Sitting in front of a computer, Onora stared at it blankly. She watched the small red light flick on next to the camera on the front. She pressed her lips into a thin line, they were sort of expected to make a mission log, or rather, an entry before going to sleep. Just in case something happened, which didn't really sit too well with Onora now that she thought of it. By that sort of thought process, it's like those back home expected something to happen.

But, then she guessed, this was a daring venture. Who actually knew what was out there in the deepest reaches of space? They for certain didn't have a clue. The AI on the ship could only scan and produce rough estimates of anything nearby, like nearing planets, star systems, asteroid fields; etcetera.

She had stood and watched as people made messages back home to their loved ones, or just rambled endlessly to the camera, as if having a one way conversation - which she guessed they were - or expecting an answer from somewhere. She wasn't going to lie, she had thought quite a bit over this message. Perhaps put a little too much time and thought into it.

She didn't honestly think she had anything to relay back. Not only that, would anyone actually listen to these? If something went wrong, heaven forbid, how forthcoming would the company be to release these last moments of their lives?

Onora realised how depressing she was getting, she looked disheartened on the screen. Though when she felt someone sit beside her, she looked to the side. "You don't need to say anything, if you don't want to." Karine said with a small smile. "It helps, for peace of mind, for some. But naturally that doesn't mean it applies and works for everyone else."

"I just don't really know what to say." Onora admitted. "I don't exactly have anyone to really leave a message to, or for." Karine looked at her sadly for that. Onora slid her eyes back to the screen and sighed. "Everyone else is doing this though, right? Or most have already recorded something. It would be strange if I was the lone one not to." Not only that, if something did happen, there'd be a record of everyone else...but not her, no audio or visual other than what was on record back on Earth. But that wouldn't be video format, just a still. A flat, still, two-dimensional image...Onora gave a shudder, she was seriously thinking way too much on this.

"Just, don't stress. It doesn't even need to be anything of great meaning. It could just be your general thoughts as of right now, your feelings. What you hope to see, or do when we get to our destination."

Onora nodded taking in what Karine had just said. Turning in the wheeled chair, she looked at her, placing her hands in her lap she looked at her questionably. "What did you say...if I can ask?"

Karine smiled, "If it helps, just general chit chat."

That was vague, Onora resisted the urge to frown. She pulled a smile from somewhere, "Thank you, Karine." She turned back to the screen, Karine patted her shoulder and stood to leave. Onora was still stumped. Looking up at the ceiling, her eyes slowly rolled. Reaching out, she grabbed a hold of Walter's sleeve as he seemed to be determinedly walking past. A tray was in his hands, and he looked down at her with a small sense of confusion. "Can you help me?"

"If I can," Walter said flatly, he turned and placed the tray down. The medical equipment caused Onora to fidget unsurely. She honestly thought they had had enough of all of this stuff. Walter tilted his head, catching where she was staring he looked back at her simply. "Vitamins." Onora frowned at that, "You will lose muscle mass as you sleep, your immune level will fluctuate too no doubt. Prolonged use of a hypersleep chamber can cause problems for the human body." Walter explained, actually basic knowledge really. Yet he felt like he needed to say this to explain why he seemed to have gone into doctor mode. "What do you need help with?"

"If you were asked to record a message, for Earth, or whatever, what would you say? I swear I am the only one thinking too much on this."

Walter looked miffed for a moment, he sat up straight in his chair and looked at the computer. Blinking several times, he looked down at her. "I don't understand how I could help. I would never need to do such a thing."

"Metaphorically."

Walter looked back at the computer. "I do not know."

Onora sighed, she leaned against her palm and pouted at the screen. "I...don't suppose your life has been too long, has it, Walter?" She asked curiously, and quietly. "Like, I guess...you couldn't really chatter on about life experiences...and stuff..."

Walter looked at her, he couldn't quite get why she looked saddened. "I think I would mention the human woman who allowed me to plant seeds, to grow something which is unknown to us both. Or, I suppose, the late night talking and star watching. Experiences I have never dabbled in before."

Onora pushed away from her palm and looked at him, she was at a loss. Actually, as simply spoken as his words were, they were lovely. Endearingly lovely. She didn't expect him to come out with something like this. Or that, rather. "Or the kissing..."

Walter's mouth turned into a small smile, "I believed I would refrain from that to avoid making anyone feel uncomfortable."

"More uncomfortable? Might as well go for the full thing." Onora smiled back, people already seemed a little weirded out how close the two were.

Walter shook his head, looking at his lap he turned his hands over before quietly sighing and looking back at her. "Most first time experiences were with you. If I were to have to do a message...it would probably involve you." He seemed a little confused by this admittance, but it caused Onora to smile.

"Stay," she patted his forearm, Walter raised an eyebrow. "Stay," she turned and fired up the computer from standby. Watching as the dormant camera kicked back into life. The two of them appeared on the screen, Walter for one looked a little startled. Onora glanced at him, "I take it you've never had the real pleasure of properly having to look at yourself there, Walter."

Walter looked at her, "Not like this."

Onora rubbed her hands together in thought for a moment before sighing. She clicked record and smiled awkwardly. "I'm actually not too good at this whole talking thing...people, video, even on the phone. That might account for why I've found something with Walter, I have to thank you lot, honestly, for putting him on this ship. That isn't to say that without him I'd be at a loss, but I do struggle with people sometimes...the security lot you've shoved on here, they're...yeah...I mean, I'm sure they'll do the job!" She nervously laughed at the end and fidgeted in her seat. Walter looked at her with unblinking blue eyes before looking back at the screen. "They wanted us to record something, it feels way too much like a possible farewell. I don't like it. Sum up everything in a two minute snippet." Onora sighed and leaned back in her chair. "I'm a biologist, who's made some sort of relationship with an android; something that is not naturally alive, yet here we are...and we're about to see a new world." Onora hit stop, and turned to look at Walter.

He nodded, "Very apt."

"It'll do, won't it?"

"I believe so. Even if some of your wording will cause those back in the office to question some things." Walter turned back to the tray and picked something up before turning back to her. Onora scrunched her nose up at the sight of the medication. "Open wide, I believe is the saying."

"Open wide, and down the hatch..." Onora took what was offered, and her face contorted again. Walter looked sympathetic, "Not nice." She mumbled and shook her head, he smiled and turned to the tray. He picked it up and stood up too, he glanced down at her and Onora stood up and followed after him.

"If you feel unwell, or off, you must tell me." Walter said, he felt Onora's smaller hands hold onto the back of his hooded jumper as they shuffled slowly down the corridor.

"Am I likely to? What did you just give me, Walter?" Onora asked peeking over his shoulder and up at his face, he looked at her with a smile.

"Nothing that will cause you harm, I reassure you. Now, would you like to accompany me with the rest?" Walter watched as she side stepped around him and took to walking beside him, she looked at his little tray of medication and shrugged. She didn't exactly have anything else to do, she nodded. Walter smiled and looked at the tray one last time before attempting to go and find everyone else.
