Ashclaws for the ten minute doodle of the day
A taboo dragonet among the new kingdom of night, Ashclaws bares way too much resemblance to the horrible deceiving Darkstalker. When the three moons became full again, Ghostwhisper did not get the memo to hide her egg from the moonlight, and thus Ashclaws was thrice moon born, and to make matters worse inherited his uncle's animus magic. While a hybrid with his rainwing father, he appears almost completely nightwing spare his wing membranes, which have hints of rainbow colours within the black, almost like the nightwing with an icewing father but only a small icewing trait. But Ashclaws doesn't want to be himself, he doesn't want power and certainly doesn't want to be the king of the Nightwings. He doesn't want to have magic and can't help that he can read minds, but his tribe won't listen, and when he begins to enchant his scales he worries that he may just end up like the monster his tribe fears. With his sister Crescent he escapes his tribe by going to The Claws of Courage Academy to learn to control his powers and keep him from becoming the next Darkstalker.

Honestly I didn't like Darkstalker all that much, and I thought he could of been written better :/ if I was the writer, I'd do it something like this:
Well I would first make him more aware of everything, he's not a dummy and it's common sense that what he does isn't good. He's so aware in fact it hurts him and makes him overthink. I'd make him more of a victim of a broken home, he would be more of a free spirit that desires freedom from both his mother and his father and he still does have a god complex and a need to make things better. He has had so little control in his life and thus craves it. He does have a mask that is his spell that makes him more charming and such, even changes his appearance from an ugly scrawny dragonet, a hybrid of two dragons not meant to have offspring. He has more icewing traits that hurt him (like he's always unbearably cold and achy) and angers him because he hates icewings.
The real him is a bitter and frustrated dragon who hates yelling (to the point it causes him to have panic attacks) and can't stand imperfection, (to the point who he scrambles madly to do things and gets even more frustrated that he himself is not being perfect) His flaw is that the perfection he seeks is impossible and he gets more and more obsessive and drastic trying to solve the 'imperfection' as he does the spells that 'fix' others, all while wearing the mask that presents himself as a perfect, handsome and flawless dragon with a cool head and charm. Finally he pulls it off to reveal the nervous wreak he actually is and snaps, killing Arctic and threatening anyone else who doesn't respect him, and back on goes the mask as if it never happened to him. He's killed his dad and he's truly gone crazy, when Whiteout 'betrays him' by crying for Arctic and fearing him he goes to Clearsight the one person he still trusts and bam, he gets sleep braceleted.
He loved Whiteout to bits because she's the one good thing he has in his life, while everyone has horrible thoughts and horrible opinions on him Whiteout doesn't think in a way he understands and thus is delightful to listen to, and she supports him. This makes him much closer to Whiteout rather than Foeslayer, who I never saw as worthy of Darkstalker's love. Like, what did she do to deserve it? I never saw any positive reactions between them and she always just yelled and half heartily apologized. Though he loves Whiteout, he's not below using her to seem like a good person, ex: pretending to save her from bullies to gain Clearsight's admiration or making things for her solely to seem like a thoughtful dragon.
His true personality is a absolute nervous wreak because the constant yelling and screaming he grew up with always made it seem like it was his fault (Arctic's thought process, others options on him, the constant bullying, the fact that both Queen Diamond and Queen Vigilance literally wanted him dead and saw him as a mistake enforces this) and thus begins his train of trying to make things perfect to fix the little self esteem he has. What he already finds to be perfect he obsessed over, like Whiteout, and those he befriends he tweaks until they are 'perfect' and than proceeds to obsess. When he can't fix things it makes him angry enough to murder and he has fits, he basically has extreme OCD and is aware of his bad actions, but his god complex makes him believe that he is not doing anything wrong and that this is for the greater good. He justifies his actions by going 'this is bad but it will make it better and they'll thank me because I'm helping' He secretly has a lot of self doubt and he ends up digging a deeper and deeper hole for himself. After his time underground he cools down a little (though he's still incredibly angry about being 'betrayed') but again is quickly absorbed back into his 'things must be my vision of perfect' which he can see in a future that is like, super slim but he don't care. He thinks that with his power he can do it anyways and again is striving for control, he wants 'for once can things just go my way' He thinks Moon is like Clearsight and of course tries to change her to be like her slowly until she's a husk of Moon just barely hanging on to her former self barely saved by Qibli's earring, finally with everyone against him he snaps again and tries to kill them (which is his go too solution, it got rid of Arctic thus can get rid of everything else bad) but Kinkajou manages to shove the enchanted strawberry in his mouth. As for his mask, it was left at the bottom of the pits he was trapped in.
