V. Anomalous Delegate
"Someone else has been sent back in time...?" Yoojeong's yawn cut short as she gasped and sprang up, her sore back snapping with a quick crack. Words left her mouth before she could have time to contemplate, the certain events causing her to blame anything and everything. Even this figureless voice. "Who even are you? Where are you? I accepted that I had been brought back to save TWS from a possible monster so what do you mean someone is trying to make sure they come across the monster?"
"Dear Yoojeong. As a time traveller, you should know, the world holds many secrets beyond mere human comprehension. It matters not who this person is. Not for now at least. What does matter is their actions. What they will do to alter your efforts and force the individuals to walk toward the beastly creature."
The transcendental voice boomed in her tiny little unit, every word a different form of impossible. Travelling back in time was tough enough to deal with, and now she had to face things that never even happened before? If the Lords were testing her, they were doing a dang good job.
"There is no point in secrecy anymore. Show yourself. Explain all this to me!" Yoojeong shrieked, holding her head with both her hands, mere inches away from ripping her hair out, a loud hysterical scream escaping her throat.
No reply. Not a single word echoed back.
Unable to hold back her idiosyncrasy, she caterwauled, her raving cries filling the room, tears streaking across her cheeks, eyes flying wild, hands clutching her face.
"Ahhh!" Yoojeong's aver tore through the walls, her lips parting with thin cages of saliva, her voice breaking with loud, uncontrollable chokes. Coughing and crying, she shook her head, as if trying to detach all the unnatural memories held in her brain.
It was too much.
It was all just too much. To accept everything that was going on was too much.
Yoojeong's frenzy carried across the saddened room as the clock above the window ticked forward relentlessly. Time had no reason to wait for her crash out. And then it happened.
The reply to her questions, to her fear, to her panic, appeared in the form of a beautiful golden light. Feeling the luminescence on her, Yoojeong looked through her fingers, glancing at the strange light falling in the room from nowhere. "What...what is this..."
For a while, the glow stayed. Illuminating the cracks in the room in its bright splendor, turning even the dingy appearance into an art worth praising. Yoojeong simply stared, confusion lining her forehead. Nothing explained how the light radiated in the room. The sun had long gone down the horizon and the moonlight or the streetlight didn't explain such an intense sheen.

The light began thinning, and soon enough, dissipated completely, leaving behind a strange new figure floating mid-air. Yoojeong's eyes widened, her form stunned and rigid. "Man!" She said aloud. Yoojeong couldn't believe that the beautiful, ethereal voice guiding her came from a rather indifferent man. "You are a man!" Her words caught in her throat, pointing a shaking, accusatory finger at the figure.

"Hm. I don't like the way you are talking right now." The man sighed, his pristine white blazer swaving against invisible air, his form outlined in a bright white glow. Suddenly, the individual began circling around the room, as if assessing the place. A single brow arched as his gaze landed on Yoojeong's surprised expression. "Do humans not encounter otherworldly creatures?"
Yoojeong stuttered, unable to find the words to express what she was feeling at the moment. Everything seemed to be going in a direction she didn't ever take or understand and this being, casually labelled her an idiot for feeling such. Her form shivered, scared of whatever this being in front of her was.
"Oh how cliché," the man clicked his tongue.
"You!" Yoojeong finally said, sitting up straighter. "What are you? Who are you? Why did you bring me back in time? And if you have powers why didn't you simply help us? Why---"
"One at a time, miss." The man interjected, his form hovering closer to her face. He twirled around playfully for a while before fashioning in an upended state all while Yoojeong's eyes followed him. "One. I am a spirit. Two. I assist with the world's laws, call me whatever you like. Three. It would seem you are the one who can save those boys. Four. I can't simply use my powers on Earth. Anything else?"
"I---if you can't use your powers then how did you turn back time?"
He emanated closer, his face mere inches away from touching hers, legs still hoisted upward. "You are a bit slow, huh? I simply tricked time. That means, I used the power in my world in such a way that it would affect yours indirectly. Now. If I were to save you from the beast that day, I would have to directly attack the beast and that would require me to use the power on Earth directly. Do you get it?"
Yoojeong swallowed hard, her eyes glued in front, refusing to let go of the sight of him, afraid that he might set off something disastrous even if she so much as blinked. She backed away slowly, using her palms pressed against the bed for support.
"I am not here to hurt you. So let's stop acting like I'm the beast, okay?" He said, floating away. His form rose higher in hr air, piercing through the ceiling. In an instant, he was gone.
"Uh...hello?" Yoojeong gawked at the plafond, her head spinning with a million questions. "Are you there? Did you just leave like that?" She called out, more vociferous this time, her voice echoing in the pygmy cabin. "Mister white?" Her voice amplified further, and then a head poked out from the ceiling, white hair swaggering with the wind that didn't even exist.
"That's a sad name. And you live in a sad place." He said shaking his head.
"Can you please just come down? Just seeing your head stuck to the ceiling is creepy!" Yoojeong shivered. The man rolled his eyes, descending toward the floor, his frame inverted, bottom-side-up. His headbrushed the floor, wind-borne in front of her bed, his gaze locked on her. With his legs crossed in mid-air, he remained to seem effortlessly elegant, hands folded in front of his chest.
"So? Did you make peace with the fact that there is a handsome man in your room?"
"You are so full of yourself." Yoojeong scoffed, a sharp edge, perhaps curiosity toward the man, replacing the fear in her mien.
"Quite audacious of you to say that to someone like me." The man said, his voice devoid of any emotions anent her, yet she caught the faint smirk marking his lips.
"Sure," Yoojeong hopped off the bed and shuffled towards him, a few mere steps. She bent down on her knees upon reaching precisely in front of him, hands on her thighs, her eyes scanning the delineation.
"Stop looking at me like a pervert." He remarked, looking away.
"I'll call you sir jaadochwi ja," Yoojeong said, ignoring his annotation.
[Note: Jaadochwi Ja would translate to Narcissistic in Korean]
"Hah!" He fumed as he spun straight, standing upright. Yoojeong looked up at him, tilting her head slightly. "You are asking to be hit, aren't you? How dare you!"
Yoojeong smiled as she stood up. "Why? Because it's not cliché anymore?"
"You accepted me being here very quickly you know," he said, adjusting his blazer as he sat facilely in the air, ostensibly on a chair, one leg crossed over the other.
"Well. I accepted being thrown in a time work quite quickly as well. Saving TWS comes first. All else can come later."
The man glanced around the room before looking back at her. "Why do you care about those boys so much anyway?"
Yoojeong walked towards the window, the man following her with every step, his back facing the wall. Her eyes ran down the horizon, hands on the edge. "I don't care about them enough. Even now, though they don't even know me well, I could see the worry they held for me."
"Is that enough of a reason to accept such a fate?" He asked, peering at her gloomy yet smiling side profile.
"They will mourn for me."
"What?" Her words rattled him, he could never even assume such a response.
"They are the only ones who will mourn for me." Yoojeong continued, her words carrying all of the wounds she had been italicised with, in this life and the last.
"...Ralph."
"What?" Yoojeong turned to look at him.
"That's my name. Ralph."
