I got knocked out as I started dreaming about something called the... Holy artifact. I was walking closer to it when there was a flash of light and I woke up. When my eyes could finally see, I was presumably in a cave. The cave's color was midnight blue with these chunks of blue crystals stuck on the walls. Looking towards my toe, I saw my white rib cage and my white bone toes. Sigh I guess I really am an undead.

I looked at my stats a few more times and read up on my skills thoroughly. Strangely this language on the screen, i have never seen this language. But somehow I can understand the language.

I got rid of the screens in front of me and sat up. Around me were just hundreds and thousands of corpses. They all wore similar clothing which was a cape and a few pieces of grey, roughed up armor. The way they dressed made me believe they were most likely a part of a mercenary group. The corpses were already quite rotted and none of the clothing fit them right anymore. I got up and looked at the corpse right next to me. It was a bit messed up but they were already dead. I crouched and started taking everything the corpse had. I worried that I might not be able to take everything but thankfully, all of the mercenaries had storage rings with things like food and water already inside. So for the next 11 hours or so, I looted all of their bodies. Some of the interesting ones I found were, First, A book. It was the 69th body and as soon as I touched the book, this screen popped up.

I clicked yes and went on. Some of the other best equipment I got was a few things. First, I got a necklace that summoned a near unbreakable shield. Sadly, this was a consumable item so I could only use it 5 times. The other one was a ring that gave +5 to all stats. And the sword I'm using was a broadsword that didn't have anything particularly good but had decent stats. And the last one I collected was a pouch of money. Not for any particular reason. I just really like money.

I figured out if an item is good or not by the screen that pops up when I touch it. It gives a basic description of the item and then a rating of the item. For example, the necklace I got was a epic Item. The ring I got was a rare item. After I looted and equipped everything, I sat down next to the wall. I turned my head and looked at a small chunk of the captivating blue crystal. Touching it, I got a description of what it was.

My eyes opened wide as I took my hand off of the crystal. They were extremely valuable and the part or the cave he was in had a big chunk of mana Crystal's in every single corner. The ground, roof and walls. My greed came out as I unsheath my sword. 'Let's start the excavation'.

The sound of grunting and two metals hitting each other rang throughout the part of the cave he was in. The sword he wielded became dull and lost its sharpness ages ago. But because of that, he didn't feel any remorse when he used the sword as a shovel or like a lever. It has already degraded from being a broad sword to being a thing of metal.

This went on for three days before he finished excavating the entire area. Apparently half of the crystals he thought was mana crystal was another crystal called luminous crystal. A crystal rated uncommon that lights up blue in darkness. He kept those untouched since he didn't want the cave to be pitch black.

In total, he got 177,899 shards of mana crystals. Each shard was a bit bigger than a standard dagger and was shaped like a diamond. He grabbed one shard from one of the many storage rings he had and saw this screen pop up.

He clicked yes as the shard started releasing a blue aura. The bright blue aura hastily moved towards his body. As time went on, the mana crystal lost its color bit by bit. And after a minute or so, the shard was now hollow and easily breakable. He then checked his Mana pool and his magic mastery.

My mana pool Tripled? Well I am only level 1 but that's nice.

Even though my mana capacity tripled, my magic mastery did not rise. Perhaps these 'mastery' can only increase through practice.

While on my 300 or 400th mana shard, I suddenly heard some metal clanging. I shot up and ran towards the area. Keep in mind my body is covered head to toe by my armors and Capes. When I reached where the sound was coming from, I saw presumably a female knight fighting 4 decent sized kobolds. And she was definitely losing. Being a chivalrous skeleton king, I ran in with my sword. Even though I have never wielded a blade before, I somehow knew what techniques to use and how to deal with them. The first kobold wielded a dagger and bolted towards my neck. It held his dagger reverse grip and leaped. I slashed my sword down and cut the kobold in two pieces. The other kobold came with a sword. It held his sword's reverse grip as well and jumped up with both of its hands on the grip. I side stepped its attack as the other two came at me with its short dagger. These monsters know how to fight together. When the two jumped, I saw the solo kobold about to stab my knee. I decided to use mana armor and I cleaved the two kobolds mid air using slash. When the kobold attacked my mana armor, its sword deflected and using that time, I stabbed my sword through its head.

My magic mastery was level 8 and was at the magic mastery tier ı stage. I increased my magic mastery by using magic armor and just controlling the mana around me. So my knowledge of mana was quite deep. I knew what beings were favoured by magic., what being had dirty mana, which being was favored by mana and more. A good thing of having magic mastery meant I could see mana. The mana in my body, in my enemies body and my surroundings. So when looking at this female knight, I saw her mana flow all entangled and overlapping. And her mana was way below the safe point. She was suffering from mana depletion.

Before she could thank me or get up, I went behind her and rested my palms on her back. She obviously questioned me but before she could say something, I inserted my Mana Into her body. The knight arched her back as her eyes glowed blue and my mana which was bright like the mana Crystals, moved into her veins. The mana was visible inside her body. And I thought it was cool seeing all of her veins and nerves glow up.

After about half an hour, I stabilized her mana and took my hand off of her back. The knight fell from exhaustion as I put a blanket over her. She needed some rest. I myself was also exhausted. After resting for a few minutes, I checked my notification feed.
