It was a fine Sunday morning when I drove to Stonewell Community Church. I entered, excited to tell Nigel all that had happened to me. I couldn't wait for the service to end. Finally, the service ended and I found Nigel with Sophie and talking to some elderly people. Were they together? I wondered as I walked up to Nigel.

"Kayla? What are you doing here?" Nigel asked me, surprised.

"I came for a visit. Can I have a word with you?" I asked.

"Sure", Nigel said and took me to a private place where we could talk.

I told Nigel all that had happened to me.

"Are you serious? Are you sure this is not a joke? I hope you are not trying to trick me again?" Nigel said.

"No, of course not", I said.

"Prove it."

Nigel then began to ask me questions about God, Christianity and the Bible. I'm sure he was surprised and impressed by my answers, judging by the look on his face. But he still did not believe me. I left the church with a sorrowful heart. To make matters worse, it began to rain. I knew I had told Nigel the truth, maybe all it needed was a matter of time before he would believe me.

Nigel looked at his watch impatiently. Sophie was supposed to be here minutes ago. Just as he was about to call her, she came through the door.

"You're late", Nigel said.

"I'm so sorry. I was very busy at work", she said.

"Anyway, it's too late to go to the movies. I have a movie here we can watch", Nigel said.

Nigel put the popcorn in the microwave and soon it began popping. When it was ready, he sat with Sophie and they began watching 'Love Shaped Heart'. Nigel began to let his mind wander and he started to think about Kayla. He was partially convinced that she had truly changed. He hoped she wasn't lying to him again.

Sophie looked at Nigel. He seemed to be dozing off. She nudged him sharply.

"Kayla, Kayla", Nigel said.

Why was he mentioning Kayla's name? Sophie 'accidentally' spilled the orange juice she was holding in Nigel's shorts. She took his shorts and took his phone out. She looked through his photos, messages, everything. Was he having an affair with Kayla? Sophie loved Nigel with all her heart but Nigel didn't return his love as passionately as she did. She wanted all his attention but his attention was mainly on Kayla. She wanted out of the relationship and maybe this was the right time to do so. So Sophie broke up with Nigel that very night.
