"I have to go, half deputy stuff you know." Meowed Appleclaw. "I get it." Replied Jayclaw. She began to head out. "Wait!" Meowed Jayclaw. Appleclaw turned. "I need catnip, can you have a warrior or two escort me?"  He asked. "Sure!" She meowed.

Appleclaw padded up to Leafwing and Squirellpool. "Can you escort Jayclaw to get catnip?" She asked them. "Sure!" They both meowed.

Jayclaw padded out of the medicine cat den. He met the two warriors and they padded out of camp.

"Hey pretty kitty." Meowed a too familiar voice.
"Hello Tigertail." Meowed Appleclaw.
"Would you like to go hunting with me?" He asked hoping she said yes.

He had let his feelings out more then ever. He was never and I mean never mean to Appleclaw. She however didnt return the same affection.

"Sure fuzz ball, we need more prey." Meowed Appleclaw.
"What's with the name?" He asked.
"Just because." She meowed and ran out of camp.
"Hey!" He meowed and chased after her.

They padded along side by side on the path in the calm, silent forest.
"Hey Appleclaw...." He began
"Shh." She meowed quietly.
"What?" He meowed
"Shh." She meowed again.
"You can't do that to me!" He meowed.
"Shut up." She hissed and covered his mouth with her tail.
He tried to mumble.
Appleclaw suddenly dashes off after a mouse.
"Wow." He whispers in aw. Her pelt blew in the breeze she made when she ran. Her eyes gazed at the mouse she chased. Her small legs not stopping her from catching that mouse. Then suddenly she takes a leap of faith and leaped at the mouse. She caught its tail. The mouse squirmed to be let free. She snaked her other paw in the mouse to keep it there. She then bite the mouse, killing it in seconds. She smiled at the prey she had just caught.
"T-that was amazing!" Meowed Tigertail as Appleclaw padded back over to him with the mouse in her jaw. She dropped the small creature to the dirt floor.
"Why? Because you watched me instead of finding prey?" She asked.
"Yes, no, maybe." He meowed.
She laughed. "Don't worry, you just needed to watch an expert.
"Hey!" He snapped.
She began to burst onto laughter.
"Shut up!" He meowed blushing.
Appleclaw stopped and picked up her mouse.
"Where are you going?" Asked Tigertail.
She flicked her tail toward the direction of camp.
"Oh." He meowed.
Appleclaw padde away toward the camp.

"Why didn't I tell her." Sighed Tigertail.

Back at camp, Appleclaw placed the mouse in the clan fresh kill pile.
Jayclaw, Leafwing, and Squirelpool padded into camp with herbs. They went strait to the medicine cat den. They stayed in the den for a few moments, and then Squirrelpool and
Leafwing padded out of the medicine cat den. Appleclaw waited until they were farther away and sliptes into the medicine cat den.

"Hey!" Meowed Appleclaw as she saw
Jayclaw organizing the newly gathered herbs.
"Hello." He meowed quickly looking up at her.
"Need help?" She asked sitting down next to him.
"Yes please," he meowed, "Robinpaw is checking on the queens."
"Makes sense." She meowed looking at the pile of herbs.
She watched him and asked "What do I do?"
He looked at her and remembered 'she won't know, she is a warrior.'
"Well, you see how this herb looks like this herb over in this pile." He meowed.
She nodded noticing how the two herbs looked exactly alike.
"Then you put that herb in that pile." He meowed.
"Alright, easy enough, and hey weren't you just getting catnip?" She meowed.
"That was the plan, but we picked up some more while we were out." Meowed Jayclaw.
"Ok, just you normally don't stock up so much, is something going to happen?" Asked Appleclaw.
"No, I just wanted to get some more herbs." He meowed.
"Alright." Meowed Appleclaw and helped him sort some more herbs.

The two cat finished sorting.
"That took a long time, is this what you do everyday?" Meowed Appleclaw.
"Well no, a few times every moon, we also check on cats and hunt." Meowes Jayclaw.
"Don't forget hang out with me!" Meowed Appleclaw.
"That to." Meowed Jayclaw.

"I should go make sure Tigertail made us way back to camp." She meowed.
"Tigertail?" He asked.
"Ohh, we went hunting, just us two, after I caught a mouse I left." She meowed.
" Ohh." He meowed.
"See you." She meowed padding out of the den.
