I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock, ringing just as loud today. Must be cuz I set the volume high, I thought. I checked what time it was, it was exactly 04:30 am.

I got up in no time and went down stairs to fill my stomach with something, and as usual, mom was cooking breakfast. This time it was different because mom was cooking, toasted bread, pancakes, bacon, fried egg and got an orang juice on the table for me.

"wow," I exclaimed. "this is a lot."
"Well you need it for your trip toda-"
"Ohhhh yeah! I almost forgot the trip was today!"
"It is a good thing you got up early."
"It is indeed."
After eating my breakfast, which was delicious, I wore a hoody and sweatpants.
It was a bit chili since it was early morning. When I got inside our hall, my mom waved goodbye and see ya later. I was booming with excitement. I could not quite control myself. I kept smiling.
When I got inside the school hall, I was relieved to see Lilam.
  "Lilam!!!"
"Cylian!" He shouted. We hugged and greeted each other.
"Im so excited for this trip, are you?"
"Why of course!" I answered.


"Well, welcome everyone!" Somebody said. "We will be giving the rules, instructions, and room numbers!" She said aloud.

There was a huge screen in front of us, and it blared with music and bright lights, as a list appeared.


1.Do all your tasks.
2.Your tasks should be done at the end of the day.
3.For any emergencies, press the !EMERGENCY BUTTON! at the first table in the cafeteria.                 
4.No playfighting, bullying, and cussing. This is a child friendly trip.                                                           
5.Be cooperative. Listen to the ship leader at all times.
6.Your rooms/dorms will have the color of your spacesuit above the door.
7.LISTEN TO THE RULES.
8.Observe cleanliness at all times.
9.You will be given tablets for your tasks and for communication. Do not use them for any other reason.


The rules were pretty simple, yet the safety precautions were yet to be given. Lilam looked  at me giving me her "I am bored" face. I agreed with her. It had been five minutes straight, just looking at the blaring lights of the screen.

The screen finally turned off, and a lady dressed in a sweater got in front and told us a few things.

"So, your spacesuits will have your color on it" she said.
"You can have different designs for your spacesuit too, like tails, hats, pets, and more!"
Nobody asked any questions as the lady lead us to the spaceship.
We were quite surprised when we went to the NASA headquarters, which was just behind our school. they probably knew it was a good idea since it was a place full of kids nobody would think it was behind the school, I thought.

My jaw fell, as I saw how HUGE the spaceship was.
