One week later, Nathaniel and Chole were on a date. Some creep came by and tugged on Chole's hair. "Ow, let go!" She screamed. Nathaniel punched him. "Listen here, you creep, you leave my Chole alone! Got it?"  The bad man ran off shocked.

     "Your Chole, I like the sound of that," Chole said with a hint of a blush.

      "Yes, I love you," Nathaniel said.

   "I love you too," Chole said.

      Nathaniel wrapped an arm around her. The two walked together to the park. The water fountain was lit up with some pretty lights. The words, "Chole will do me the honors of being my girlfriend, officially?"  Chole smiled. She could not believe it. "Yes!" She squealed. She hugged him and he hugged her.

         The rest of the date went well with no more interruptions. Nathaniel took her home and kissed her while they stood on the porch. "You are cute, " He said. "No, you are the cute one," Chole teased him.  

        "You are the better kisser," He said. "No, you are the better kisser," Chole scoffed.

       Nathaniel smirked as he went home. Chole was a great woman and she was his girlfriend. Yes, he liked that word. But there was another word he liked even better it was the word wife. Maybe someday she would become his wife. It might be a while since they only started dating. But waiting to marry her would be worth it. He was sure because Chole was his everything. He smiled at how her eyes twinkled when they were together. He loved her smile, laughter, playful banter, and kisses.   He loved her hugs, her love for him, and how she was no longer the same rude girl she was years ago. He loved his Chole. 

   Chole entered her room with a goofy grin on her face. She was Nathaniel's girlfriend. It was an honor bestowed upon her that she felt blessed to have. Imagine her being the one he chose to ask out, the one he chose to love and to kiss. She blushed.  Would she marry him?  It was too soon to tell, but if he asked she would say yes.

       "Yes, my sweetheart and I are together at last, "She said as she looked at the stars.
