Chapter 2
Soon after those words escaped the stranger's mouth, her eyes went into a dazed opening and closing moment before she stumbled forward; she tried to regain her balance but failed to do so.
As an aspect to his princely attributes, Roman was used to catching falling damsels and anyone in general really. He launched himself forward towards the falling human, using one arm to support her shoulder blades and the other to support her lower back.
Patton let out a loud surprise yelp, as he watched her fall. "Who the... How the... What?"
Logan stood silent, calculating the scene around him. "I do believe... We are encountering another physical embodiment of an asset contributing to Thomas' personality. Or as we've been more commonly known as, another Sanders Side."
"AH! There's another one?" Thomas yelled in surprise. He was put a bit on edge by the presence of the new being, especially because this person had fainted upon arrival. And not to mention, this person (Despite being another one of his Sides, according to Logan) looked different to the rest and had a pretty big difference; they had a female body.
"Thomas, please collect your calm mental stability. But I do not blame you for acting in such a way; this is Fear, Thomas." Logan said, taking in the details of the unconscious girl, "All of my suspicions lead to that conclusion."
Virgil has froze against the wall, not making a sound. He looked at the others with a worried look in his eye, he quickly flicked his eyes to focus on each man individually.
"Virgil, what do you know of this maiden?" Roman asked, standing to carry the new Side in a bridal position.
Virgil let out a small quiet sigh, "As much as I hate to admit it, Logan is right. That's Fear, she's a bit... Different to the rest of us."
"No kidding." Thomas said, struggling to process the fact that not only had another side appeared but that this side had such a unique difference. Despite that she still had the brown hair with the dyed purple ends that all of them shared, Thomas couldn't believe that she was actually a part of his personality. Now, he wasn't trying to sound sexist toward this. Not at all! After witnessing so many male sides, he supposed he had just grown accustomed to that.
Patton tilted his head to the side, "Is she alright? She seems a little pale."
"Why is it whenever someone has pale skin, everyone assumes their sick?" Virgil muttered with a roll of his eyes, "Yeah, she's fine. Just, lay her down so her body rests."
"And when did you become a qualified doctor, Hot Topic?" Roman questioned, although he did follow through with Virgil's advice.
"I didn't, I just know what's needed when she faints."
"So, I will continue with my assumption that you two have history?" Logan asked as he watched Roman lay down the pale side.
"I guess." Virgil shrugged slightly.
"What was she talking about kiddo? About someone coming?" Patton asked, deciding to bring light to the topic no one else had seemed to pay attention to yet.
"I... Am as completely clueless as you lot are. There's a lot of things that happen in," Virgil paused and made quotation marks with his fingers, " 'Dark Side' domain."
All five pairs of brown eyes stared at the girl in Roman's arms as each one of them fell silent at Virgil's comment.
Roman was the first to break this silence a few moments later, "So... What's you're saying is that some sort of trouble has spurred her to appear?"
"Yeah, basically." Virgil confirmed with a nod, "Something tells me she's been trying to appear for a long time..."
"But because you scared me to the point I was actually fearful, she was summoned." Thomas finished, looking at Virgil who nodded once more.
Logan opened his mouth to add his option on the matter before he noticed the darkly clothed woman stirring slightly. He watched as she gently moved her lips, as if she was mumbling something.
Patton was crouching down in an instant, his ear next to her mouth. He crouched there in silence for a moment before look around at them all, "She just keeps repeating 'Anx'. I know I'm not the smartest but even I know that's got something to do with Virgil."
"What is with you and this girl?" Roman asked loudly, "Because if she's some sort of ex, I do not want to her involved with that beef. I'd prefer to not spill that tea."
Virgil rolled his eyes, "She isn't that kind of a person to me, she just... Means a lot to me."
Thomas arched an eyebrow, "O-Kay? But what do we do until she comes around?"
Logan adjusted his glasses, "Why, we wait of course. Gather data and assess from there."
