+ Chapter 12. I need to know the damn truth!
'Sunstreaker, where did you get this information from!'
Optimus had completely lost his patience by now and so had I. 'It doesn't matter, okay? What are you going to do about it?' I snapped. He shook his head and looked away. 'I am so done with you, right now,' he scowled. 'Why is it so hard for you to tell us the truth?' Prowl asked. 'I told you the truth,' I snapped. 'No! Who is the person that told you about this,' Prowl snapped. 'I figured it out myself...' Prowl rolled his optics. 'Liar! You haven't,' he snapped. 'Seriously, what are you working on?' Ironhide asked. 'Nothing, I stumbled upon it,' I snapped. 'Oh, so all the early leaving and ghosting of our phone calls has nothing to do with this?' Ratchet snapped. 'No, not with this,' I sulked. I am not gonna tell them about Skyla.
She's my project and I don't want them to know about her. They will take her away from me for sure and bomb her with questions. Besides, I hate humans and it wouldn't do much good to my ego either. 'It doesn't matter...' I repeated. 'You are the biggest asshole in the entire universe, you know that?' Prowl asked. 'I thought I already got that title years ago,' I sulked. He rolled his eyes, 'look... the most important thing is that I told you guys about it. I wasn't planning on telling it and I really regret I did, but I did. Isn't that the most important thing right now? I have my secrets and I am not going to share them with you. Not because I lost my fate in you but also because I don't trust humans and this will end up in the Lennox office for sure and before I know the entire base knows... plus, I don't help humans. Just deal with it or I will.'
'You are not going to deal with it on your own, Sunstreaker,' Optimus snapped. 'Then stop asking me silly questions and do something about it. Of course you have to ask Lennox first if he approves. You became more of his slave,' I sneered. Steam emerged from Optimus's nose. 'You care more about humans than about me... I don't trust humans. People are at their beck and call from you,' I hissed. Optimus slammed me against the ground and I hit my helm quite hard. I felt Energon oozing out. 'This is enough, Sunstreaker. Go away and don't show yourself anymore unless you actually have something useful to say!' he shouted. I touched my helm and growled before I got up. 'Sometimes I wonder why I have chosen your side...' I snapped and bumped my shoulder into him before walking off.

'He's turning his back on us,' Ironhide sulked. 'He's not.' Ironhide snorted and shot a glare to Prowl. 'I have known him for a very long time, Prowl. He's up to something for sure and he's not going to share it with us.' I turned around. 'Can't you pass by?' he asked. 'I did... I haven't found anything disturbing to my surprise. He's hiding something but nothing at his home. Everything was clean and spotless... no blood or an traces of murder,' he said. 'He's good at cleaning up his mess. You know he's never leaving any traces unless he wants us to see it,' Prowl sulked. 'Maybe this time it's not killing related,' I suggested. 'What should he hide then?'
I shrugged. 'Maybe he got the information from a human. That would be the only explanation why he's not telling us the truth,' I said. 'So, he's telling us how much he hates humans and in the meantime he's talking to one?' Ironhide suggested. I gave a small nod, 'why else wouldn't he tell us?' I asked. 'Perhaps because he's talking to a Deception?' Prowl scowled. 'No, I don't believe that. They are the fault that Sideswipe is missing so I don't think he will ever join them.'
'Maybe he can make a deal. Maybe they tell him where Sideswipe is. You know that Sunstreaker would die to get his brother back. The bond between the two is too strong. I bet Sunstreaker is willing to sacrifice everything, just to save his brother,' Prowl stated. 'I don't believe that... I think he's talking to a human.' I turned around. "Mirage?' The spy grunted as he turned visible. 'How many times do I have to tell you that I don't want you to spy on us?' I asked. 'Yeah, yeah... I know but it was Sunstreaker,' he mocked. 'Can figure out who he's talking to? Trace his phone calls?' I asked. 'Yeah, I will see what I can do,' he replied and walked off.
((Skyla's P.O.V))
Sunstreaker grunted and held some ice against his head while sitting on the couch. He was scowling for the last 30 minutes after he arrived and his head didn't seem to get any better. He had a fight with Optimus and apparently, his bipedal-mode affected his holoform as well. Sunstreaker wasn't in the mood to talk either. 'Skyla?' I slowly got up. 'Can you remind me again why I am doing this?' he sulked. I sat down next to him. 'Because you wanted it,' I signed. He sighed softly and laid the ice sack next to him on the couch and reached for my face. He gently brushed some strands away from my cheeks and sighed. 'Your skin is so soft,' he mumbled. It was the first time he touched me. 'I had some issues with Prime. I don't think he will ever choose me,' he said quietly. It really bothered him. 'I don't believe you, you know why?' I signed. He shook his head. 'Because, he knows you longer than the humans and you're his best and only front liner. I think he does listen to him but humans put him in a difficult position. Our government can be harsh, especially when it comes to races not from this earth. They feel threatened and how can you blame them? The Decepticons are dangerous,' I signed.
Sunstreaker sighed and pulled me in a hug. I froze. 'Perhaps...' he muttered. I think he needed the hug more than I did. I absolutely hate it to be touched but I didn't want to be rude either. Sunstreaker let go of me after a couple of seconds and grabbed the ice sack again.
