The first person to leave his side was Iemitsu.

Tsuna was still young back then and although he doesn't really understand why Nana was smiling even though she looked so sad, he knew, without a doubt, that this strange man walking out of the door will never come back for him. When he lifted his small hand and waved, that became his first goodbye.

The second person to leave his side was his favorite lion plushie, Natsu.

Nana had bought him when she saw how captivated he was at Natsu. But when another jealous child tried to take him away, Natsu was ripped to two. Nana had tried to console him by saying that she would be able to fix Natsu but Tsuna merely stared, not a single tear shed, and shook his head no. Carrying his Natsu, Tsuna gently placed him in the bin and waved, making that his second goodbye.

The third person to leave his side was a black cat named Kuro.

Kuro was a stray cat that would sometimes come by to his house and sit patiently outside, waiting for the occupants to notice him and give him food. Tsuna was usually the one who gave him food, which was why Kuro and Tsuna got along so well. But then, one day, while Tsuna was walking back home with Nana, he saw Kuro getting hit by a car. Nana tried to make him look away but Tsuna just stared, eyes wide with sadness, and waved, marking it his third goodbye.

Years passed and Tsuna had said a lot of goodbyes to so many, he lost count.

Tsuna was so used to saying goodbye, he forgot how to ask them to stay.

He never asked them, never stopped them from leaving, never even tried to stop them from walking away. Instead, he stood there quietly, eyes closed to hide his tears, lips smiling to stop himself from pleading, and hands waving instead of holding them tightly.

When Reborn arrived to his home, all Tsuna could think was 'Ah, I have to say goodbye to him too.'

But he never did.

Reborn did many things. From kicking him without any reason to mocking his clumsiness, Reborn did everything in his power to make Tsuna's life miserable. But he never left Tsuna's side. And Tsuna doesn't know what to do with that.

Not just Reborn, there were some that slowly came into his life and stayed, never once leaving him all alone again. Gokudera, Yamamoto, Ryohei, Lambo, Chrome, even Mukuro and Hibari, stayed in his life. But it's not just them. There's so many more people that stuck around, so many names he could say, it made him speechless.

Tsuna doesn't know what to do, he never had so many individuals, so many person, so many people, staying instead of leaving. And he doesn't want them to leave, doesn't want to be alone again, but he doesn't know how to say it.

'Please stay.'

Tsuna was so used to saying goodbye, he forgot how to ask them to stay.

But maybe this time, he will remember how.
