(S3) Chapter 16: Loki (Part 2)

Third Person POV

(Flashback)

Issei narrowed his eyes at the two; the purple glow within them getting a little brighter.

Issei: "So, what's the Khaos bridge doing in the underworld of all places?..."

He tilted his head.

Issei: "I doubt either of you are here for a vacation or doing any sightseeing..."

Issei then glanced at Kuroka; who was still on the tree branch.

Issei: "Especially since one of you is trying to take away my friend..."

The purple glow in his eyes grew a little bit more, his pupils shifting into more reptilian-like ones.

Issei: "So you two better start talking..."

Unfortunately, neither Kuroka nor Bikou decided to respond back to the brown-haired boy; the two had their own reasons for such a thing.

For Kuroka, she was still taken aback by the fact that she was currently face-to-face with the one that got the reptile in Vali's sacred gear so worked up about. She didn't expect to come across him while on this mission; she just wanted to grab Shirone and leave before anyone knew what was happening.

To make things worse for her; Kuroka possessed zero knowledge about Issei Hyoudou and ehat he was capable of; besides the fact that he was a mere human. The reason for this was because Kuroka was a stray devil; one of the most dangerous ones in the entire supernatural world and also because the Khaos Brigade Unfortunately didnt have cable which means that she wouldn't have heard the news... or probably cared at the time.

But now the young man himself was standing directly in front of her; preventing her from getting her precious little sister back.

As for Bikou, he recalls the warnings that Albion had given him. He recalls the dragon telling, no, he ordered him to not even consider attempting to fight Issei Hyoudou.

At first, Bikou thought that the dragon was messin. There was no way he could let a battle against a strong opponent slip from his grasp; but after doing a little bit of his own research and discovering that the brown-haired boy was considered the Monkey Kings "Rival", Bikou knew that this was the real deal.

However, there was also the final thing that Albion mentioned before he met up with Kuroka; the thing he told her.... that they should obey the Will of the Monarch.

Which makes no sense to Bikou...

Issei Hyoudou, a mere human?

A Monarch?

The more that he thinks about it, the more that Bikou wanted to laugh but.... being face-to-face with the young man right now, he was starting to have second thoughts.

Having second thoughts wasn't something that was in Bikou's nature; like Vali, he enjoyed battling again strong opponents. Heck, if he could then he would have a fight with the leaders of the three factions right now.

So why was he having second thoughts with Issei? Maybe it was because he didn't want to deal with Vali's dragon being all pissy... or maybe it's was because of something else.

Either way, one thing was clear to him...

Bikou: 'This Issei Hyoudou is no ordinary human...'

He silently gulped.

Bikou: 'One wrong move and we're probably done for....'

New Divide

Linkin Park

Opening: Start

Issei walked through the streets of Kuoh with his hands in his pockets, a serious expression on his face as his eyes glowed with a faint purple hue.

"I remembered black skies..."

Issei made his way toward the center of Kuoh, the sky covered in darkness as thunder roared and lightning raged off in the distance.

"The lightning all around me..."

Issei closed his eyes as several images flashed through his mind, most notably Sona, Rias and her Peerage, his mother, Yoruichi, and Yamato.

"I remembered each flash..."

Shadows began to creep out and make their way toward the brown-haired boy.

"As time began to blur..."

The shadows swirled and danced around Issei, who remained where he stood, unbothered by what was happening.

"Like a startling sign..."

Numerous hands began to rise up from the shadows, grabbing onto the ground and slowly pulling themselves up.

"That fate had finally found me..."

A small smile grew on Issei's face as he opened his eyes, looking around and seeing all of his shadow soldiers awaiting his command.

"And your voice was all I heard...."

Issei's eyes started to glow more purple as he summoned his Baran Daggers, turning his gaze toward the sky.

"That I get what I deserve..."

The title "Solo Leveling" appeared in the sky in a flash of purple light.

"So give me reason!"

Issei and Sun Wukong stood against one another, their weapons drawn as the Monkey King smirked.

"To prove me wrong!"

Ophis watched Issei from a distance, a small smile of amusement on her face before she turned and was greeted by Gorou, who held a serious expression.

"To wash this memory clean!"

Ddraig let out a thunderous roar that shook the very landscape itself.

"Let the floods cross!"

Issei was minding his business with Sun Wukong, but Ra soon appeared out of nowhere with a flirty grin, which startled the brown-haired boy.

"The distance in your eyes!"

Odin observed Issei with his son Thor standing next to him, only to immediately change and start giving Yoruichi lots of hugs, much to her embarrassment.

"Give me reason!"

Loki appeared from a magic circle with a grin as his eyes glowed.

"To fill this hole!"

Ddraig battled against Jörmungandr, grabbing onto the serpent's neck and slamming it to the ground.

"Connect this space between"

Other deities appeared; Hades had a serious expression, Set was busy dealing with Anubis and Horus, Shiva was dancing with his son, and Zeus was busy flirting while Hera glared.

"Let it be enough to reach the truth that lies!"

Issei faced off against a humanoid ant that let out a mighty roar directly in Issei's face, but he didn't even flinch.

"Across this new divide!"

Issei glanced toward the readers, his eyes glowing with a menacing purple hue as he uttered the words "Arise," and then everything went black.

Opening: End

Issei: "Well?"

He crossed his arms.

Issei: "I'm waiting..."

Both Bikou and Kuroka glanced at each other.

Bikou: "Well, um..."

He then cleared his throat.

Bikou: "You are correct, we didn't come down to the underworld because we wanted to do any sightseeing"

Issei: "Yeah, I already knew that. So why are you here?"

Bikou waved it off.

Bikou: "Oh, nothing that effect you or your friends! In fact, we were just aboit to leave..."

He glanced over at Kuroka.

Bikou: "Right, babe?"

Kuroka looked at Bikou with a slightly taken aback expression; not because he called her babe, he called her that all the time. No, her react was because Bikou just wanted them to up and leave?

Kuroka came to the underworld to get her little sister back; there was no way in hell that she was gonna walk away empty handed.

Kuroka: "Now hold on a second, Bikou. I never agreed to such a thing"

She then leaped down from the tree branch; landing next to her Khaos Brigade comrade.

Kuroka: "I came here for Shirone and I'm not leaving until I get her"

Bikou simply shrugged.

Bikou: "Sorry, Babe. But it seems like you'll have to cancel that plan of yo-"

Kuroka: "Don't give me that crap, Bikou"

Bikou: "Huh?"

She narrowed her eyes at her companion.

Kuroka: "I don't know why you're acting like this and I don't care! I taking what's mine back..."

She then looked at Issei, Rias, and Koneko with a serious expression.

Kuroka: "Even if that means I gotta kill them to get my baby sister"

Raising one of her hands; Issei watched as Kuroka began to do something to the environment around them. Everything seemed to distort and take on a mkre eerie atmosphere; the sky becoming grey, the trees looking sickly, and to top it all of there appeared to be a small fog rolling in.

Issei: "Well, this can't be good..."

Kuroka giggled.

Kuroka: "You like it? It's a little barrier I put over the forest to keep us trapped together for a bit"

Issei didn't respond back to Kuroka; he simply glanced over at Rias.

Issei: "Get ready, Rias. Seems like we gotta kick some monkey and cat butt!"

Rias nodded.

Rias: "Right..."

Bikou looked at Kuroka.

Bikou: "Are you crazy? We were given specific ord-"

Kuroka: "Don't tell me your going soft, Bikou. You're normally the type to swing first and ask questions later..."

She then gave him a serious look.

Kuroka: " So you better start swinging that staff"

Bikou: "I-I..."

He soon caved in; letting out a small sigh in the process.

Bikou: "Well, if that's the case..."

He shifted his attention over to Issei, Rias, and Koneko; twirling his staff as he raised it up high.

Bikou: "SHOW ME YOUR POWER!"

He brought his staff down with such force; it shattered the rocky ground. Luckily, the trio were able to avoid the attack in time.

In retaliation; Rias's body began glowing with a crimson red glow, her hands filling with magical power before she unleashed a powerful blast of destruction towards both Bikou and Kuroka.

However, the two didn't move from where they stood. Kuroka simply raised one of her hands, a faint glow covering both her and Bikou's body; resulting in Rias's attack doing absolutely nothing to them.

Rias: "What?!"

Kuroka giggled.

Kuroka: "Come now, did you really think that one attack will be enough to take us out?"

Rias narrowed her eyes as she summoned more of her Power of Destruction into her hands.

Rias: 'Kuroka is a major threat, but I don't want to fight her in front of Koneko...'

Koneko: "Just stop..."

Rias: "Huh?"

Koneko stepped forward, standing in front of Issei and Rias with her back towards them as she stared at Kuroka.

Koneko: "Look, it's fine. I'll come with you..."

Issei looked down at the white-haired girl.

Issei: 'Koneko...'

Koneko: "But first, you have to let my friends leave unharmed..."

Rias narrows her eyes.

Rias: "I don't think so; Koneko, you are my servant, retainer of my household and my friend! I'm not just gonna sit back and let her take you away from those who care about you!"

Koneko clenched her shaking hand into a fist.

Koneko: "Rias, my sisters too strong.... I know what she can do better than anyone..."

Tears slowly began to build up in the corners of the girls eyes.

Koneko: "There's no need to fight... not for someone like me... it's better off if I just leave and never come back..."

Kuroka let out a small chuckle of amusement.

Kuroka: "Well, you heard her. I understand Shirone's true potential better than a bitch like you ever could..."

She then looked down at Koneko.

Kuroka: "Now c'mere, babe. I'll show you how to kick ass "Sage art" style"

Koneko clenched her hand tigher.

Koneko: "No, I don't need that power, not ever. I don't want my strength to come from the pain of others..."

Rias shifted her attention over to Kuroka and gave her a cold glare.

Rias: "Kuroka! Do you understand how much you hurt your sister when you choose to drown in your own power and leave her behind!? When you ran away after murdering your Master, this brave girl saw hell!"

Issei didn't say anything; he just silently listened to Rias words while glaring at Kuroka.

Rias: "When I first met her, having feelings was a luxury she couldn't afford"

The image of a younger; almost emotionless Koneko stood before a younger Rias, who looked at the little girl with pity and sadness.

Rias: "Koneko had been abandoned by you, betrayed by the one person she thought she could trust; and when the other devils despised her, tried with all their might to bully her into leaving, she was completely alone!"

The red-haired girl then grabbed Koenko and gently brought her close to her.

Rias: "You've lost the right to demand anything from her!"

Koneko: "Rias..."

She hugged Koneko tightly.

Rias: "Koneko is apart of my family, I will show her all thr finest things in the world; let her experience things that you could never provide!"

Kuroka: "Well, that was fine speech and all. But I believe its time that we get going..."

She looked at her little sister.

Kuroka: "Come on, Shirone. Let's g-"

Koneko: "No..."

Kuroka was slightly taken aback as she looked at her with a raised eyebrow.

Kuroka: "Excuse me?"

Koneko: "I said, No! I won't be going with you, Kuroka. So just leave!..."

Kuroka: "Now, Shiron-"

Koneko: "THAT'S NOT MY NAME!"

She looked up at her older sister; tears streaming down her face.

Koneko: "My name is Koneko, Koneko Toujou! And I'm staying with my master and my friends!"

Kuroka didn't say anything, she just stared at her younger sister with a calm but also slightly taken aback look on her face.

Rias hugged Koneko; smiling at her before she looked back at Kuroka with a glare.

Rias: "It looks like she's decided to stay as my rook; where she's loved because we treasure family is my household!"

Kuroka continued to remain silent; simply staring at Koneko with a blank expression on her face.

Bikou, who was standing next to the black-haired cat girl couldn't help but glance at his comrade; his staff resting on his shoulder.

He could tell that Kuroka didn't like Koneko's choice; and while he only did one strike, Bikou knew that they shouldn't get into any fights with Issei Hyoudou.

In fact, Bikou knows that this would've been a massacre if the young man wanted it to be. The only reason he hasn't attacked them yet was because of Kuroka's little sister. He doesn't want to kill Kuroka because he doesn't know how it will affect her; sure it looks like she doesn't like her, but Bikou knew that deep down... she still loved her big sister.

Kuroka: "So, is that your choice?..."

Rias narrowed her eyes.

Rias: "I won't let you lay so much as a finger on Koneko"

Kuroka tilted her head slightly, her expression remaining calm but her eyes begin full of seriousness.

Kuroka: "Really? Is that so?..."

Rias: "Ye-"

Issei: "Yes it is..."

After being silent for a good portion of the time; Issei had finally spoken up. Everyone turned their gaze to the brown-haired boy, who started to walk forward until he was standing between Kuroka's gaze of Koneko.

He looked at the cat lady in front of him; his eyes still glowing with a purple hue. But that wasn't all, shadows were also dancing around his body as well.

Issei: "I think it's time that the two of you started heading off..."

He then narrowed his gaze at Kuroka and Bikou.

Issei: "So leave while I'm being merciful..."

A shiver ran down the spines of the two members of the Khaos Brigade; causing the duo to once again have mixed reactions about the current.

For Bikou, sweat started running down his forehead; he knew that something like this would happen if they stuck around. But did they leave? No, Kuroka needed to get her baby sister back and Bikou decided to stick around to help!

Bikou: 'Damn it, why did we stay! Vali's dragon specifically told us not to get into conflict with this guy!'

He glanced at Kuroka.

Bikou: 'Well done, Babe. You've basically sentenced us to death!....'

Speaking of Kuroka; she stared at Issei with yet another confused expression on her face. Why? Why did she feel a shiver? Was she afraid? No, that couldn't be the case.

Yet.... why are her instincts begging, no... they were screaming at her to run away. To get as far away as possible from the young man in front of her.

But he was a human...

A simple human...

So why?....

Why was she feeling afraid?...

Kuroka slowly gritted her teeth.

Kuroka: "I-if you think for a second I'm walking away wit-"

Issei: "Oh, but you are walking away without Koneko..."

Kuroka glared at the young man.

Kuroka: "And what makes you so sure of that!?"

Issei: "Well for one, there's no way in hell that you could defeat me..."

A small grin soon grew onto Issei's face.

Issei: "And also..."

He raised one of his hands and pointed; not at the Khaos Brigade members... but behind them.

Issei: "My friend can be very... convincing, isn't that right, Ddraig?"

At the mention of the name; a massive shadow slowly rose up behind Kuroka and Bikou, gaining the two's attention as they looked away from the trio that was in front of them and checked behind them.

The moment that they did that; the two were greeted by the sight of Ddraig, who stared down at the two with a serious look in his purple eyes.

Both Kuroka and Bikou were taken aback by the former Welsh Dragons sudden appearance.

Bikou: 'Holy shit! Vali wasn't kidding! One of the Heavenly Dragons really is back!'

Kuroka instinctively took a step back.

Kuroka: 'H-how... how is he here?!... S-shouldn't he be dead!?...'

She glanced over at Issei.

Kuroka: 'Just who is this brat?!...'

Ddraig growled down at the two; his gaze shifting over to Issei.

Ddraig: "My Liege, are these two mongrels.... bothering you?"

The two flinched slightly from the dragons tone; Issei on the other hand, he simply smiled.

Issei: "No need to worry, Ddraig..."

He looked at Kuroka and Bikou with a cold glare.

Issei: "They were just leaving...."

He tilted his head slightly.

Issei: "Right?..."

Both Bikou and Kuroka remained silent at first; their eyes shifting over from Ddraig, to Issei, and then back to Ddraig again. It was clear to the two that their situation had just shot up from being bad to straight up worse.

Now, they were very confident with their abilities; they weren't no slouches. However, there was absolutely no way that they could take on one of the Heavenly Dragons.

Even if he didn't appear to have a physical body anymore; that didn't really matter since Ddraig was still extremely powerful. Heck, they were surprised that he didn't outright devour them when their backs were turned to him.

So, if they wanted to keep their lives then they had no choice but to agree to Issei's demands; though Kuroka didn't want to because she didn't want to leave without Shirone.

But it seems like she doesn't have much of a choice.

Bikou: "Y-yeah, we were just heading out right now!..."

He glanced at Kuroka.

Bikou: "Right babe?..."

Kuroka: "....."

She let out a small sigh.

Kuroka: "Yes, we were just leaving..."

She then looked over at Koneko.

Kuroka: "I hope to see you again soon, Shrione..."

Koneko narrowed her eyes.

Koneko: "Screw off..."

Kuroka giggled.

Kuroka: "Well, Tata for now..."

Bikou: "Yeah, see ya!"

Kuroka gave Issei one last glance before Bikou grabbed her; pulling her close to him and summoning a cloud underneath their feet.

Bikou: "Go! Flying Nimbus!"

With that, the two Khaos Brigade members took off into the air at a fast pace; Flying high into the sky. Issei, Koneko, and Rias watched as they flew for a good couple of seconds before disappearing through a purple portal that had opened up in front of them.

With Kuroka now gone; the trio watched as their surroundings were reverted back to their original state; the fog clearing and the beautiful night sky opening up again.

Issei stared at where Bikou and Kuroka disappeared from; a thoughtful look on the young mans face.

Issei: 'I doubt that will be the last time we see those two... but something doesn't make sense'

He crossed his arms.

Issei: 'If they weren't here to stop the signing; then why would they show up?...'

Suddenly, a system widow appeared in front of Issei. It was then followed by another one, then another, then another, another one, and another one.

Issei was practically swarmed by all of the system windows; he wanted to tell the system to buzz off. However, before he got a chance to do that... he saw what was on the screens.

[WARNING! Threat is attacking the party hall!]

[WARNING! Threat is attacking the party hall!]

[WARNING! Threat is attacking the party hall!]

Issei's eyes widen at the words that were on the screens.

Issei: 'Shit! That's not good!'

He quickly turned towards Rias and Koneko.

Issei: "Rias, Koneko!"

Koneko: "Issei-senpai, thank you fo-"

Issei: "You can thank me later, we gotta get back!"

This confused the two devils.

Rias: "Why? What's going on?"

Issei: "Everyone is getting attacked!"

Hearing this caused Rias and Koneko's eyes to widen in shock.

Koneko: "We gotta go!"

Rias: "We won't make it in time on foot"

Issei glanced back at Ddraig, a small grin forming onto his face as he gained an idea.

Issei: "We won't be running"

Rias: "Huh?"

Koneko: "Hm?"

The brown-haired boy turned to Ddraig.

Issei: "Ddraig, give us a lift back to the party!"

Ddraig: "As you command, my Liege"

(Flashback End)

Shock.

Silence

Everyone within the room; ranging from the Devils to a couple of the Deities were all shocked by what they were witnessing first hand.

Cerberus, the three-headed guardian of the Greek Underworld was currently standing in front of him and was facing off against one of the children of Loki, the God-killer Wolf; Fenrir.

To top it all off; Cerberus' appearance was completely different than what many could remember. Before it was a typical supernatural animal that had real fur, but looking at it now... Cerberus' body looked like it was made completely out of the shadows themselves.

Which made sense considering it had just risen up from Issei Hyoudou's shadow. But many of them wondered how the young man; a mere human, managed to tame such a beast?

The most shocked out of anyone in the room by far were those from the Greek Pantheon; mainly Hades. He couldn't believe his eyes, Cerberus was here. Cerberus was alive; kinda.... and he was obeying the person who had killed him.

The God of the underworld didn't know why Cerberus was obeying Issei Hyoudou; but he was determined to find out the answer.

Currently, both Issei and Loki were staring down each other with calm expressions; though by the look in their eyes, it was clear that the two were taking this seriously.

Cerberus and Fenrir were in the same boat as well; the two supernatural creatures were facing off against the other, growling and snarling while showing their fangs.

[Cerberus LV.20]

Rank: Elite Knight

Issei: 'It's a good thing I placed a shadow on Esil before I left the Demon King Castle...'

The brown-haired boy knew that this was gonna happen; he just knew that something bad was about to occur.

So before he departed for the Underworld; he made a quick pit stop back to the Demon King Castle and decided to get a little more muscle for his shadow army.

His power may not work on the likes of demons; believe him, he tried to bring them back but failed... so he picked up the next best thing and luckily for him Cerberus' corpse was still where he left it and in pretty good condition if he may add.

He shifted his gaze away from Loki and onto Fenrir, who continued growling.

[The Vánagandr, Fenrir]

Issei: 'At his current level, Cerberus should be more than enough to handle the likes of Fenrir...'

He then glanced back up at Loki.

[God of Mischief, Loki]

Issei: 'And while he does that, I will handle Loki myself'

He then narrowed his gaze a little.

Issei: 'Then again, there is a chance that this could be a clone... Loki was known to pull off the nastiest tricks'

Issei clenched one of his hands into a fist; a faint green glow came from one of his fingers.

Issei: 'Doesn't matter if he's a clone or the real one...'

He then opened up the same hand; which sparked with electricity before he proceeded to summon one of his Demon King Daggers.

His eyes glowed with a faint purple hue as he stared at Loki; whose eyes glowed with a faint green hue.

The God raised one of his hands.

Loki: "Fenrir..."

He snapped his fingers.

Loki: "ATTACK!"

The massive wolf roared loudly before it started charging towards Issei and Cerberus.

The brown-haired boy simply watched as he slowly raised his dagger up and pointed it directly at the charging Fenrir.

Issei: "Sick'em, Cerberus!"

After receiving a command from its new master; Cerberus' eyes; on each head, proceeded to flash with a purple light before unleashing a powerful roar of its own; one that shook the ground beneath its feet.

After it had finished with its roar, the Three-headed guardian immediately launched itself towards Fenrir.

Tables, chairs, food, and any unfortunate soul; demon, or fallen angel, were promptly knocked out of the way of the two charging beasts as they drew closer and closer together.

The two massive wolf-like creatures caught up to each other in a matter of seconds; slamming their bodies into one another and causing a shockwave throughout the entire room followed by the ground shaking as well.

People on the sidelines steady themselves with only a couple of the less powerful needing assistance from others around them.

After their brief clash, Fenrir backed up a little and attempted to swipe at Cerberus with its claws.

However, the three-headed guardian proved to be much faster than Fenrir; using its three heads, Cerberus bit down on different parts of Fenrir with one aiming for the neck and another aiming for the arm that Fenrir tried to use.

After biting down on Fenrir; Cerberus followed up on its assault by briefly lifting up the child of Loki into the air before slamming him back down into the ground.

Loki, who floated above watched all this and couldn't help but scowl in annoyance.

Loki: "How dare this beast..."

He held his hand out towards Cerberus, a magic circle full of Norse symbols appearing.

Loki: "Release my son, beast!"

However, before Loki had a chance to intervene in the battle below; he quickly noticed something in the corner of his eyes which caught his attention.

He dismissed the magic circle as he moved his head back; narrowing dodging avoiding the Demon King Dagger which was thrown by Issei.

Loki: "Throwing your weapon at me, huh?..."

He looked at the brown-haired boy with a small arrogant smirk.

Loki: "Is that really the best you can do?"

Issei didn't respond to Loki's words, the young man simply looked at the God with a smirk.

That wet off alarms within Loki's head, he didnt know why but he couldn't help but feel like that this wasn't him... that this wasn't Iss-

Before Loki could finish his thought; his eyes soon eiden as he sensed something before him. He quickly turned around and came face to face with.... another Issei Hyoudou?!

The young mans hand glowed blue as the Demon King Dagger came flying back into his grasp. This shocked Loki, but the God of Mischief didn't have time to comprehend what had just happened because he had to avoid an incoming slash from Issei.

Loki: "H-how did you?!..."

He quickly glanced back to where the boy was originally located and low and behold, Issei Hyoudou was still there and smirking at the god.

Loki: "W-what! There's two of you!?"

???: "Actually, make that three!"

Loki quickly turned his head in the direction of the voice; which in this case was up, and he was greeted by the sight of another Issei Hyoudou, but this one was using the ability of the S-rank Anubis item.

His claws sparked with violent purple electricity; his eyes glowing with the same hue as he grinned at the Norse deity.

Issei: "Try this on for size, Loki!"

With that, the young man launched his right arm towards Loki; who just barely had enough time to summon a barrier around himself. Once the claws made contact with the shield, the entire room was filled to the brim with dazzling flashes of green and purple light.

This resulted in everyone in the room; with some exceptions being from the other deities, having to cover their eyes from how bright the light was.

Luckily for them however, this would only last for a few seconds because after they covered their eyes; the bright flash that had engulfed the room slowly began dying down.

Once the light had fully died down; everyone was able to uncover their eyes and when they did they saw not one, not two, but THREE Issei Hyoudou's having off against Loki who was safely protected inside of his barrier.

The God of Mischief soon made the barrier around himself disappear as he stared down at the three Issei's with a narrow gaze.

Loki: "How is this possible?..."

The Issei in the middle couldn't help but let out a small chuckle.

Issei: "Come now, Loki. Surely you of all beings can tell that these are illusions!"

Loki scoffed and crossed his arms.

Loki: "Of course I can, but how is it that you are able to summon them?"

Issei merely raised an eyebrow at the God.

Issei: "Are you messing with me or do you truly not know?"

Loki: "If I knew then I wouldn't be asking you, mortal"

Issei: "I'm just surprised to be honest, after all..."

He raised up his right hand and showed off an all-to familiar ring made out of a gold-like material with a bright green jewel embedded within it.

Issei: "You're the one who gave me this ring..."

At first, Loki was confused by Issei's words; unsure about what the young man was talking about. What did he mean? What ring?

The God of Mischief looked at Issei's raised hand; narrowing his gaze at the faint green glow that was coming from one of his fingers and when he saw the ring, realization soon dawned upon him.

Loki: 'Wait a second...'

His eyes widened.

Loki: "That ring...."

Issei tilted his head.

Issei: "So you do recognize it, Loki"

The deity didn't say anything back; he just stared at the young man for a good while. However, before long Loki began to chuckle which slowly grew, before eventually turning into a full on laugh.

Loki: "HAHAHAHAHA!!"

Issei couldn't help but raise an eyebrow in confusion.

Issei: "What's so funny?"

Loki: "Hehe... Nothing, nothing. You will just have to forgive me, Issei Hyoudou"

He wiped away a non-existent tear from his eye.

Loki: "I have been so busy preparing Ragnarok; that it totally slipped my mind that I had given you that ring"

He then looked at the two other "Issei's" that stood side-by-side with the original.

Loki: "I see that it's power has been of great use to you?..."

Issei: "It has... served me well...."

He glanced down at the ring.

Issei: "Definitely has been of great assistance in my journey..."

A small smirk grew onto Loki's face.

Loki: "I am pleased to hear that..."

At that moment; both Cerberus and Fenrir continued their tussle with one another; the child of Loki briefly getting the upper hand in the scuffle and knocking the shadow soldier back.

Fenrir then got back up to its feet as it roared at Cerberus; who stood in front of Issei and snarled at the massive wolf.

Loki: "While I would like to continue this conversation, Issei Hyoudou. I'm afraid that I will have to cut this short"

Issei: "Then you should know that this battle has only just begun..."

Loki chuckled.

Loki: "Oh, I do know that..."

The lord of Mischief soon began to growl a malicious grin, his eyes glowing with a faint errie green glow.

Loki: "But not even you will be able to stop me from unleashing Ragnarok!"

Issei simply narrowed his eyes; which burned with a fierce purple aura.

Issei: "We will see about that...."

Loki: "Well then..."

He raised one of his hands as a small magic circle formed above.

Loki: "Shall we continue this batt-"

Unfortunately for Loki, he wasnt able to finish his sentence because all of a sudden; a green glow appeared directly below both him and Fenrir.

Loki: "Huh?"

The confused god looked down and was greeted by the sight of a green magic circle. Due to his confusion, this allowed the circle to grow bigger and bigger; rising upwards until both Loki and his son were encased in what appeared to be a pyramid made out green glass-like light.

Loki: "What in the name of the all-father?!"

???: "You left yourself wide open...."

Perking up by the unexpected voice, Loki; as well as Issei who was also confused, turned their heads towards the source of the voice and were met by the sight of a tall man who appeared to be in his early twenties. He had light blue eyes and slicked-back green hair.

Issei raised an eyebrow.

Issei: 'Who is he?...'

Loki growled.

Loki: "Beelzebub!"

Hearing Loki shout that name caused Issei to look at the name with a look of curiosity. If he recalled correctly; Beelzebub was someone who worked alongside Sirzechs, at least that is what Issei remembers Rias telling him.

Issei: 'So he's one of the Devil King's or whatever they're called...'

Loki stared at the man with an annoyed look; he was about to say something else but sadly for the God of Mischief, he wouldn't get the chance because in a matter of seconds.... both he and Fenrir proceeded to disappear from the room in a flash of green light.

???: "Well, that takes care of that..."

Sirzechs looked at the man.

Sirzechs: "Good work, Ajuka"

The man named Ajuka glanced over at the Devil King and nodded his head.

Ajula: "Not a problem, Sirzechs. Sealing away a god such as Loki was a little tricky... but luckily for us, it was the real one and not some illusion"

Sirzechs nodded in agreement.

Sirzechs: "Indeed..."

Issei's eyes widened in surprise; he thought that Ajuka simply trapped Loki and Fenrir. However, it seems that he was mistaken.

To seal away a god and a creature capable of killing a god; was such a thing really possible? Actually, Issei could already answer that question since it just happened in front of him.

Issei: "Well then..."

He made both his Demon King Dagger and the two clones of himself disappear.

Issei: "Guess that takes care of that..."

Suddenly, Issei was bumped into which caused him to turn his head towards it; seeing Cerberus nuzzling him with his three heads.

Issei: "Oh, Cerberus..."

He raised a hand and began scratching behind one of the head's ears.

Issei: "You did well out there today..."

He then petted the head of the one to his left.

Issei: "You all did, Good boy"

After hearing those words from the brown-haired boy; everyone in the room bared witness to one of the most shocking things that they will ever see.... Cerberus began wagging its tail.

Yep, the three-headed guardian tail began wagging side to side at incredible speed; almost knocking a couple of unfortunate people who stood behind the massive shadow.

Issei: "Yes, you're a good guy aren't you?"

Cerberus panted like a dog as Issei continued petting and scratching the three heads.

Issei: "Yes, yes you are. Yes you are a good boy"

Suddenly, all three of Cerberus' heads licked Issei at the same time which briefly lifted the young man off his feet.

Issei: "Woah! Easy boy"

Once they were done with their lick; Cerberus proceeded to sit down on the ground, staring down at Issei while its tail continued wagging.

Wiping the slobber from his face, Issei glanced up at his new shadow soldier.

Issei: "I guess that's something I'm gonna need to get used to..."

???: "Indeed, he is quite the licker...."

Issei immediately froze on the stop when he heard the news voice; it wasn't one that he was familiar with but he could feel the authority behind it.

Slowly turning his head, Issei's eyes soon widened as he was greeted by the sight of someone that he didn't want to run into while he was down here; no, not Ra. The person in question was none other than....

Hades.

The God of the underworld stared at Issei.

Hades: "Hello, Issei Hyoudou. I believe we have much to... discuss"

He tilted his head a little.

Hades: "Wouldn't you agree?"

Issei didn't respond back to the god's words; although he did silently groan to himself.

Issei: 'Fuuuuuck! I knew that this would happen...'
