Stefan, Rebekah, Elena, and Eira stood near the shore of the island where their boats were. It was the only place they could get a signal. Elena was on the phone with Caroline, wanting to get her help from home. That help being getting the sword from Klaus so they could figure out where the cure was. Eira wasn't in Mystic Falls to convince Klaus to give up the sword, but Klaus and Kol were locked in Elena's living room so Caroline was going to search his house until she found it. They were just waiting around for Caroline to find it.

Caroline called back saying she found the sword but it was in symbols she didn't understand so she couldn't translate it. So, they had to get help from someone else, a person that was super old and knew everything. That person being Klaus.

Caroline walked into the Gilbert household with the phone in her hand. She had the sword and the pictures of Jeremy's tattoo. She set them all down in the room next to the room where Klaus and Kol were trapped. The plan was to have Eira convince Klaus over the phone to help them translate the sword.

Eira had a phone in her hand and she awaited Caroline's call. Eira stood a little away from everyone. She was not okay with this plan. She didn't like convincing Klaus to do things. She glared at all of them. She was also upset that Damon was nowhere to be found and she was worrying.

"You know, all of you should practice some persuasion skills," Eira said to all of them.

"We'll get right on that, after we find the cure," Stefan spoke.

The phone rung and Eira answered,"Caroline. Is Klaus there?"

"Yep. I'm in the Gilbert house with the sword. It just needs to be translated," Caroline answered.

Eira sighed and glared at all of them before moving away further away from them,"Okay, you can put him on the phone now."

Caroline looked towards the living room and she walked over to it but she didn't go past the boundary spell. Klaus had listened to the phone call and he heard Eira's voice.

Caroline held the phone out to him,"Here. Take it."

Klaus grabbed the phone and he held it to his ear. He spoke into the phone,"I'm listening, love."

Eira's heart jumped at the sound of his voice. She struggled with what to say first, but her mouth spoke before her mind even thought,"Is Kol awake?"

"You want to talk to me and the first thing you ask me about is my brother," Klaus rolled his eyes.

Kol smirked,"Face it, Nik, she's hopelessly in love with me."

Klaus glared at Kol and Eira heard Kol slightly in the background. Eira sighed,"I just didn't want you to be mad at me."

Klaus's glare went away as he focused back on Eira's voice and he turned away from Kol, speaking gently,"I'm not mad at you, love. I'm just sorry that I said horrible things to you. Things I didn't mean. I shouldn't have. Can you ever forgive me?"

"You're already forgiven," Eira answered immediately, but then she bit her lip. "But, um....I need you to translate the sword."

"Of course you do," Klaus responded, bitterly, hating having her ask things of him, manipulate him.

"It's the only way to find the cure, okay? So, please, will you translate it?" Eira pleaded with him in a sugary sweet voice without even knowing that was how she was speaking.

Klaus had already melted as soon her voice was heard from the phone. He would do anything for her. His heart desired to please her in any way that he could.

"I'll translate it," Klaus promised. "For you."

Eira blushed even though she was on the phone. Swarms of air rushed all around in her stomach, creating a fluttering effect. She smiled brightly.

"Thank you," Eira said, sheepishly.

"Caroline will call you when it's done," Klaus said and he hung up the phone.

Klaus handed the phone back to Caroline. Kol was smirking at Klaus. Caroline then handed the sword and the pictures of Jeremy's tattoo to Klaus.

"Brother, you've become so soft for this girl," Kol teased.

"Shut up, Kol," Klaus glared.

Eira walked back to the three other people on the beach. She handed the phone to Elena and then she sat down next to Stefan. She didn't bother to explain, they had all listened in. She exhaled a breath, the fluttering in her stomach still pattered away. She rested her head on Stefan's shoulder.

"I think I feel sick," she admitted to Stefan.

Stefan chuckled and wrapped an arm around her,"That's not being sick, Eira."

"Then what is it? It feels all weird," Eira tried explaining, looking up at Stefan.

Stefan sighed and smiled down at her,"That's love, Eira. That's just love."

Eira's eyes widened and heart skipped a beat before slowing down again. She avoided that topic, though and focused in on the cure.

"You didn't tell me that you wanted the cure, Stef," Eira said, softly.

"I mean, why wouldn't I want to take it? I've seen every side of vampirism there is. The power...the misery, the guilt. In the long run, even the good parts kind of suck, too," Stefan explained.

"So, you wouldn't want me to become a vampire?" Eira questioned.

"You do whatever your heart desires. Don't let me hold you back from what you want," Stefan encouraged.

"But...but, we're twins," Eira started. "We're supposed to stick together. Forever. That was the plan."

Elena and Rebekah both listened in to what Stefan had to say. Elena was wondering if Stefan would be like Damon, and choose Eira. Rebekah just didn't want to lose Stefan.

"I know," Stefan stated with a frown, knowing that he was going to disappoint her. "But, plans change, Eira."

Eira had moved away from Stefan after that. She was sad that she would lose her twin to old age. Eira was set on becoming a vampire, but she didn't want to lose Stefan. Caroline finally called them, but she called Rebekah because Elena's phone signal went out. Caroline emailed the map and and the instructions to the cure to her. On the phone, Klaus revealed to her that there was only one dose of the cure.

Eira, Stefan, and Elena followed Rebekah's instructions to lead them to the cure. Rebekah led them to a ledge where they had to jump down. Elena went first and jumped down, landing on her feet easily. Eira looked down at the ground in fear, she did not want to fall down there nor did she want to jump.

"Eira, I'll just carry you," Stefan said, walking towards Eira.

Eira held a hand up, stopping him,"No, I have a different, preferred way."

Stefan looked at her in confusion. Eira looked down at the ground again and she lifted one of her hands up in the air. At the bottom of the huge cliff, a giant tree stump grew out of the ground and grew quickly, rising until it came to the top of the ledge where Eira was. Stefan looked on in amazement.

Eira stepped on to the tree stump. She had a bunch of vines grow and wrap around her arms so she had something to hold onto. She looked at Stefan and Rebekah,"I'll see you at the bottom."

The tree stump started going back into the ground, lowering Eira down until the tree stump was completely in the ground and Eira's feet touched actual land. The vines went away and Elena looked at her in shock. There wasn't any trace that a tree stump had just grown out of the ground.

Stefan was about to jump down after Eira but Rebekah stopped him. Rebekah told him how there was only one dose of the cure, making Stefan upset.

"So you're sure that Klaus is telling the truth? That there's only one dose of the cure?" Stefan questioned and Rebekah gently nodded.

"Well, I guess that's what happens when you're dumb enough to hold out hope," Stefan stated.

"You're better off as a vampire, Stefan. Eira is your twin, you couldn't possibly leave her to old age. I wouldn't let you do that for me," Rebekah said.

"Then we'll get that one does of the cure for you. I'll give it to you," Stefan promised and he grabbed Rebekah's hand, holding it. "We'll get the cure."

Rebekah believed in Stefan. They walked over to the edge of the cliff together and they jumped down. Then all of them walked across the rocky part of land together and found the cave that they had to go in.

They got inside and they all heard Damon speak,"You don't know my friends...Or my enemies."

There was a guy holding a gun aimed at Damon and now at all of them, mostly Rebekah because she was in the lead.

"Are we gonna dance or are we gonna play?" Damon questioned.

"He can't hurt me, Damon, unless he's got the white oak stake," Rebekah stated.

"Oh, he doesn't, but he's got other toys," the hunter said.

He shot Rebekah three times and she vamp sped at him, grabbing him by the throat but he stabbed something into her chest, making her take a step back. The hunter held out a fuse, revealing he stabbed her with a grenade. The grenade detonated and the wooden spikes in the grenade shot out into her body all the way through to her back, neutralizing her. Rebekah falls to the ground, temporarily dead.

Damon vamp sped at the hunter and engages him in hand to hand combat but the hunter pushed Damon back. The hunter brought out another gun and fired it, a lasso-like device shot out and attached Damon to a wooden pole. The rope was covered in vervain because it burned Damon. Damon made choking noises and the hunter got away, going down into a hole in the cave.

Stefan quickly went to Damon and tried pulling the rope off but it burned Stefan's hands, making it difficult. Eira went over to Rebekah and pulled the wooden spikes out of her, but she was still unconscious.

"You're wasting time. Just get the cure. Go," Damon said.

"We're not going to leave you," Eira shook her head.

"No, we aren't," Stefan looked at Elena and Eira. "You two just go ahead. We'll be right behind you. Go."

Eira hesitated along with Elena, but they both gave in. Eira went over to the hole in the cave ground. Eira grew a tree stump again and stepped onto it along with Elena. It took them down like an elevator and then they stepped off.

Eira and Elena went through the cave paths trying to find the path that led them to the cure. They didn't find it yet. All of the sudden they heard a noise like a rock fell.

"Stefan!" Eira called out.

Eira was in front of Elena as they looked all around for what they just heard. Elena called out a 'hello', trying to figure out who it was. There was a whoosh of air behind them, making Elena and Eira look that way.

When they turned their heads back around, they were both shocked to see Katherine. Elena took a step forward to fight Katherine but Eira was in the way.

"Eira, get out of the way," Elena said.

Elena pushed Eira at what she intended to be a light push, just pushing slightly so she would be moved out of the way. But Elena's vampire strength had made Eira go flying into the cave walls, hitting her head harshly and a resounding crack echoed through the caves.

"Oh my god," Elena was focused on Eira, on the fact that she accidentally hurt her.

Elena wasn't focusing on Katherine and she was mad that she hurt Eira. Katherine vamp sped toward Elena and she punched her hand through Elena's chest, making her gasp. Then Katherine ripped out her doppelgänger's heart.

"Oops," Katherine dropped the heart to the ground.

Elena Gilbert had just died.

Katherine rushed towards Eira who was clutching her bleeding head in pain as she knelt on the cave ground. Eira screamed as pictures of hidden moments in her brain seemed to slice up to the surface.

She remembered when they first met and the way the sound of her name from his lips made her nervous. She remembered how she loved his eyes, his stormy blue eyes. She remembered when he showed her the city of Chicago. She remembered her promise of eternity to him. She remembered that she was in love with Niklaus Mikaelson.

Katherine kept shouting Eira's name as Eira cried and clutched her head as the memories piled on top of each other. Once they were all clear in her head, Eira looked up at Katherine.

"I remember. I remember everything."

___________________

Eira and Katherine walked through the cave pathways once Eira recovered. Katherine gave her vampire blood because she hit her head and she didn't want Eira to become seriously hurt.

"You didn't have to kill her," Eira stated to Katherine about Elena. Eira felt bad that Elena died.

"Please," Katherine rolled her eyes. "She deserved it."

Katherine and Eira found the part of the cave where Silas was buried with the cure. Bonnie and Jeremy were in there. Katherine used vampire speed and knocked them all out.

Katherine and Eira walked up to Silas's encased in stone body. Eira held out her arm to Katherine. Katherine figured out what she was doing and Katherine bit her wrist.

Eira then held her bleeding wrist over Silas's mouth. She only allowed a drop onto Silas. Silas's entire body seemed to regenerate quickly with only one drop of Eira's blood. Eira's blood was regenerative. Katherine grabbed the cure and they stepped back from Silas. Katherine then vamp sped away with Eira, getting her away from Silas.

Katherine brought her out of the cave and to another part of the island where she had a boat that brought her to the island.

"What are you even going to do with the cure?" Eira questioned as she took a step back.

"Give it to Klaus. Get my freedom," Katherine answered.

"So, I guess this is goodbye then?" Eira asked, sadly.

"For now," Katherine said.

Eira wrapped her arms around Katherine in a hug and Katherine hugged her back. Eira pulled away from Katherine.

"Goodbye Kat."
