm crying."
"I wanted to know if you were okay."
"Sometimes people ask what happened,just because they want to know it. Not because they want to help you."
"I do,I want to help you."
"Why,I don't even know you?"
"True."
"So why?"
"Because your lost. And I want to make you better."
