(ANNA POV)

I was looking out the window when I saw Jake pull up in the driveway and rush towards the door. Carlisle had gone to meet him.

"Is it true?" I hear Jake ask. Bella looks over to me as if asking if it was really him.

"Hello, Jacob, how are you?" Carlisle asks him.

"Listen, just give it to me straight," I hear Jake tell him. I nod at Bella letting her know it was him.

"Jake, is that you?" Bella asks as I walk over to her.

"She's here?" I hear Jake ask.

"They came home two weeks ago," Carlisle answers and I hear loud footsteps coming up the stairs. "Jake." Carlisle follows after him. Rosalie and I stand in front of Bella as we see Jake come up the stairs with Carlisle behind him. He looks around at all of us before looking at me questionably.

"I'm glad you came," Bella says as Jake starts walking forward.

"Close enough," Rose says as she steps forward making Jake stop. I move to standing beside Bella who is laying on the couch.

"What's your problem?" Jake asks Rosalie.

"Rose, it's okay," Bella tells her. Jake walks around Rose and sits on the table in front of Bella.

"You look terrible," Jake states.

"Yeah, it's nice to see you, too," Bella says.

"So, are you gonna tell me what's wrong with you?" Jake asks.

"Rose, Anna, you both wanna help me up?" Bella asks as she looks at us. Rose gets on one side and me on the other. Bella moves the blanket while Rose and I each grab a hand helping her stand up. Jake looks shocked and his thoughts are going crazy as he sees Bella's stomach that was showing because her shirt was up. Bella then pulls her shirt down over her stomach and gives Jake a small smile.

"You did this!" Jake says as he heads after Edward. Emmett stops him by putting a hand on his shoulder.

"We didn't know it was even possible," Carlisle says.

"What is it?" Jake asks as he knocks Emmett's hand off of his shoulder and turns towards Carlisle.

"I'm not sure. Ultrasounds and needles won't penetrate the embryonic sac," Carlisle explains as I help Bella sit back down.

"I can't see it, either. And I can't see Bella's future anymore," Alice adds.

"We've been researching legends, but there isn't much to go on. What we do know is that it's strong. And fast-growing," Carlisle further explains.

"Why haven't you done anything? Take it out of her!" Jake asks as he walks toward Carlisle.

"This is none of your business, dog," Rose says.

"Rose! All this fighting isn't good for Bella," Esme scolds.

"The fetus isn't good for Bella," Alice states.

"Say the word, Alice. 'Baby.' It's just a little baby," Rose says.

"Possibly," Jasper says as he stands closer to Alice.

"Carlisle, you've gotta do something," Jake says.

"No. It's not his decision. It's not any of yours," Bella says as I rub her shoulder in comfort.

"Jacob, I need to talk to you," Edward says as he walks out of the room and Jake follows. About five minutes later everyone leaves the room besides Rose, Bella and me. I'm now sitting beside Bella. Jake then walks back in and Rose stops him in the doorway. "Rose, I'm fine, really," Bella tells her. Rose then leaves the room.

"You want me to go?" I ask as I look over at her.

"No, stay, please. You're my sister and whatever he has to say can be said in front of you," Bella answers as Jake takes off his jacket and sits in front of Bella and me. "So, Edward sent you in here to talk to me?"

"Sort of. What I can't figure out is why he thinks you will listen to me because you never have before," Jake answers and I chuckle which makes Bella laugh which also makes Jake smile. "Since when are you both bff's with blondie?"

"They both understand what I want," Bella answers and I nod in agreement because Rose and I actually do not like each other.

"What are you thinking Bella?" Jake asks. "Seriously?"

"I know this seems like a scary thing, but it's not. It's like this miracle or something. I can feel him," Bella answers and I smile at her.

"So, it's a bouncing baby boy. I'm sorry I didn't know. Should've brought some blue balloons," Jake says sarcastically.

"It's just a guess. When I picture him, I see a boy," Bella explains. "We'll see." Bella rubs her stomach and smiles.

"You won't," Jake says.

"Jake, I can do this. I can do this," Bella says.

"Don't do this," Jake says.

"I'm strong enough," Bella states.

"Come on. You can spout that crap to your bloodsucker, but you don't fool me. I can see what that thing's doing to you. It's a killer, Bella," Jake says as he stands up.

"You're wrong," Bella says.

"And when you die, what was the point? Of me loving you, you loving him. How is that right for anyone? Because I sure don't see it," Jake asks and I hang my head. Jake sits back down. "Listen to me, Bella. Please. Just don't do this. Live, okay? Please." Bella grabs Jake's hand and I stand up before walking over to the doorway.

"Jake, everything's gonna be okay," Bella says. Jake stands and grabs his jacket. "Jacob, don't go."

"I know how this ends. And I'm not sticking around to watch," Jake says before he walks away.

"I'll go talk to him," I tell Bella who nods her head. I walk outside to find Jake pacing. "Hey."

"How can you let her do this?" Jake asks me.

"Do you honestly think I want to watch my sister die?" I ask him. "Of course I don't her to die."

"Then why don't you stop her?" Jake asks with a growl.

"Because it's not my choice," I answer and Jake kicks his bike. "It's her choice and I promised her that I would support her no matter what."

"Wh..why.." Jake goes to ask but never finishes because he phases. Jake runs into the woods and I run after him. I phase once I'm safe in the trees and chase after him.

"Jake, I can do this. I can do this," Bella's voice plays in Jake's mind, leaving it out there where the pack can hear it. "Don't do this." His own voice plays. "I'm strong enough. I'm strong enough." Bella's voice again. "This is none of your business, dog." Rosalie's voice plays. "Jacob, don't go." Bella's again. "You did this!" His own again as the image of Bella pulling down her shirt comes up. "Everything's gonna be okay," Then Bella's as her face comes up. "The fetus isn't good for Bella." Alice's voice plays. "I know how this ends. Don't you even care that it's killing you?" Jake's voice plays once again. All I can do is chase after him as he growls and lets everything play. Jake then lets out a howl signaling the rest of the pack. I can hear them all howling.

"Jake," I try to get through to him.

"It's her choice and I promised her that I would support her no matter what." My voice plays in Jake's head but the strangest part is, is that him kissing me comes into his mind. I hear Embry howl angrily in the distance.

"Jake! Jake! Anna! Jake! Jake! Anna! Jake! Jake! Anna!" All the wolves think as we all start running to meet up. The other wolves are already together and I see that Embry is planning on attacking Jake. I jump in front of Jake when we enter where the others are which cause Embry to attack me.

"Enough!" I think to Embry and he stops.

"Is it true, Jacob?" Paul asks.

"What will it be?" Quil asks.

"It's growing fast," Paul states.

"It's unnatural," Leah says.

"Dangerous," Jared says.

"Monstrosity," Quil says.

"An abomination," Paul adds. The whole time they are circling around Jake and me.

"On our land," Quil says.

"We can't allow it," They all think.

"We have to protect the tribe. What they've bred won't be able to control its thirst. Every human will be in danger," Sam says as he stands on the logs above us.

"We're ready," Jared says.

"No time to waste," Leah states and I growl.

"Now?" Jake asks with a growl.

"We must destroy it before it's born," Sam answers.

"You mean, kill Bella?" Seth asks.

"Her choice affects us all," Sam answers.

"Bella's human," I state.

"Our protection applies to her," Jake adds.

"She's dying anyway!" Leah says as she gets in Jake's face. Jake growls before pinning her down. Embry goes after Jake again but I growl and pin him down. Sam growls making us all stop.

"We have real enemies to fight tonight," Sam says.

"Tonight?" Jake and I ask at the same time and Seth whines as he stands beside Jake.

"You both will fight with us, Jake and Anna," Sam orders in his alpha voice as he walks off of the logs and towards Jake, Seth and I. Sam starts using his alpha growl and Seth bows his head to the ground giving in. Jake and I both start growling back at Sam. Jake's head slightly starts going down. Jake's head is almost to the ground and he starts whining.

"True alpha," I think where only Jake can hear it. My head was starting to lower a little as I keep growling back at Sam.

"I will not. I am the grandson of Ephraim Black. I am the grandson of a chief! I wasn't born to follow you, or anyone else," Jake says as he raises his head against Sam's alpha growl. Jake stands taller than Sam and I'm able to raise my head what little bit it was lowered. Jake growls before running into Sam before completely running off. Sam turns back to growl at me.

"I was born to follow a true alpha and you know that," I growl before trying to run in the direction Jake went. Sam stands in front of me. "Get out of my way." Sam slightly whines and I take off running after knocking shoulders with Sam.

"How?" Jake asks as I catch up with him.

"I wasn't ever fully apart of Sam's pack. I can only bow to true alphas," I answer him.
