(Wakandan Refugee/Vanguard Forward Operations camp, Wakandan Outskirts, 10:00 AM.)

     Carol Danvers spent resting on the bed as the other members of the Infinity Avengers were volunteering along with the SHIELD Agents and the other Avengers. She just woke up after the attack eight hours. The blonde Kree-Hybrid woman slowly sat-up and looked at her wounds. It returned to her normal skin color.

    " Those people rescued me. I thought I was going to die at that moment, " she thought and sighed. " I wish Methie's here with me, but he's back on Hala with Coulson. I hope he's thinking about me right now. Boy, he would be in big trouble like I had earlier. "

     Carol looked at the Mind Stone and tried to recall the events transpired in the palace as she connected her energy to the Infinity Stone. The blonde woman widened her eyes in apprehension. It was the most terrible experience she ever had. Some people from the outside murmured when she kept the stone. Carol heard some familiar voices from the outside. It was her son talking to Kai and Skoúro. 

    " So, it happened? " the pyromancer spoke. " Thank goodness, my wife and the others found you two alive. " 
 

    " Mom almost killed by an entity somewhere else, " Amnon answered. 

    " It's too dangerous for Carol and Big Bro to face that freak, " the dark angel replied. 

 
   " He won't terrorize anybody, not on our watch, " Kai sternly spoke while the two followed the other direction going to the evacuees. 

   " Right, " Skoúro nodded and turned to the Kree Eternal. " Are you sure is she gonna be fine there? " 

   " I asked Gladius earlier to check on her while we're working, " Amnon replied.  " She's gradually recovering, don't worry. " 

   " Good, everybody expects her in times like this, " his pyromancer friend said.

    " I hope she pulls through, " his wife added.

    " She will. " 

      On the other side of the tent, Carol heard  Levi conversing with some of the Avengers. The long haired Gladius Fernal from the X-Men was one of them with Bucky Barnes who held his rifle. 

    " So, you said Tengfei and Maverick were coming too, right? " the Dawnblade Exo asked.
 

    " Yeah, but they'll come in two hours from America along with SHIELD, " Gladius nodded and turned to the devastated city from a distance. " Man, this is really a mess. "

    " More like a wasteland, bud, " a long haired brunette man added. " I didn't expect it to happen." 

    " As far as the Avengers are concerned, the Fallen being here makes this a Guardian matter. The Vanguard will have full operational control. " 

   " Yeah, Zavala just told me of what are we gonna expect days from now. Tony's gonna be surprised of what happened here. "

   " Carol had a tough time, hadn't she? " Bucky asked.

   " I need her to be in good condition soon, she's the only one who butted heads with the Leader and got out to tell us, "  Levi answered.  " The quicker she does that, the easier it'll be to understand what we're dealing with."

    " Yeah, " the mutant nodded and looked at her tent. " Everyone's worried about her. " Gladius thought of visiting her and turned to the Exo. " Perhaps, we could talk to her, right now. "

    " Aye. "

    " I'll just guard around the place, " the Winter Soldier said. " You guys can go. " 

    The two men entered her tent as she looked at her visitors. Carol took her glass of water and drank. Gladius and Levi saw her and some portable chairs on her bedside. 
 

   " Come in..." the blonde half-Kree woman placed her cup on the corner. " Please seat down. " 

   " Amnon asked me to check on you, " Gladius said. " He's gonna help the evacuees, first. "

   " I see, " Carol nodded. " He's busy with his angelic sister and demon soul boy this time. " She turned to Levi and asked, " You need something from me? "

   " I can tell from the Ketch that this is the Fallen doing, but I heard that you fought their Leader in the Throne Room. I need an identity, what does the House of Dusk plan to do here?"

    She was thrown off eight hours ago along with Amnon.  What was that House of Dusk? No, Levi had that wrong. Carol gulped and felt sweating. If her Mind Stone would allow her to erase that memory, she would do that. Gladius and Levi looked at her with concern and waited for her to answer.

   " Crap...this is not a good idea for talking. I failed in taking that son of gun! If only I could shrink myself right now, " she anxiously thought and answered. " Look, there's this guy named Sivarius who took over the entire Kingdom. He had those infectious nanobots entered my body which I was supposed to regenerate."

    " So, you mean you can't handle those since you're a half-Kree? " the mutant asked. 

   " Yeah. I'm sorry, guys. I failed. " 

   " I see. " 

   Gladius sadly sighed and bowed his head which he never expected a fellow Infinity Avenger didn't make it. Levi's entire body went still, his hands unconsciously turned to fists for a reason they didn't understand, Solar energy began radiating around his body. The Remnite mutant was startled to see his companion when he immediately stood up and stepped back. 

   " Care to say that again, Danvers? "  the Exo defiantly asked.  

   " Are you trying to piss me off, ROBOT? " the half-Kree woman infuriated. 

   " Oh no, Carol..." Gladius nervously muttered. 

   " You said Siva and mentioned nanobots... Did you? Or did you not?! " 

   " FOR PAMA'S SAKE, I DID MENTION! ARE YOU EVEN DEAF?! " she angrily spoke as her Binary energy radiated more than Levi's Solar Energy.

   " I'm gonna call your son right now, Carol. This is serious! I can't use my purging light, here! " 

    Levi held out his arm, his Iron Lord axe forms in his hand and he grabbed it with his other, swinging it hard enough to blow away the tent. Carol with Binary form and Mind Stone energy radiated more than ever. 

     " DO YOU NOT REALIZE WHAT THIS MEANS, DANVERS!? "

    " I WAS TRYING TO HIT THAT INTERSTELLAR TERRORIST OUT OF WAKANDA! "

    " Carol, please calm down... please calm down..."

    " THOSE AREN'T TERRORISTS! " Levi yelled in reply. " THEY'RE LIVING MACHINES, BENT ON CONSUMING EVERYTHING IN THEIR PATH, AND YOU LET THEIR COMMANDER TAKE THE THRONE!"

    " SO WHAT? I WAS HAVING A LIFE AND DEATH SITUATION, THERE! EVEN, I RISKED MY LIFE TO TAKE HIM DOWN! NOW, ASK MY KREE ETERNAL SON, HE WITNESSED EVERYTHING OR HOW ABOUT THE KING OF WAKANDA! "

     Gladius thought of pacifying the two as he kept moving his head to and fro. He looked at the tent's opening. Bucky paused and eavesdropped as he turned to the mutant.

   " Dude, this has to be stopped..." Bucky approached and lowly spoke.

   " I know...but? " Gladius anxiously spoke. 

   " What? " 

    Levi went silent and let his axe disperse into fire. He then rushed to Carol and picked her up by the collar, winding up and nailing her in the face with a quick yet solid hook. Carol fell down as a drop of blue Kree blood ran on her face. She ignited and blasted him away.

    " OH FOR CRYING OUT LOUD... " Bucky glared at the two.

    " HEY STOP! " Gladius cried.

    Levi landed on his feet and responded with a ball of Solar energy, throwing it right at the blonde woman.  At this point, the Avengers, Infinity Avengers,  and Vanguard were rushing to see what's going on.

    " Bucky, Gladius! " a red-haired Russian woman in a black tactical suit approached them. " What the hell is happening here? "

    " Natasha, these two...." the Remnite mutant pointed at the Exo and half-Kree woman. 

    " ....are DAMN UNSTOPPABLE! " the brunette man indignantly continued. 

    " Za lyubov' Krasnoy komnaty! (For the love of the Red Room!) " Natasha sighed. 

   Kai Izaleith and his companions paused their work and looked at the fight. They saw what was happening. Cayde joined the group. Carol quickly dodged at the ball of solar energy and gave him a glowing punch.

     " What's going on? " Skouro widened her eyes in shock.

     " They're trading blows, " Kai answered. " And this is bad. "

     " But, Mom is just only recovering! " Amnon cried. " Now, she's worse than a dragon! " 

     " Right...." Gladius sighed. " They're gonna cause more trouble! " 

    " I didn't know we were fighting this soon, " Cayde mumbled.

    " You said it, " Bucky nodded.

    
     " We're not...OVER YET! " Carol angrily gritted her teeth as she blasted Levi.

    Zavala and Ikora rushed in and got infront of Levi, Cayde stumbling behind in a follow up. Some Infinity Avengers also rush in to get infront of Carol.

    " Mom! DON'T DO THIS!  " Mr. Marvel or Amnon called her attention, but she ignored her son's yell.

   " Carol! STOP THIS! " his angelic sister added.

   " That's enough! " Kai cried as Carol ceased her energy blasts. Amnon carefully took his mother's hand. 

   " Kid, I was just..." she paused. 

   " Hello, Mother. What's for breakfast? A photon knuckle sandwich?!  " the Kree Eternal politely asked and stressed his words when his mother felt ashamed and remained speechless. Kai, Skoúro, and Gladius sighed at her. 

   " Stand down, Warlock! " the Awoken Barrier Stone bearer bellowed at Levi and glared at Carol.

   " Commander, Danvers-" 

   " Levi! I will not tolerate any excuses! " Ikora interrupted.

    " But Ikora-"

   " And!.. You ruined a perfectly good tent! " Cayde followed.

   " Congratulations to the both of you..." Natasha crossed her arms and glared at the half-Kree woman and the Dawnblade Exo. " You made a wonderful morning. I'm going to report this to King T'Challa immediately. " 

   " Can you just let me speak!? IT WAS SIVA! IT'S THE SPLICERS. " 

    Everyone went silent, even the Vanguard were all shocked. Everyone else seemed confused, what where the Splicers and why did Levi take them so seriously? Amnon looked with a concern to his mother which he felt disappointed. Carol was so speechless and embarrassed which her hot-headed attitude got her in the way. The bearer of the Barrier Stone crossed his arms and he pondered at the Exo's words. 

    " So, you mentioned SIVA and the Splicers..." he sternly  spoke. " Explain this, Warlock."

   " Commander Zavala, it's the Devil Splicers... I though I destroyed them all during the SIVA Crisis but somehow they escaped, and now the entire Splicer army just came crashing down on Wakanda, and she couldn't stop it! She gave them a huge position of power!"

  " Bearer of the Mind Stone, " Zavala turned to Carol. " Is that true? "

  " I tried my best, Zavala, " she sadly sighed when everyone listened at the discourse. " But something had hindered me in that attack."

   " I detected a rather large amountof SIVA in her body Commander, I was able to flush it out of her but the point is, the Splicers are using SIVA nanobots to forcefully infect others, "  Tyrion reported.

    Zavala sadly sighed at his fellow Infinity Avenger as Carol bowed her head in shame. Just like Amnon and the others, he was also disappointed. 

   " We expect everything from you, Miss Danvers, " he sternly said. " To take charge of this situation, since you have discovered this anomaly in the first place. "

   " I'm sorry..."

    Levi kicked up some dirt in anger before stomping off. Just then, Tengfei and Maverick's jumpships could be seen flying towards the camp. The other Quinjets were following with them as they landed. The operatives from SHIELD were there to escort them. They transmitted out of their ships and landed in front of Zavala. The Kree-Chinese SHIELD Agent and his pink-skinned partner dressed in black tactical suits looked at the crowd.

    " It looks like Mr. Barrier Stone Dog has a long sermon to make, " Maverick grinned. " Just like he always does in the Tower! "

    " Rick, let's see what can we do here, " Tengfei replied and noticed Levi and Carol. 

   " I think you should go talk to your buddy, we got a lot of thinking to do, " Cayde told them.

   " Yo, Mr. Barrier Stone Dog, what's the buzz? " the pink Kree man wearing a black leather jacket and pants approached the Titan Vanguard Commander. " We've got back-ups coming. " 

   " The Splicers are here, Maverick, " Zavala replied and turned to the blonde woman and the Exo. " These two have more explaining to do..."

   " This is what I was talking about last time, " the blue Kree SHIELD Agent heavily sighed and raised his hands in interjection. He looked at the kingdom's devastated city and then the temporary settlement where the Wakandan citizens and other forces remained. " Great Pama, this is really terrible. "

   " It's more like they have resurfaced, " Ikora said.

   " Ikora, it's definitely dangerous, " the Kree nodded at the semi balded woman. Then he turned and angrily ranted at Carol. " You're wasting your time bickering and brawling at my friend for Hala's Sake! Don't you realize how much trouble you will cause?! You're the Bearer of the Mind Stone! You're supposed to plan something right now before anything skirmish gets on the way! Do you understand that, Colonel Danvers?! "   

   " Teng, Zavala's right... I should be more responsible, " she humbly replied and sadly looked at everyone as tears watered on her eyes and flowed to her face. " I'm sorry, I've failed all of you... " 

   " Look, guys. I don't mean to be the one being on topic here but, we should be making a plan to take the city. " the Hunter Vanguard pointed out and shrugged. " Let's just stop pointing fingers and do something. " 

   " Well, I think Carol has to help us aside from the Wakandan King and Zavala, " Tengfei crossed his arms. " Whether she likes it or not. " 

    The half-Kree warrior felt uncertain as she got pressured on the people's expectation. Amnon, Skoúro, Kai, and the others felt sorry for her and returned to their respective duties. Tengfei, Maverick, and Levi still glared at her.  

    Out of her failure and shame, she immediately left and headed to the Quinjet where she could temporarily stay. At the supplies compartment, Carol found some bottles of beer and took one. She sat down and opened it which she revived her old habits from her deceased father and US Air Force years had begun. 

   " I'm a useless and worthless prick. Why would everybody entrust me to deal this cosmic crap! " she furiously thought and gulped. " My son and everyone despises me! I can't take this anymore! "
